Balance is killing me Edit

I don't know if it's the same out there, but this weapon in particular is making my brain hurt. So far, I'm noticing that that everything in this DLC is insanely hard: everything has a kajillion hit-points and does a bajillion damage, so I can barely keep a hat intact, let alone my health. That said, every time I panic and chem up, I crit with this thing and whatever I'm fighting goes up in a massive inferno. Amusing? Yes. Consistent? No. (18:53, July 21, 2011 (UTC))

As noted on the Robo-scorpion talk page, the X-42 Giant Robo-Scorpion can go down in a single sneak-crit from this gun, despite X-42 having the most health of any enemy in the game. Definitely agree that this gun basically breaks the game. --IsaacSin 22:15, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
On page it say fire affect non player characters but my character cached fire after sneak attack on boatfly, its a minor demage blocked by armor. But instant kill realy have a hit on game becouse it hapen to me on Legendary Boatfly. Tho Mysterious Stranger perk do same thing so i wot say one effect game mor then other.

This thing can set fire to a whole crowd of lobotmites in a single critical, well it did for me but your mileage may vary [1] based on your luck score (Troper of the Wastelands 04:47, August 7, 2011 (UTC))

This weapon will one-shot Primm Slim as well. Just how much damage does the incendiary effect do? What an amazing development this is. 02:55, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

Pyromaniac Perk Edit

According to the script NVDLC03MQ00SCRIPT, this weapon is affected by the Pyromaniac perk, the Professional perk, and it counts as an Improved Holdout weapon.

So basically Pew Pew + Laser Commander has been superceded by the Sonic Emitter - Tarantula + Pyromaniac as the high powered hold-out weapon that uses small energy cells? Dr. Lobotomy 20:14, August 8, 2011 (UTC)

Ridiculously strong but can't understand the autokill effect. Autokills require a critical hit but not all critical hits result in autokills. It almost seems like it runs a crit hit check on the crit hit check, or some such sht.--Postapocalypto 17:25, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

Crits not igniting Edit

I will see smoke rising off of people but either in a moment they burst into flame or much more often they just continue to smolder. very frustrating LouisianaBob 23:39, September 15, 2011 (UTC)
