reply tables[]

I added the reply tables from the game scripts that I dug out with some datacrunching. If anyone has figured out the requirements for each reply (because I can't read those from the scripts), feel free to continue filling those in. Also, maybe some cleanup in the discussion prior to the tables is in order...

--Mirar 08:31, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
Looks like they have requirement listed in Survival Expert perk article: In 7 for smart, Pe 7 for Snide, St or En 7 for Tough and Ag or Ch 7 for Sly. So, I met requirements for tough answer when I got 7 Endurance --GreLI 16:13, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Do you know what negative bonus do? --GreLI 16:17, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

misc[]

Just a little hint for anyone that may be trying to do this quest, according to the strategy guide I have (and i did the quest according to how it described it, it is easy) it is better to use a different entrance then the tunnel one that Moira informs you about. If you explore the outside of the building you will find a bridge leading to another area of the wasteland, with a door leading into the building. Going this way I encountered only 3 mirelurks, all easily avoided with a stealth boy. Skitz470 03:28, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

But doesn't that door have a 100-difficulty lock?

  • There's an even better entrance if you are into stealth, though it does require a bit of RadAway and Rad-X. The south-eastern tip of the little island has an underwater entrance, which leads to an underwater passage (there's a place to rise up and catch your breath halfway in). At the end of the passage is a clutch of Mirelurk eggs, and no Mirelurks around at all, though I still went into Sneak mode just to keep from making "tasty human over here" noises. Obviously you're going to get a lot of Rads from the water and drowning is definitely a possibility, but you shouldn't run into any Mirelurks at all. --Webgiant 11:55, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Killing the quest giver is usually a bad idea[]

Anyone know if it is at all possible to do this quest once you have blown up Megaton?82.20.39.187 22:53, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

  • She moves to Undercity within a few days

Can you do the Wasteland Survival Guild after you kill Moira (Note: I didn't blow up Megaton and I disarmed the bomb)??--GATEWAY414 12:29, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

  • No. Moira is the only NPC who can advance the Wasteland Survival Guide quest. --Webgiant 11:45, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Are Bonuses Stackable?[]

Question: "If you complete all 9 of the optional quest tasks, you will get a copy of the book, as well as the Survival Expert perk, which adds +6% to Poison & Radiation resistance. Also, depending on the type of answers you used after finishing each quest (Strong, Agile, Endurant, Intelligent or without any attribute) you will recieve these bonuses: +6% damage ressitance for Endurance, + 3% critical hit chance for Perception, +6 Sneak, +6 Speech for Agile, +6 Medicine +6 Science for Intelligence or +15 Health for not using any attributes in the answers. If you complete 6-8 optional quest, you will only 2/3 of the rewards listed (eg. +4 % rad resist, +4% poison resist etc...) and if you do 0-5 optional task you will recieve only 1/3 of the max possible reward."

Can anyone explain this section? Do I get different bonuses per answer?

I don't think the bonuses are stackable. +6*9=54 to 2 skills, or +15*9=135HP, +6*9=54 damage resistance, or even +3*9=27 Critical chance... Any of them sounds crazy imo.
If I was correct, you only gain the final one type of survivor depends on which way you answered most times. And the bonuses cannot be stacked.
No, you only get one type. Which type depends on which type of reply you used most. Mirar 08:29, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Bug?[]

There seems to be a bug regarding the rivet city section of the quest, the optional objective in particular. After talking to pinkerton and getting all the info, exiting through either door back to rivet city causes the game to autosave and freeze up, no amount of reloading seemed to help. I had both this and the android quest active at the time, have not tested doing only one at a time.189.216.145.196 07:57, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Did anyone else get chemicals from the mole rat quest? She says she doesn't need them (because it explodes their heads) and gave them to me. I'm on the PC version. Nevakee11 04:24, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

I think if you do the optional reward she gives you a whole bunch of chems (jet, psycho, something)

point of interest: i was talking to moira to take the robco quest while wearing the mechanists helmet and was given the dialogue option to say something like "dealing with old technology? no job for.. The Mechanist!"

