Is DR the same as what this does? So the DR is a % amount I assume? Or are they slightly related... ~~     Frvwfr2     talk    contribs   17:53, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Yeah. DR is the same, and it's a % up to a max of 85. So this perk acts as a sort of "natural armor".

This perk if the equivalent of ten points of armor? Totally worth getting. Oh, and Frvwfr2, it means that you take that percent less damage from attacks. So this perk means you take only 90% of the damage from a any attack. And that is without any other armor. --Vault Snake 16:09, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

does this stack with the Cyborg perk?

Yes, up to the max of 85% damage resistance

so does this mean if you have 50 DR you will now have 55 DR (formula DR*1.1) or will you have 60 DR formula (DR+10)?

It would mean you would have 55 dr. I unequipped all of my armor except my lucky shades(DR 1) and bandana(DR 1) and I had a total DR of 3(1 + 1 x 1.1 and then rounded up) Bald Eagle Brennan 23:14, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I was wrong. I'd mistaken myself. The perk adds 10 damage resistance in total. So if you had 50 DR and took this perk you'd have 60 DR in total. Bald Eagle Brennan 20:33, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Does it make any sense to take this Perk without taking Cyborg before at all? It seems like Cyborg gives the same advantage - but plus rad and poison resistance. --Irian 23:47, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Of course it does, because you'll end up with 20 DR without having any armor on, plus the other resistances. In fact, I think that's the only reason to pick the Cyborg perk. --Chill02 21:15, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

In New Vegas, it is a direct +3 to DT. It is not a percentage increase.

-- it is true, but this perk is still pretty valuable considering the best armor+helmet you can get will give you a total of 36 DT.

if you take both levels of this as well as get the dermal plating implant, you can increase your DT by more than 25% over the best armor in the game.

New Vegas: Does this perk add to your head/limb DT? for example if I had no helmet or hat on and had this perk would I have 3 DT for my head?
