Pump-action shotgun[]

they should make a pump-action shotgun

Pump-action, break-action are both crap in my opinion. Also, is this the gun we're talking about?

That's the Caravan shotgun. Nitty Tok. 17:18, June 12, 2010 (UTC)

I think I've finally got this all cleared up. I just added the new image, which I originally thought was the trail carbine, but then someone thought it was the caravan gun. Anyway, I'm just about positive that this is the real shotgun. It matches the description almost perfectly. Deus Gladiorum 00:39, June 14, 2010 (UTC)

That linked shotgun is lever action, not single shot. And yes, that picture is the Caravan shotgun which is a 2 shot, break open, over under, double barrel.Billytheboy 01:13, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

Damage[]

Is the damage recorded in the article taken from the game data? As I've got a max-condition single shotgun with a Damage of 5.4x7, significantly higher than that of the article. No damage increasing perks, and a Guns of 50. Ps3, so I can't check the values for myself. Overall DPS of 16, but I did take the Trigger Discipline trait, so lower firing speed.

EDIT: Value in article has been changed to something a lot more sensible. - [User:Zakrael|Zakrael]] 23:01, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

Trudy/Goodsprings Single Shotgun Bugged?[]

Has anyone else found it impossible to sell the shotgun found it Trudy's house? I'm unable to sell it to Chet at the General Store as it doesn't appear in my inventory when trading with him (PS3). Can anyone else comfirm? Atomotron 15:01, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

Confirmed on the PS3. Weird. Is it because it was classified as stolen? Hmm. Moose Goggles 21:43, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

I'm guessing it's because the shotgun is classified as owned by Goodsprings and you can't sell people's stuff back to them.--115.70.63.145 07:07, January 11, 2011 (UTC)

Model?[]

Just wonderin what gun this is based off of? --.22-Shooter 22:34, June 29, 2012 (UTC)

It appears to be closest to a typical H&R break action single shot with a case hardened frame. The Topper 88, for example.

-(Answer) Sorry to post the answer over four years later, but it's based off of the New England Pardner. See [1]

Reload Speed[]

The speed of reload seems to unaffected by agility and faster reload perk. That is real sad. Shotgun's effectiveness in mid/late game is very limited due to this. Can it be a bug? --Valera1390 (talk) 19:12, December 16, 2012 (UTC)