Moira's migration to Undercity?[]

I blew up Megaton the second time already (as i play for the second character now) but ghoulish Moira never made it to Undercity - she stays at the ruins and doesn't even try to go somewhere from it... But she still reapairs my stuff. Maybe a bug? --Merinid 05:36, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

I was given the Mini Nuke as a reward for completing the full questline, rather than for Arlington Library. I updated the article as such82.3.87.13 18:10, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

maybe she didnt went to undercity, because WoW and fallout 3 are diferent games.

Bug![]

I completed the Rivet City part first and then took the quest for the Library. Then i headed back to the RC completed there a few quests including The Replicated Man , then went to the Library. Now Moira keeps talking about the RC History and I can't continue the quest. Never talk with the npcs in RC about the history after finishing that part and be careful with the Replicated Man quest!

The same seems to apply to me. Will reload an earlier save and try to do the Library quest.

I've got this bug too but there's no way I'm going back to do all that again. I'll just have to wait for them to patch it out.

I guess it could be repaired via console, set quest to right status. But someone would need to play around with GECK to find those values :(

I got this too, guess I'll have to reload to get the achievement. EDIT: I chose the charisma check option just to see what would happen and it unglitched, allowing me to finish the quest.

" When looked at through the Pipboy, it says the book is filled with useless notes and shouldn't "[]

Not entirely true. Like stated previously in changes depending on well done the guide is. For a high intelligent character, it is stated to be very technical. —Preceding comment was unsigned. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

While I haven't found this particular character, it would seem from the description that it isn't saying the guide is useless, but the notes that the wastelander who owned the book scribbled in the margins is useless. Also, wether it's "very technical" or whatnot, that depends on your answers, not your stats. Granted to have the [Intelligent] response (and therefore a technical guide) you need to have high intelligence, but you don't have to select that option. —ErzengelLichtes (Contribs) 23:09, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Mole Rat Subquest Reward Wrong?[]

I got 3 doses each of Jet and Psycho, not 4, like the article says. I killed 10 Moles. Did you get 4 each or is the page wrong? -RedKnight7 19:07, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

I got 2 doses each of Jet and Psycho and I did the optionnal... I think it depend on the answer you give... I gave "It's like explosive whack-a-Mole Rat. Can I get it in bullet form? For people?" which is the mean one... 69.159.131.160 15:22, 10 January 2009 (UTC) 10:24, 10 January 2009 (EST)

  • Moira is scripted to survive the destruction of Megaton as a ghoul in Underworld. In this new location she will continue to offer you "Wasteland Survival Guide" quests. Apparently word never quite gets around to her that you were The Cause Of It All. --Webgiant 11:43, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Unclear reply tables.[]

The lists of replies for every objective is extremely confusing and unclear. For example, perception replies are said to be of the "smart" type, but the page for the Survivor Expert perk claims that perception and snide replies are the same, and the snide and smart responses yield different rewards. If the information on the perk page is correct, why is the type list even here? It seems to serve no purpose but to confuse people.--Mehbah 06:05, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

The game defines responses against the categories given, but they do not depend only on one skill - some 'smart' responses need intelligence, and some need perception. Some 'tough' responses need endurance, and some strength. Some 'sly' responses need charisma, while others need agility. Looking at the script in the GECK, the tables given are incorrect in a few places - I might try to correct them later, but I probably won't have the time for a little while. RandomData 07:15, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Tepid Sewer Molerats[]

I cleared Tepid Sewer out of Raiders and Molerats before attempting this portion of the quest and obviously there's no molerats there now, just corpses. Do they respawn? Or is there any other places infested with molerats? Bbcode 15:44, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Molerats appear in lots of places. They are a fairly common simple Wasteland (outdoor) animal spawn. I'm almost always attacked by a few northwest of Springdale School, on the way to Minefield. I'd say just go do some other exploring/quest but remember to whip out your Repellent stick when you come across some more. Check Moira's Quest to see when you've got enough for the Optional part, or keep a count of your MR Meat. -RedKnight7 16:14, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Check out the RobCo Facility - it's swarming with molerats and radroaches and nothing more dangerous.RandomData 19:08, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Good point. I checked GECK, and there are 13 at RobCo and 13 in the Jury St. tunnels (where the Mole rat wonder meat machine is). No other Interior place stands out like these two. (There are a total of 55 Molerats in Interiors; these two places account for almost half of them.) FWIW, there are 145 across the Wasteland (outside), almost all in groups of 2 or 3. Trivia: Dukov's Place has a mounted molerat head. -RedKnight7 18:16, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
  • Jury Street seems to have the greatest number of Mole Rats which are far away from anything trying to kill them. The ones in Tepid Sewers generally all get shot by the time I get to them (which is how the "hints from Moira" usually go). --Webgiant 12:00, January 20, 2010 (UTC)
  • what if you have the animal friend perk? mole rats just stand there.. and if you hit/kill them, you don't *gain* experience using the silly repellent :·( -- any help? [A] 22:23, March 17, 2010 (UTC)
  • Not sure what you mean. Even with the Animal Friend perk, the kills still count towards the total.

