- Three Ponds is the only location in the Skyline Valley region that cannot be marked on the map after surveying the area at one of the region's lookout towers (High Knob Lookout, Old Rag Lookout and Stony Man Lookout).
- During early versions of the Skyline Valley Public Test Server, this location did not have any enemies present. In the May 9, 2024, update to the PTS, a scene-type random encounter spawn was added to the location.
