==Uncle Ken dies instantly - quest fails==
With a level 62 character about 10 seconds after activating the workshop five high level trappers spawn inside the perimeter a few feet from the workshop. Uncle Ken never lasts more than a few seconds. Replaying this about 10 times I finally managed to have him survive by entering the visitor center, using the console to spawn 4 missile turrets on the peak of the roof, 4 heavy machine gun turrets on the porch and generators to supply them. Then the PC armed with a missile launcher and a companion with a very high level machine gun protected Ken. Even with this cheat it took 3 tries.

Quest progressed during settlement attack

So, the oddest thing just happened to me. I was saving this quest for later completion, and it was quite the surprise when after I just defended a Commonwealth settlement, "Talk to Uncle Ken" was checked as completed. This caused me to rush all the way over there while I was in the middle of something. What I'm wondering is this: Is it possible that while this quest is still active, that a random settlement attack will choose this settlement as one and force the quest to progress? It's fun to think about these little bugs. Thieverpedia (talk) 14:06, February 13, 2017 (UTC)

Two settlers assigned whether Uncle Ken is left or sent to the Last Plank

Currently the text includes If the player character didn't ask Uncle Ken to leave, he will remain in the settlement and Mitch will send two additional settlers there. However, even if Uncle Ken is persuaded to return to the Last Plank and not count as a settler; on completion of the quest, Mitch will send two settlers regardless. Suggest the text is revised to reflect this. Lunamoonraker (talk) 04:07, April 20, 2017 (UTC)

Uncle Ken dies instantly - quest fails

With a level 62 character about 10 seconds after activating the workshop five high level trappers spawn inside the perimeter a few feet from the workshop. Uncle Ken never lasts more than a few seconds. Replaying this about 10 times I finally managed to have him survive by entering the visitor center, using the console to spawn 4 missile turrets on the peak of the roof, 4 heavy machine gun turrets on the porch and generators to supply them. Then the PC armed with a missile launcher and a companion with a very high level machine gun protected Ken. Even with this cheat it took 3 tries.