And now, a non-sequitor[]

Thanks for the info redknight, hey do you think you could investigate some of the odd "triggers" that happen in the wasteland, they are like random encounters except they are none of the ones that have been experienced (uncle leo, friendly radscorpion etc.) and they sometimes only happen if you enter a certain area and do i certain action 92.235.60.202 18:18, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Counting "fixed" items is (usually) pretty easy in GECK, but triggers are entirely another thing. I haven't figured out how to trigger encounters; I don't even know if the info is in GECK. Sorry, but I can't help you there. You might try Talk:Fallout 3 random encounters. -RedKnight7 21:04, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

RobCo Stress Test hostile/friendly[]

"the second 'stress test' option makes them attack each other as well as the player" - I just did this and they were friendly to me (even as I attacked them), but they also said "Law-abiding citizens have nothing to fear" when they detected me. I have (very) good karma, and I'm assuming that's the difference. It's a very minor point, but I thought I should get confirmation before changing anything. 69.0.18.242 23:29, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

no, law abiding citizen is the random rehashed routine they normally say.

"stress test" is only for robots to attack other non human robots

only the "total liquidation" determines if they attack you or not.

Possible bug: Book description/review?[]

I completed the Wasteland Survival Guide questline with all optional objectives successfully met aside from three (Super Duper Mart/Mole Rats/RobCo Facility). I always reported back to Moira truthfully, without using any of the 'lie' dialogue options. Despite this, the completed copy of the book has the worst possible review (the one ending with "[...]Worst of all, it tries to sound highbrow while offering this poor information. Following its advice would be an invitation to a tragic end.").

Granted, I wasn't expecting the best available review, but surely I should have ranked a little higher up the scale than rock bottom, considering only three optional objectives went unfulfilled... :S 195.188.114.87 17:49, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Not a 'bug' precisely. When the book is generated, the script generates the description by looking at how many bonus objectives were completed for each chapter and what 'style' dominated. As even that leads to a LOT of variables, the 'bad' text is chosen if you only completed two or less of the bonus objectives for each chapter. As you didn't complete all three bonus objectives for any chapter, you were given the worst text description. Bit harsh in my opinion, but there you go. As you completed six bonus objectives, you would have received the intermediate reward, despite getting the worst book. The perk reward / random encounters are based on the sum of the bonuses (minus all the negatives) - if you get less than five, you get the bad perk, get less than nine, you get the intermediate perk and if you get all nine, you get the best perk. RandomData 19:11, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Glitch[]

When talking to Moira Brown about the Arlington Library quest, conversation freezes and I have to reload. 67.142.130.41 01:55, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

2 questions[]

what perk bonuses do you get if you give an equal number of stat related answers? and can you go through the quest doing all the chapters and getting the rewards but before finishing the quest persuade her that she doesnt know what shes doing and get the dream crusher perk?

Looking at the GECK, the script defaults to the Standard response if there's a tie, which would make sense. As long as you don't cash in for whichever quest you pick last, you can indeed crush her dreams (although the EXP bonus is less, the more chapters you complete, if I'm reading the script correctly - 300Exp if you stop the quest straight away, 200 if you complete the first chapter and 100 if you complete the second as well). Heh - looking through the script, it seems that there was originally a final stage where you printed the book out at Hubris Comics Publishing - sounds like it could have been fun, and explains what all that machinery in the Hubris basement is for. RandomData 18:51, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Dogmeat = Pest[]

A note needs to be made in the Robot Area. If you set the Bots to attacking only Pests, they will Attack Mole Rats and Rad Roaches, but they will ALSO attack Dogmeat, as he is apparently considered a Pest by their targeting Parameters. Either leave him outside or don't turn them on Pest Control.

