Event: Test Your Metal is a public event planned to appear in Fallout 76, introduced in the Test Your Metal update.

Quick walkthrough

In order to gather data on the Rust Eagles' battle bots, a Brotherhood field team led by Initiate Pappas must face them in combat. Join them at the Metal Dome and bring honor to the Brotherhood of Steel by enduring wave after wave of mechanized mayhem in gladiatorial combat.

"Test Your Metal" is a multilayer pun on the phrase "test your mettle" (which means having the courage to carry on through a difficult task), referencing both the composition of the robots and the Brotherhood of Steel defenders.
The event was first added to the game's files with the Steel Reign update, but is not currently implemented pending testing in the Public Test Server.
