The comment in the "notes" section, about the Star of David ... that might be a Sherrif's Badge. --PaxArcana 00:43, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

It's wear and tear on the robot. The robot is not a Jew. Nitty Tok. 00:45, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

That made me Laugh, Nitty.Pittsburgh Phil 00:46, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

That's a REALLY good idea!!!! It would explain why it's the one burying the body(or digging it up). I have no idea how I didn't think of that, probably because I have a bit of a head cold...

Sheriffs badge sounds more probable if you look at the face displayed on the tv-screen. Maybe they display their loaded personalities on those screens - in this case, a sheriff or something. Kamuikaze 01:01, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

That is what I thought of when I first saw it.Pittsburgh Phil 02:06, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

Also, the robot may be a mining bot, he seems to be picking the rocks out of the dirt.Pittsburgh Phil 02:21, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

But we witnessed that his claws are certainly not made for smaller rocks. Kamuikaze 02:50, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

Did the Robot remind anyone of Wall-e? Kevinsux909 10:34, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

Yes he did, actually. Kamuikaze 16:57, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

Is it spelt Sekuritron or Securitron? There seems to be some confusion on the page about that, or did I miss something? Oh no he didnt.png Mr Zurkon 14:04, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Vegas Vic?

Who added that?Pittsburgh Phil 05:30, February 6, 2010 (UTC)

I did. See: wikipedia:Vegas Vic. Ausir(talk) 05:35, February 6, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, cool, I knew that image looked familiar.Pittsburgh Phil 05:43, February 6, 2010 (UTC)

Victor

The Robot's name is Victor and it belongs to physician and possible former Vault dweller named Mitchell. The person it's digging up in the teaser is the game's protagonist, a courier who was shot and left for dead.

You just referenced another game! COPYRIGHT!!--FawkesGamer360 04:15, February 18, 2010 (UTC)

Are we sure of the selling because in the E3 preview video at 0:58 the names listed as securitron, with a C not a K.

It's definitive "Securitron" with C. Also it seems like there is more than one version of it, as one Securitron at the Vegas Strip is marked with "Mk.l". See here. --Mr.Lexx(talk) 11:22, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
The video that had Sawyer playing had the name with a 'k', not a 'c'. Nitty Tok. 14:45, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
Then it most likely has been changed by now. :> --Mr.Lexx(talk) 14:56, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

In this video it's Securitron, which makes more sense anyways. Perhaps Sekuritron was a mistake.--Verno 19:34, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Capatilization

Is the word securitron always capatilized? The Yoshiman 97 19:56, June 18, 2010 (UTC)

Well how it appears in game won't be a factor once the new policy goes into effect.
But isn't Securitron a proper noun? How is this different from Nuka-Cola Quantum? JonCollins 19:52, November 8, 2010 (UTC)
As a name of a product model, I'd say it's a proper noun. Ausir(talk) 02:53, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

ign gameplay vid confirms that the left arm shoots out grenades, explaining the hole

Securitron Mark II Operating System

I've updated the features unlocked by the Mk II OS, as narrated by Mr. House in his basement with the two Securitrons firing at targets. --Ryan-McCulloch 16:25, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Locations outside the Strip?

Where can these be found outside of the Strip? I haven't come across any yet.--86.42.244.84 17:32, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

Temporary Companion?

Can you get a Securitron as a temporary companion? It says you can on the wiki, but I can't find conformation.

Yes At The final battle of hoover dam if you side with yes man or house a securitron will accompany you as a temporary companion. --Ullyses = Epic 13:27, August 5, 2011 (UTC)