Equal amount of responses.[]

I was wondering what happens if you answer equaly. Like 1/3 Snide 1/3 Tough and 1/3 Normal or 4 Answers of the same, 4 of other and one random.

  • If there's a tie the game will pick the Standard result. --Webgiant 12:00, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Unresettable?[]

I tried using the console commands to reset the quest, but when I do so she no longer says anything about the quest in her dialog. I've tried this after completing the quest as well as before talking to her to complete it. Livingston 03:09, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Same here. I hope someone has a solution for this. (I encouraged her to end writing the book prematurely, so I'm stuck with the RobCo processor widget, and I would like to be able to actually finish the quest now.)
EDIT: Actually, typing in "setstage 14296 02", then talking to Moira, got the quest to re-add its self. The objective it to speak to Moira, however, the only new dialogue option that is available is to ask her what she does, which leads nowhere. Tgp1994 19:46, April 24, 2010 (UTC)
EDIT #2: Ok, to completely restart the Wasteland Survival Guide quest, you must type "setstage 14e96 05". You should see the console return "set MS03a >> 1". Then talk to Moira, and you will know what to do from there. For some reason, I am stuck with the objective "Ask Moira Brown about her book." Perhaps it will go away after I complete a major part of the quest. I will also make a not about this in the WLSG main page.

Anyone else stuck with the observer?[]

I can't get rid of it! Anyone know how, on Xbox 360.

"If you persuade Moira to stop writing the book after she gives you the Observer, you will be stuck with this in your inventory as it is a quest item and cannot be dropped, but can also no longer be placed in the clutch of Mirelurk eggs. The Observer wastes 1 pound." Did you read the article? You're stuck with it. Fgibson 02:03, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

I wrote that part of the article before I made this discussion, I was hoping perhaps someone had a solution that wasn't mentioned!

More Trivia[]

I hate to keep bringing these up, but it's quickly becoming my pet project. The 2 "Trivia" bullets need review. I see the possible link between the Zombie Survival Guide, but the 2nd reference is obviously reaching. I'll leave it for now, but if I don't get a good defence in a week, I'm deleting it. --RedTracer7 02:10, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Videos that were removed for this quest[]

I removed the videos for 2 reasons. First it adds clutter to an already cluttered page and second, the quest can be done in many different ways with many different outcomes that having various video of all the different outcomes would be crazy. Having videos of just one or two outcomes is just as crazy too.--Kingclyde 16:59, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Mirelurk Glitch?[]

Using 2 different characters, I've tried to place the observer in a clutch of mirelurk eggs. With my first character, I got the quest before clearing the mirelurks. While letting the mirelurks beat up on me I ran up to a clutch of eggs and the only option I received was to open the clutch (resulting in mirelurk meat). With my second character, I cleared the area of mirelurks, got the quest, went back and still didn't get the option to place the observer - holding a weapon, not holding a weapon, clicking on the observer in the pip boy, it didn't make a difference (the only option I got was to drop the observer) PLEASE HELP!! --75.68.143.73 01:51, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

All I did, was go to the top were my house is and jump off to the building below, you don't die from the fall and you get hurt. Use a grenade throw it in the corner were you land to get a cripple injury, and should be set to do 1 or 2 more additional jump to complete that part of the quest without ever having to leave Megaton. Assuming you are already at full health.GodsHand 16:51, March 18, 2010 (UTC)

RobCo mainframe quest bug?[]

I tried to use Robotics Expert to finish the quest, and it went through the proper dialog, but the correct entries in the quest log never showed up. Does it still count as having been finished, or is this a bug? 112.201.202.120 16:58, October 25, 2009 (UTC)

I've already told you[]

OK, I'm on the last part of the guide with RobCo, but everytime I talk to her the only option is on rivet city, this is probally beacuse I took the seat posistions after I told her so that may be it, but does anyone know a console command to fix this? (I was lucky that it happand on my PC version) - RASIC 19:36, October 25, 2009 (UTC)

OK, I've looked at the article and know why this has happanded, but which command do I need to put in? I'm going for tough and RobCo is my last objective (I'm done Robco with optional). Which one?:

