The tour bot switches from his robotic speech to Gage's, and Colonel Smith's, when explaining the history of Boston Common.
Thomas Gage was a general in the British Army during the American Revolutionary War. On the night of April 17th, 1775, Gage had called upon Lieutenant Colonel Smith to impart orders based on information he had received from the Earl of Dartmouth four days prior. He tasked Smith with gathering twenty-one companies of their best men and carry them with the utmost expedition and secrecy to Concord, where he was to seize and destroy all artillery, ammunition, provisions, tents, small arms and all military stores. While Smith had expressed concerns about about the well-being of the Colonists present in the area, Gage assured him that he and his men were not to plunder the inhabitants or damage any personal property, but that they can and must defang them.
General Gage is mentioned-only in Fallout 4.
