After Raul Tejada has been upgraded to wear this outfit, is it possible to obtain this outfit for The Courier to wear? And since Rauls Shack has young brahmin outside, and a herd of Bighorner nearby, It would be a perfect combination to turn The Courier into a REAL, western style gunslinging rancher. Anyone know if this is possible? If not, Then i'll just combine the NCR Ranger Combat Armour, with either an Old Cowboy hat, a Sheriff's Hat or a Brown Ranger Hat, along with either Lucky, or a Ranger Sequoia, but personally i prefer the initial plan.

In fact I might be answering to an one year old post right now. In regards to your question, I think this is not obtainable for the player by regular means. If you have the PC version, it might be possible to obtain in through console commands, but it is also likely that this outfit is actually part of Raul's 3D model; obtaining it would be like obtaining a mole rat disguise if that were the case.--DrMGinius 00:57, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

getting outfit[]
so i talked to all 3 npcs and listened to his long ass dialogue, but he didn't upgrade to vaquero. but i got him to wear the armor by clicking on him in the console and using giveitem 0014b053 1. however it did not include his hat. I think the hat has a separate base id, i'll look in the GECK. As for wearing the outfit as the pc the only way i know of would be through a plugin, since the in-game item is invisible in your inventory. 142.167.170.91 02:14, November 8, 2010 (UTC)
Downgrade?[]
Assuming the DT info on this entry is accurate, and this armor has the same low DT/HP as his original suit, minus the repair bonus (though that may be irrelevant), it's a pretty craptastic upgrade...aside from the humor value of its appearance (which got old fast for me). To me this says he should be given combat or vault guard armor plus a helmet (Ranger helmet from the Ranger safe house has good DT and also conceals his cadaverous appearance, in case you think it's grody to look at constantly.)
