This talk page is only for discussing improvements to the page "Sarah Lyons."

Can somebody please explain to me why she appeared on the road from Vault 101 down to Springvale? She was walking south right past the mailbox with Pugilism Illustrated in it. This was while my objective was to find a way into Vault 87. 23:14, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

  • What version of the game is it? -- 23:56, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

I never encountered her team on my first playthrough. When I arrived in Chevy Chase, I fought all of the Super Mutants off by myself. Is this a glitch or does she not always appear? 12:42, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

  • If you skip Following in his footsteps then the pride isn't at chevy chase and you have to clear the whole section without help till you get to GNR. I think it's best to get to GNR before skipping ahead casue then you can get more power armor to sell/trade to the outcasts Jordanish 14:15, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

Broken steelEdit

What have happend to Sarah in the Broken steel. Elder Lyons is saying that Sarah is sick. Can someone explain this to me whit more details?

  • Well, she was obviously knocked out when the radiation flooded the room. I still don't know why she didn't wake up before me, considering the fact that I was exposed to more radiation than she was. -- 23:55, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

  • She also looks a bit pale and diffrent in broken steel Werewolfhell 15:41, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

    • Sarah got KOed by the rads from project Purity, You being the badass that you are, woke up before she did. --SPOILER:: At the end of Broken steel, you will meet Sarah once again, albeit looking like a vampire victim. No seriously, her face is as white as a ghost and she's got that "I havent slept for weeks" look under her eyes.... -Some Guy
  • Provided that she doesn't activate the purifier then she can be found in a coma in the "medical wing" of the citadeal after Take it back! but she wakes up after who dares wins. After that she just bums about the Den and the courtyard.

She's hot Edit

When I first met her, my little brother said "She's pretty!" and then I said "What? She's not all that. She's... omg she is hot!"

Goolge Rule 34 mate

So youll be pissed that i spawned my minions to kill her? Butter 14:07, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
I may not want to admit it but I was totally hoping for a romance sub-plot with an incredibly graphic love scene. . . Bethesda needs to step it up! -TheDudeMarky
Do not speak of my superiors like that. She would not be pleased. Knight Captain Todlich 08:31, June 10, 2010 (UTC)
Hahaha, apologies Sir Knight. - TheDudeMarky
I wish there was a mod that made her as a follower

Voice ActorEdit

Did the voice actor for Sarah Lyons change in Broken Steel from her VA in vanilla? It sure seemed like it. Anyone else notice a difference, or is it just me? -- Jakkhali 17:37, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Limp? Edit

For some reason, she walks with a slight limp whenever I play. Is it a bug, is it intentional, or did she get a crippled leg in a fight or something? Just curious. (:

V.A.T.S. Target her and find out.

I've experienced this twice. First time it was Tristan with a limp and the second time it was half of the lyons pride. What happens is if they get hit when they’re quest-essential; e.g. take it back/death from above when there’re explosions left right and centre they may get hit and knocked out or get crippled. If you finish the quest while they’re still crippled (they heal if they get knocked out) then they stay crippled indefinitely. I tested this with Tristan by shooting him repeatedly and eventually crippling his leg. When he got knocked out he was healed but when the quest ended with his legs snapped like chicken bones he was stuck like that. Probably that she get shot by the motar cannon at project purity or hit by the gatiling laser in the control room.Jordanish 14:32, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

Discrepancy Edit

The article says she was 7-months old when the trip to the CW started, but the timeline says it was 7-years. Someone fix that, ok? Thanks. JerichoRCDF 22:46, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing it, to whoever fixed it. Sorry if I sounded snobby. JerichoRCDF 21:55, December 20, 2009 (UTC)

No Problem Sir Snob. :) --Kingclyde 22:49, December 20, 2009 (UTC)

leadership Edit

who is 2nd in command of the capital wasteland brotherhood of steel? sarah or rothchild? Chiefsean16 18:42, April 3, 2010 (UTC)

I belive sarah, mainly due to the fact that she is a paladin, who are usually the leader, as opposed to rothchild. He's more like a advisor than a vice-president--Icommandoxx 21:33, February 6, 2011 (UTC)icommandoxx

