Pretty sure Curie doesn't actually like speaking as the Silver Shroud, did the entire quest chain with her and always speaking as the shroud and only when confronting the one who sells chems to children does a "like" show up so I'm assuming she only likes the threatening of that guy, not the actual speaking as the shroud

Option 1 isn't a real option, more like an exploit. It doesn't seem likely it was intended for you to snipe at the guards from within the elevator without being detected (it just wouldn't make sense.) In any case, it wouldn't be necessary to off the guards at all; Options 2 and 3 are obviously intended to be the ideal choices. The player just needs to pass the Charisma check (boosted by drugs and/or apparel if necessary), then VATS-headshot Sinjin with an adequately powerful/accurate gun -- I used a 4-cranked laser musket; a crit on the first shot reduced him to within an inch of his life and the second shot finished him. You ''may or may not'' need to slow down the time with drugs. You ''probably'' should position yourself in order to have a clean and good line of sight to Sinjin's head before initiating combat/conversation...but moving too much or too far ''might'' trigger Sinjin to kill Kent immediately. In case the player's Charisma is too low to pass the speech check, he can try save-scumming or try the exploit currently presented here as "Option 1."

Can't start quest

I can't seem to start the quest, no matter how long I listen to the radio. I found the Silver Shroud items before trying to start the quest. Using the console I see that stages 0, 50, 80 and 200 of MS04 are done, but the quest doesn't appear on my pip boy. --Alfwyn (talk) 02:49, November 20, 2015 (UTC)

Well, I could start the quest however by talking to Kent in the Memory Den. After that, the quest appeared on my pip boy. --Alfwyn (talk) 03:17, November 20, 2015 (UTC)

after the quest is finished, kent is talking about upgrading shroud armor when talked in his usual room. but saying something like "come after re-launch the radio" i didn't wanted to update the page until see if it really happens. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.33.235.173 (talkcontribs). Immediate failure of "Save Kent"

Saving Kent option immediately failed on entering the building. There also was one hostile robot nurse later. It was my first time visiting the location so if there were nurses normally, they would still be there, possibly causing this part of the quest to fail. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.113.23.24 (talkcontribs). If you were in a suit of power armor, they immediately kill Kent. I think this is a bug, but the page seems to think it's intended. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.130.200.221 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!
This is not true. If they immediately kill him when you are in Power Armor, it is an uncommon bug, because I reloaded a save numerous times and they didn't do anything unless I took Berry Mentats. I just conformed it's an instant fail on the "Save Kent" optional quest by going inside Milton Hospital with power armor on with XBox One. It might not be universal, but it definitely happened. It was tested by saving just before going into the hospital wearing power armor; stepping in and seeing the optional quest failed; then going back to the prior save, stepping out of the armor, and going into the hospital. --Sable twilight (talk) 05:36, December 2, 2015 (UTC)
Quest instant fail because of the Targeting HUD mod on the power armor helmet. Sometimes the Tesla Coils mod on the power armor torso will do this too. You can confirm this by entering the quest area with and without power armor w/ these two mods in the following quests: "Save Kent" optional quest instant fail when you enter the hospital wearing Targeting HUD power helmet. During the quest Human Error, wearing Tesla Coils power torso will turns NPC hostile in Covenant when you enter the house w/ the public terminal, and wearing Targeting HUD power helmet will instantly turn the guards hostile once you enter the compound. During Duty or Dishonor, wearing Targeting HUD power helmet when entering Boston Airport Ruins will instantly turn Clarke hostile. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.207.136.106 (talkcontribs). @Sable Twilight I can confirm that that is not the case on PS4. At least not normally. I entered the hospital with power armor and everything. It's either something to do with the Xbox One or there are some logic gates that got triggered elsewhere. Put simply, weird things can happen in video games if you do even the most mundane things in the right order. --- Kilel
Not sure what to make all of these, but I entered without power armor and experienced the instant kill bug. I had to reload a save outside and re-clear to be able to save Kent. No buffs or anything of the sort except for the molerat sickness. 76.181.65.205 09:01, December 17, 2015 (UTC)
For the sake of troubleshooting, what did you have equipped? Specifically, were you wearing the Silver Shroud outfit? I don't know if it's necessary, but if anything would be the issue, that seems most likely. --Xernoc (talk) 09:07, December 17, 2015 (UTC)

Kills by Misterious Stranger

When the target was AJ the killing blows was given by the misterious stranger, but AJ didn't die, just went unconscious and then re-started to attack. This happened twice (I got two misterious strangers in a row with him). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.141.238.122 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Bug verification

How do verifications work? sorry for spamming here, will read the guidelines soon. been stalking here since fallout 3.

I can confirm the "Kill Northy" has been an issue with some computers, where loading Northy crashes the game. [verification needed]

happened to me as well. any workaround? Edit: The beta patch from 23.11.15 solves the problem —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.208.218.10 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

To avoid saving kent bug

The only non-cheating way to avoid immediate failure on saving kent is to clear the building before this quest reached the final stage. Tested myself, works for me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.151.174.83 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

I had success with saving Kent without using any drugs or anything just by simply using a Chameleon armor piece which made me hidden while crouched in front of them and was able to just shoot everyone outside of VATS without getting a response from anyone because the Chameleon kept me hidden. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.133.159.79 (talkcontribs). Fusion cores

The contents of the ammo cans mentioned under option 4 must be randomized, my game had .45 and shotgun shells in them, no fusion cores. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.117.217.160 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Help saving Kent

Regarding saving Kent, I found that killing the extra guards in stealth, followed by moving forward and to the left to trigger Sinjin's "You aren't walking away from this!" reaction to trigger fighting caused Avery to stop targeting Kent and only target the Sole Survivor. Equipping a kneecapper gun to quickly cripple Sinjin's legs caused him to be unable to hurt Kent but not stop targeting him, allowing the player to gun down Avery and then kill Sinjin with no threat.