  • setstage 14e96 70
  • setstage 14e96 80
  • setstage 14e96 90

- RASIC 20:02, October 25, 2009 (UTC)

I believe it is 14e96 80. --Kingclyde 21:52, October 25, 2009 (UTC)

Rivet City/Moira missing dialogue bug and solutions[]

(v1.4) After completing the Rivet City History Quest and its optional objective but before receiving the Survival Expert Perk, if the player asks Pinkerton for proof of Rivet City's history the second time, a glitch will cause Moira's conversation to revert back to the Rivet City History Quest. Since the player has already completed the quest, the only option to continue the Wasteland Survival Guide is to lie. The player will still be able to receive the Survival Expert Perk (Rank: Survival Expert) upon completion of the quest. However, whether the player can receive the Survival Guru Rank is unclear.

If you find yourself stuck on this stage it is possible to complete the quest with console commands in any order.

  • setstage 14e96 70
  • setstage 14e96 80
  • setstage 14e96 90

Note that this will only work if you are on the final chapter stages and is only an alternative way of bypassing the bugged dialogue. It is possible to use extra commands to receive Survival Guru before completing the quest, but the commands to simply add the perk are easier.

  • example: player.addperk 331DD for Guru with +6% Damage and Rad and Poison Resistance

Another thing to note here is that this glitch is caused by a single quest variable being reset by Pinkerton's dialogue script (if anyone from Bethsoft reads this, please put a conditional check in his script). If you feel like being pedantic about keeping your save as unfudged as possible you can create a plugin using the G.E.C.K. which resets this value. It just takes 1 line of script:

  • Set MS03.MS03c1 to 4

This should be added to Moira's on-end script for the dialogue option "I can't get a straight answer out of these folks." Then all you do is load the plugin and choose that dialogue option and it will unglitch your save - then you can re-save, disable the plugin again and continue playing as normal. (Ignore the warning about the save depending on a plugin, since it was such a minor change it doesn't matter, and the warning should go away next time you save). Also note that this plugin will almost certainly break the quest if you aren't already experiencing this bug, so be sure to disable it once you have unglitched your save so that you don't end up breaking your other saves.

Pinkerton and Rivet city history.[]

Pinkerton wont tell me the history and doesnt give me his terminal password. I have talked to Belle. Bannon is dead, but the guide says I can still get the password. However, Pinkerton just tells me to 'get lost' when I ask about the history. Therefore I cannot complete the optional part. The guide doesnt mention whever I need a certain level of speech or charisma , my speech is 32 and chr 7. Any ideas?

  • If Bannon is dead you won't be able to get Bannon's outlandish claims about founding Rivet City, and thus Pinkerton won't give you his terminal password for the "Wasteland Survival Guide" quest. What you need to remember is that you have to access Pinkerton's terminal for two quests: The Wasteland Survival Guide, and The Replicated Man. If you polish off enough of The Replicated Man to get Pinkerton's password, you can download Pinkerton's notes on founding Rivet City and finish the optional part of "The Wasteland Survival Guide" as well. This is actually the way I finish the "Rivet City History" quest, as I generally don't bother with talking to Bannon. --Webgiant 11:38, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Possible Bug?[]

When i first arrived at megaton i never entered craterside supply but went straight to blow it up. after i completed the main game (with broken steel add-on) i visited underworld. I met moira but she had the same speech options as in her shop in megaton and even offered me the quest still. Is she supposed to do this or is it a bug? --AllanM 93 19:17, January 5, 2010 (UTC)

  • This is not a bug. Moira is scripted to survive the destruction of Megaton as a ghoul in Underworld. In this new location she will continue to offer you "Wasteland Survival Guide" quests. Apparently word never quite gets around to her that you were The Cause Of It All. --Webgiant 11:19, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

Missing Dialouge Choices[]

Ok so I boosted my strength up to 10, but everytime I complete a portion of the Wasteland Survival Guide the only option there is intelligence, which is also at 10. I was wondering why is there no strength option?

