The Scribe of Avalon is the third season in Fallout 76. It is ongoing from December 15, 2020 (two weeks after the initial launch of Steel Dawn), to April 27, 2021.

Background

Season three is set upon the Scribe of Avalon board game based on the Astoundingly Awesome Tales publication The Atomic Chronicles of K.D. Inkwell, Volume 101: "The Scribe of Avalon." The game follows K.D. Inkwell, a time-traveling historian, as she is sent on a Guild of Antiquities mission to investigate a rapid burst of technological advancements in the medieval civilization of Avalon.

In order to catalog the curious technologies, Inkwell is dispatched to the 5th century to locate Cynnoc, the Scribe of Avalon. Along the way, the guild suggests finding Alistair, a Knight of Avalon, to assist in locating the scribe. Armed with guild-authorized equipment, Inkwell is also warned of the local barbarian population.
