The Vault of the Future is an ambient music track composed by Mark Morgan for the Fallout soundtrack. The track is available as a part of the Vault Archives compilation.

NotesEdit

If one listens closely, Russian murmuring as well as whispering voices in reverse can be heard, which says: "…в докладах рассматривается эволюция ядерных арсеналов и социально-психологические проблемы гонки вооружений…"(English translation: "...the reports examine the evolution of nuclear arsenals and socio-psychological problems of the arms race ...").

  • This sample can also be found (and most likely was taken from) in Depeche Mode track "To have and to hold" (1987), which is devoted to nuclear arms race and possible grave consequences. Basically, the same theme as Fallout. It was taken from the news program of USSR First channel from around 1985-1986.

AppearancesEdit

The Vault of the Future appears in Fallout, it is played while the Vault Dweller is in Vault 13. It also makes an appearance in Fallout: New Vegas, while the Courier is in Vault 22.
