Which guns EXACTLY does this perk affect?[]

It says "non-automatic rifles", so what about semi-auto rifles, like the laser rifle? If I put a beam splitter on my laser rifle, making it more like a shotgun, does this perk affect it? Is there any way to see this stuff more clearly in-game? --96.28.183.138 01:11, November 12, 2015 (UTC)

  • Semi-automatic counts as non-automatic. If the weapon counts as a rifle and you have to pull the trigger for each shot, the perk applies. 217.122.94.234 13:20, December 8, 2015 (UTC)

== Given Your explanation == 217.122.94.234 wouldn't this perk also then cover SHOTGUNS? THANKS For the info btw. Andy Rampage (talk) 20:51, December 11, 2015 (UTC)

Yes, this perk affects rifles, shotguns and non-pistol energy weapons as long as they are not automatic, i.e only fire once per mouse click. This makes rifles easily the most flexible weapon category since you have good options for everything from close to extreme range. -Doniazade (talk) 12:10, December 22, 2015 (UTC)

Summary of changes[]

I've added numerical data for Gunslinger and Commando, and then came to do that for this page too, but it already had them. However, the numbers were wrong, so I've corrected them. GetRandomPercent returns an integer value from 0 to 99, so the chances are not 5 and 7%, they are 6 and 8%.
I've also moved the cumbersome and tedious damage formulas to the bottom of the page. Readers who want it will still have it, but most people just want the basic perk information up front. --SushiSquid (talk) 22:26, December 17, 2015 (UTC)

Just double checking, does this perk affect my sniper rifles? They're not on the list, so I figure I'd ask before investing perks in it.

Yes, as long as they only fire once per pull of the trigger and have rifle stocks not pistol grips.--68.62.55.57 05:38, September 15, 2016 (UTC)