H&H Tool Company

If the Securitrons were manufactured by RobCo, why do they have a H&H Tool Company tag on them? --RickRoller 07:28, November 2, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe because H&H Tools was one of House's factories and produced Securitrons in addition to RobCo? Or the design came from RobCo, but the H&H do the manufacturing? Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 16:55, November 2, 2010 (UTC)
I am wondering this myself. Where in the game does it even say they were manufactured by RobCo? Or that PDQ-88b securitron is the same as RobCo security model 2060-B? Maybe H&H did the hardware, and RobCo did the software? JonCollins 01:52, November 8, 2010 (UTC)
Jane says she is a "RobCo PDQ-88b Mk I Securitron". Where is "RobCo security model 2060-B" mentioned? JonCollins 05:37, November 8, 2010 (UTC)
Actually, Victor says he's a 2060-B model, not a PDQ-88. Nitty Tok. 04:19, January 4, 2011 (UTC)

Flamer vs. Securitron

I have 56/49 flamer fuel. I'm with the NCR. And I'm in House's penthouse wondering: Should I shoot?(I have a Lucky 38 VIP card and doing the mission For the Republic part 2 where you "remove House as a threat to the NCR".)

Unless they are already hostile, I recommend NOT pulling the trigger

Can you insert chip and get them to help other faction

If i insert the chip after klling Mr. House will they be my robots without NCR getting pissed

Nope. You can give the Platinum Chip to Yes Man, giving you (indirect) control of the Securitrons, but the NCR and Legion will be angry, because you now constitute a serious threat to their occupation schemes. I would love to say you're right, but alas.--I7Grendel 18:12, October 17, 2011 (UTC)

Actually, if playing the PC version, you can use conmsole commands to use the securitrons in battle for the NCR, or Ceaser's Legion. But you can't make them your's.

Pre-War, Post-War Construction & Attrition

The robot design is "Pre-War". But is House still producing them in the Post-War era? If not, won't they eventually get wiped out by attrition? Is there any idea as to their overall numbers or where they get spare parts/maintenance?

The securitrons are high in number, but NCR nor anyone else wouldn't bother attacking the securitrons before everything is said and done at Hoover Dam. As for if they are still being manufatured, Mr. House might have a factory in the Lucky 38.

reference

in the album obselote by fear factor, the main antagonists in the album is a police-kind of robot force with monitors ewerywhere. probable reference. look it up on wikipedia.

I've mentioned that in the Fallout: New Vegas cultural references Page but they removed it --DannyK92 15:56, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

bug or glich

i am playing in the unpachet version of fallout new vegas gen i atack the robots they throw me granades and they havent ben ubgratet to the mark II sistem sorry for my english is not my natal lenguage atila12346

Hey, it's okay dude. English is as hard for the Chinese as Mandarin Chinese is for us; not that your Chinese....maybe you are? Well anyway,it isn't a bug or glitch. It happens to be that the Securitrons shoot grenades in Mark I, and shoot muddles and Gatling lasers in Mark II. You upgrade them when you work for Mr.House or Yes Man. Of course I work for NCR, so those rolling tin cans can eat my lead and spit my bullets.....then go dump a Brick or something. Yeah...bad humor. LukaSlayer13 UESP

Follow me on UESP not on The Vault.

its totally a oversight maybe not a bug i personally attempted to fix it with a mod i made myself with little success

Wheel is the weakness?

What? User:Great_MaraUser talk:Great_Mara 09:32, July 13, 2011 (UTC)

I suppose you could add a verify tag on it. I've never heard of it myself. Yes Man default 09:33, July 13, 2011 (UTC)

Who made them first?

The wiki page implies that RobCo was the first to make Securitrons, and that Big MT tried to improve them, but I doubt that. I think Big MT was first, because of Dr. 0 impersonating Mr. House by saying (something like): "we can make Securitrons better than any of those fools at Big MT can, and they'll last a thousand years." I find this implying that Big MT was the first to make them, after which House thought he could improve on them. This also explains why the Big MT versions have had 6 OS versions, while the RobCo version only has 2 OS versions.--I7Grendel 18:21, October 17, 2011 (UTC)

Securitrons raze Goodsprings

what console commands do I use to spawn Mark 1 securitrons in Goodsprings, and then turn Goodsprings hostile to The strip and the Strip hostil to goodsprings? That way the securitrons will raze the town, leaving good loot and lots of carnage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arnim Zola Reference

