"The Washington Post" is an American patriotic march that plays on Enclave Radio. The arrangement used in Fallout 3 was done by Rick Rhodes & Danny Pelfrey and was released in 1996 on the Sound Ideas CD Time Marches On. It was re-released in 2003 on the Westar Music CD Proud and Spirited (WSR 171).[1] The in-game version truncates the song, significantly shortening it, with a filter added to make it sound distorted and low-fidelity.

The owners of the Washington Post newspaper requested John Sousa, the leader of the United States Marine Corps Band, compose a march for the newspaper's essay contest awards ceremony. The march was presented at the ceremony and became quite popular thereafter.
