Power Armor[]

I have found it possible to reach the Yangtze in power armor. After discovering it, you are able to fast-travel to a boat nearby. It is possible to sprint and jump from a bit further up on the boat in order to reach the Yangtze in power armor. You will land a bit back on the sub. From there you can walk up to the entrance door. This means part of the article (part of the notes section) is incorrect and should be amended.

Layout[]

Is it possible that someone with a bit better map reading skills or knowledge about the actual layout of the sub replace the useless section titled layout? We don't need guesses as to how this looks american or what the terminals are in a section that is suppose to have information about the layout. Miscue (talk) 06:21, December 11, 2015 (UTC)

Fact[]

Wiki is about facts, not your personal assumptions nor fanfictions. Please stop editing unfounded assumptions as facts and save everyone and yourself the time.

Notes[]

Can we get rid of the notes that speculate on the subs origin. It was a Chinese submarine, going by the way Zao talks about her. The developers most likely used pre-existing signs and objects instead of creating stuff that would only be found on the Yangtze. Nick3258 (talk) 15:10, December 22, 2015 (UTC)

Pinyin Translation[]

While Chang Jiang is the correct word in Pinyin for the Yangtze, Pinyin only became a common system in China in the late 1950s, and was introduced to the west in the early 80s. So it is possible, and quite likely, in the fallout world that Pinyin was never properly adopted, and therefore Yangtze would be the most accurate approximation of the name into English rather than Yangzi or Chang Jiang (if it is named after the whole river rather than the portion called Yangzi).

2nd Fusion Core[]

What happend to that Info about the second Core, located besides one of the engines(?) -> If you go to the reactor's low level and face back the direction you came from (the entracne/bridge) -> go left door and below inside the water is an open green box (like some in the crew quarters) - inside the core. ...i forgot HomerDOHSimpson (talk)

Nonsense in article.[]

"When comparing the Yangtze's side profile to that of classical submarines, it misses a large section of the lower stern. The absence of this section significantly reduces its weight, adding to its speed. Combined with the angled hull in the front and the added propellers in the mid-section, the Yangtze would have had superior speed and maneuverability over classical tube-shaped submarines. "

While that may be the case, it would massively decrease the hydrodynamic efficiency of the boat, thereby drastically increasing the noise generated when under-way. That is something which is absolutely counter productive to the purpose of the sub, which is to remain undetected (i.e. be stealthy) until the missiles are launched. Not to mention that such an impact on the hydrodymanic form of the boat would also hurt its overall speed. Basically, it's 100% nonsense. Is there a reason that above quote is in the article?

Agreed, that bullet point was absolute nonsense. I can't find any lore to back it up, so I deleted it.