Noticed there's a note that Securitrons bear resemblance to some comic-book villain named Arnim Zola. Out of curiosity, I Googled this fellow...
Doesn't look anything like a Securitron, other than the fact that he has a monitor on his chest. Here, take a look yourself. If we're claiming that Securitrons look like Arnim Zola, then we might as well say that Super Mutants are based off the Incredible Hulk. Anyway, before I remove it, just wanted to know if there was any actual connection between the two, or if it was a passing edit that was never rectified. Yes Man defaultUser Avatar talk 06:28, July 14, 2012 (UTC)

Mk 1 securitron

I have never seen a mk 1 securitron use its gatling laser until after the upgrade but it says they can use those at mk 1. Also it says that securitrons get grenade launchers until mk 2 but they were happt to spam me with grenades at mk 1. Should it be edited?

I second this. I have also seen them using grenade launchers instead of the gatling lasers at MK I. IAMELIPHAS (talk) 14:28, October 14, 2013 (UTC)

Hostile for no reason?

So I exit The Tops to go to Lucky 38, but all the Securitrons turned hostile for no reason. Now all of them are dead and there is no police force on the Strip. Is it some sort of bug? No one else was hostile.

Wheels?

So in reality why don't people just push the robots to there sides because if you had on leg that couldn't bend and arms that are made of metal bendy straw how would you get up.. oh and you torso is very big and heavy and your spine doesn't bend and your face is a huge target to one of your many weak spots because a tv for a face to protect your brain is a bad idea Id rather have a thick skull than a glass tv. I mean if you just look at how badly they are made. In real life if you a slightly good shot and probably everyone who has survived a "Apocalypse" has to or they are dead you could kill 100 of them with no sweet. Mr houses army is the worst army ever! The place that they make more robots is under a army of replica romans who wouldn't use such tech. so That means that mrs house has the worst cards of them. He is truly powerless in more that one way because if the ncr just stop supplying his tower with power he would just flat out die of old age like he was supposed to. --Zombo-tech (talk) 04:38, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

Caps?

Should securitron be capitalized in articles? Even in this article, it is all over the place, with the term PDQ-88b securitron being used in both capped and uncapped form. I think the uncapped version is better, but we should have some people look into this. Stars and Stripes (talk) 16:21, July 26, 2013 (UTC)

Don't use 9mm smg

It's wrong, they do. Just saw a securitron mrk II in freeside shooting bullets to a squatter. Perhaps the target must be near enough to force the securitron not to use the granade launcher, I don't know, but they do use 9mm smgs. The same securitrons used the granade lauchers before, so I'm sure they are registered as upgraded.--Damx (talk) 20:21, November 28, 2014 (UTC)

That's a scripted event, not normal behavior. Great Mara (talk) 20:45, November 28, 2014 (UTC)
I saw the first securitron using the laser, a few pops that were granades, then some shy 9mms killing of the last squatter, who was near the partner of the securitron which use the smg. If he was nearer the shooting securitron, I would have thought the weapon is determined by range, but perhaps they stop using granades to avoid lethal friendly fire (both securitrons near the gate were low on hps), although it seems improbable that they implemented such "intelligence". There weren't only squatters I must say, I lured some thugs there before to see if the securitrons can fight outside the squatters events, and since then the thugs always run or spawn there. Anyway, the article says they don't use it outside the demonstration right? Shouldn't it be changed in "outside scripted events"?--Damx (talk) 21:15, December 5, 2014 (UTC)

Usage outside of Mr House

Is there any canon evidence of Securitrons being used by anyone other than Mr House and the Big MT? Were they, by any chance, available to Vault-Tec? - ZuTheSkunk (talk) 11:43, September 5, 2015 (UTC)

Thresher Clawer in Wasteland 2

I wonder if the look of Thresher Clawers in Wasteland 2 has anything to do with the securitons or if they simply both took inspiration of the wacky look of old robots. In-game model that is, not the artwork.Roger555 (talk) 15:56, February 11, 2020 (UTC)
