It says that you need a Shovel to dig. But I just could dig it without a shovel. I was playing on the Xbox 360. Anyone else could get it without using a Shovel? And there was no omelet on the stove. Only found The Chopper--NoFearz NL 17:11, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

Additional Information[]

I have got the German version of Fallout: New Vegas and it's still called "Wolfhorn ranch" and not "Ulysses' Lager".

Page mentions both:

"If you follow the paths built behind the ranch, and have a shovel to dig with, you can find some random loot buried in a grave atop a hill overlooking the highway to the northwest."

and

"On the ridge above the house you'll hear a radio. Turn to the east and there is a Burial Mound with weapons, ammo, and a little gear in it."

Is this the same grave? Jaywhoopee 20:33, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

2 Stealth Boys[]

When I first time go into this room ,two lockers are empty, but the one ammunition box which is not 357 ammo have a stealth boy in it. Then I leave the house save the game in outside and go into it again ,I found one of the locker have a stealth boy and some ammo in it ,so I get two. I found many shacks or safehouses will have this situation.^^

Neither of the ammo boxes had a stealth boy for me. I think it's random. Dbbolton 14:05, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

It exist a Farm house on this farm[]

Ulysses Home?[]

So, from the mentioned non-English versions of this game, are we to conclude that Ulysses' last name is Wolfhorn? -- The Arcadian Rook(talk)(Needs More Battle Cattle) 03:22, August 16, 2011 (UTC)

Ulysses' name isn't Ulysses. His name was given to him whilst he was in his former tribe, I think.

Bighorner?[]

Where have all the bighorner gone? Could Ulysses have slaughtered them before leaving, if not, why would they walk away from their "home" full of crops and other shrubby morsels? I found two bighorner south of the farm, and a bighorner calf southwest of the bighorners. Are these always there to suggested the abandoned livestock are grazing?

Unknown Grave?[]

I would really like to know who was originally intended to occupy the grave atop Wolfhorn Ranch. One of the Dialogue options when speaking to Ulysses I believe during Lonesome Road is "Did your family die in the Divide"...Being as their is only one grave i would think a "family" wouldnt fit...Since it is believed that Ulysses was originally supposed to be a companion in the Vanilla Game I wonder if there was a backstory to the grave or if it was supposed to represent something? One could speculate I guess but i still wonder who the grave at wolfhorn ranch could have belonged to ? 75.24.119.38 20:57, June 24, 2012 (UTC)KingSlayer

This is possibly one of the most disappoiting locations in the wasteland... why go to all the trouble of making such a big farm... to do nothing with it--81.249.95.223 21:17, August 22, 2012 (UTC)

The grave[]

The grave location seems a favourite spot used for camping before the person died. Radio. Fire. Fantastic view. Flagpole but no flag. Sign posts but no signs. They had a favourite book , played a Harmonica and wore a Merc Grunt Outfit. The grave is exactly alignted to point to Canyon Wreckage. A awful lot of creative work for what? and while I`m searching the scene who turns up in the Maize crop? , my old buddy,The Legionary Assassin in the Decanus Helmet. Getting to feel very sorry for the guy sent on missions impossible. Walk over the ridge to the West and his three buddies all friendly by then are standing so close together that one .50 MG Explosive (GRA) round kills all three at once...Very fitting don`t you think.. --92.14.242.164 09:54, November 27, 2012 (UTC)

Is Wolfhorn Ranch a reliable safe housing?[]

I passed through here while I am through with the quest Cold Cold Heart and gotten the quest Booted, Passing through the highway and Raiders Viper gunslingers attack me they seem to be near the proximity of Wolfhorn Ranch so is this a good player housing aside from the Legion, NCR, BOS, Followers of the Apocalyspe Safehouses & elsewhere like New Vegas or Freeside Safe?

Yes actually I'd say it is, In my game I use the pillbox/guard tower atop the hill to help fend off Legion and raider attacks. Its quite useful in this sense, yet I would recommend heavily mining the area in front of the pillbox (as I did) along with the perimeter around the fence and walls itself. It helps with protection. So yes this location is relatively safe for player settlement, with the crops in the field that aren't dead giving a constant supply of food along with the Bighorners. Its made extra safe if you have wasteland survival mods installed (i'm on PC). CaptainCain (talk) 14:24, June 30, 2014 (UTC)