The "Tough" option is actually only triggered by Endurance (of 7 or higher). Not sure why the graph in the article lists STR as well. Or at least try looking for the Endurance option. Sov68n 11:59, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

RobCo Facility: Some robots may remain hostile, no matter the mode[]

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this or not, but I was messing around with the modes on the robco mainframe, and some robots will remain hostile to you, even after disabling total ahniliation. (By the way, enabling the very last option, can't think of it right now, will crash my game after exiting the terminal.)

moira doesnt spawn after nuke[]

SO i told my friend but he didnt beleive me , but if you dont meet moira at least once before detonating megaton she wont spawn afterwards, is this true or am i just wrong.

On my first playthrough I blew up megaton without talking to almost anyone. Moira will spawn after the nuke is set off no matter if you have talked to her or not before you blow up Megaton.

Bugged after rivet city history[]

If you become bugged after completing the rivet city history part of this quest (ie. Moira won't stop asking if you've found out about it) you can work around it by going into the console and typing:

set "00014e96".ms03c1 to 4

...WITH quotes this time.

Worked for me, thought I should let others know.

Yep, bug happened to me. Apparently it comes of asking pinkerton twice. on xbox 360 so nothing I can really do about it.

I had this problem on PS3 the only way i found to continue the quest was to lie to Moira

On the Xbox 360, to get past this bug, you will have to lie with the speech option, though you receive negative karma.

The wasteland survival guide is obtainable in fnv. It uses the same model as it does in fallout 3, and boosts your survival skill by 3. 74.132.1.90 21:45, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Wrong Book Version[]

I completed all optional objectives and eventually obtained the Survival Guru perk as expected. However when I read the book description under notes it was described as "...a wealth of knowledge for wasteland survivors of any stripe" however it also went on to say "...its usefulness is only slightly diminished by rambling notes on the minutia of wasteland species." I don't see this as a bug on the wiki page, so is this something new? It's quite discouraging after all that work for it to give me the wrong version of the book. I just heard Three Dog announce the book on the radio and he described it accurately as well, so the only bug is with the note added to my Pip Boy.Ricky Cactus 15:13, February 4, 2011 (UTC)
And now I've come across the special encounter and it's the one that you get if you complete most of, but not all, the optional parts. It's certainly not game breaking and I did get the proper reward, but this is just annoying having about half the world reacting the wrong way. Ricky Cactus 21:04, February 6, 2011 (UTC)

I have a quick question[]

By skipping some parts of the quest with your skills, do you still get a bonus for doing the optional stuff?

The Robot Factory.[]

Hi! I somehow completed the quest without repairing the computer in the robot factory. I've been trying to repair it anyway, but without the active quest, that's not an option. So I came here looking for a Console Code that I could use to retcon the quest has having been completed by repairing the computer. Is this possible? Return to Moira with injuries[]

this part can easily be done by jumping off over the fence outside her door one or several times

So I noticed. 109.60.97.196 19:03, October 14, 2011 (UTC)

Not as easy as it sounds since you don't always cripple your legs, and if you start too high up, you automatically die from the fall. Also, can anyone else confirm getting the bonus item from using Medicine skill instead? I didn't get the environment suit with Medicine 84. Grail Quest 17:23, March 21, 2012 (UTC)

The easiest way to do it is to jump on a grenade or mine. I've never been hit by one without crippling at least one leg. 83.244.213.90 11:36, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

About the Quote[]

Is it actaully, "... enough paid..." because "... paid enough..." sounds more correct.

I'm not going to jump on this because I don't know for certain either way.

Alternate replies?[]

Why are the relies set into two separate choices? How do I get the alternate replies or are these specific to each gender? Blitzbear93 (talk) 23:04, March 3, 2015 (UTC)Blitzbear93

The replies are split into two different lists based on whether or not you have completed the bonus objective. In the top segment are the available answers if you have not completed the bonus objective and in the bottom segment are the available answers if you have completed the bonus objective. I also thought it was unintuitive when reading it without any context from the quest itself.

Possible Cliffs Notes reference?[]

Surprised no-one's mentioned this, but the book size and thickness + the diagonal stripes design is strongly reminiscent of those Cliffs Notes guidebooks. Anybody else agrees?--Natnair (talk) 04:48, February 16, 2016 (UTC)

Mirelurks edit[]

Added information about the service entrance that was missing, removed incorrect information about the Facility entrance, corrected names and a double punctuation.

Option to place the Observer[]

It's possible to place the Observer without confronting any Mirelurks, an alternative nestle, just go underwater and find a round entry/door that has a nestle.
