This creature may have been based on the Mothman Cryptid, as it matches most descriptions of that Cryptid. Mithril (talk) 19:12, June 11, 2018 (UTC)

Possible Scorchbeast origin and size[]

I'd say there's a strong possibility that the Scorchbeasts originate from bats, as they resemble them a lot. That would also provide a possible explanation for their "supersonic" attack, (shown in the E3 presentation) which may have evolved from the sonar that is used by bats for echolocation. As of yet, the Scorchbeast's size is pretty difficult to estimate, but it's safe to say that it has a wingspan that is at least 5 times longer than the player's height. Pretty big.