Exact Words?Edit

Just what are the exact words she says to TLW at the end of Broken Steel in regards to how she feels about them? It's been a while since I did that mission and I've seen it reported as both wanting to get to know TLW and talking about "if things were different". Skyrocket 16:28, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Late response, but it's both, yeah. --The Leaping Eagle 20:12, May 23, 2012 (UTC)

Not a natural Blonde Edit

Her much darker eyebrows give it away. -- 13:08, March 31, 2011 (UTC)

she really has romantic feelings for the LW?Edit

Does she really does? Jackalex13 11:14, June 14, 2012 (UTC)Jackalex13

Well, no, considering the LW can be female and it's assumed (though not specified) that Sarah Lyons is heterosexual. Yes Man defaultUser Avatar talk 11:52, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
well, yes, at least its implied, if your character is a male.
If your character is male, yes, she loves you, though can't express it openly. If your character is female, she loves you as BFF.

This fragment discussion was move from here

This leads to a separate, but still interesting question... who should be considered an antagonist in Broken Steel? And it got me to thinking... should the PC decide to destroy the Citadel, then they are pitted against Lyons after landing at the now-destroyed waypoint. Should Lyons be considered an antagonist by technicality? She most certainly is unique, and would be the leader of the CWBoS after her father's death. 01:33, May 19, 2015 (UTC)

And as an extra thought... Fallout 3 is clearly biased towards the CWBoS as the "Good Guys." Should the LW also be considered an antagonist, by technicality, since the option is there to destroy the "Good Guys?" 01:34, May 19, 2015 (UTC)
The Lone Wanderer can never be the antagonist, as Fallout 3 is their story. At worst, he/she could be a villain protagonist. The Brotherhood is debatable but I would personally lean no since they support you until the potential double cross and that's the end of the story. Paladin117>>iff bored; 03:44, May 20, 2015 (UTC)
It would be wrong to assume that all antagonists are not good guys. Especially in a setting that is supposed to be morally grey. An antagonist, by definition, is simply a person that stands in opposition towards another person. 05:15, May 20, 2015 (UTC)
I didn't say antagonists are good or bad. I just said that since Fallout 3 follows the Lone Wanderer, it is (s)he and their allies that are the protagonists and thei opposition that's the antagonists. If the story followed Autumn instead, it would be the other way around. Paladin117>>iff bored; 05:28, May 20, 2015 (UTC)
That does not make any sense. Just because someone originally had good interactions with a person and/or group/faction, does not mean that they are permanently immune from being labeled as antagonists should they later become hostile towards them.
I mean no disrespect by this observation... but I am not sure that you understand what an antagonist is, by actual definition - not by a simple familiarity with how linear-storied games typically portray antagonists. A cat, scratching my foot, could, by definition, be classified as an antagonist should the cat have done it on purpose. It seems lazy to dismiss a clear antagonistic action against the PC, simply because they are portrayed as the "Good guys," or because they used to work with the PC. That is simply not how the term works. 05:38, May 20, 2015 (UTC)
No, but this is a video game. Almost anyone can potentially be an antagonist. Like Lesko. While evil people like Burke don't ever have to be. Therefore I think the antagonist tag should be saved for traditional bosses/opposition. Vegnas (talk) 08:43, August 8, 2015 (UTC)

Sarah's canon survival Edit

So now that Fallout 4 is out, we know that canonically Sarah Lyons survived the events of Fallout 3 and Broken Steel. The Lone Wanderer (or one of the followers) must have canonically activated the purifier and not her, bringing clean water to the Capital Wasteland. Then afterwards, the Mobile Base Crawler at Adams Air Force Base must have been canonically destroyed and not the Citadel. Sometime later, her father, Owyn Lyons, dies of natural causes and she takes up the role of Elder for the Capital Chapter of the Brotherhood. Sadly, it doesn't last long because she dies in combat a short time after her promotion, so we don't get to see her anyway. Should we not alter the page then to reflect what is canon and what isn't? 03:00, January 24, 2016 (UTC)
