Every day that goes by, I long more and more for those simple times I took for granted.
I miss good food and fresh water, sure, who doesn't. But to feel the wind rush through my hair as we cruised down the highway, I would give anything for one more ride.
Now we sit here, rotting away overlooking the now shattered roads. There never will be going back to those days. I'm just thankful I can still sneak up here past the military and watch the stars with you. To have you my old friend, is all I really need.
