If you kill everyone on The Prydwen (and possibly the ariport below it) before the meeting, you can not trigger the meeting and will get stuck and be unable to progress the institute quest line.
Use setstage inst305 200 to skip the meeting.
Actually if you kill even one main character the quest won't start. I sniped Dr Li and didn't even get noticed and that alone won't allow me to start the quest.
Quest Stages Edit
I'm on this quest now and currently have to completely the step "Record the Speech". I don't see that here and am wondering if this is the same quest.
Develop Synth or weaponEdit
Since the main page doesn't have any information about what happens when you decide to develop the synths or the weapons, i thought it would be a great idea to make a topic about finding this out.
I myself choose to develop the weapons.
As i continued playing with the institute, i got equipped with the Institute beacon, wich i thought was made possible because i choose to develop weapons.
However, i could be completely wrong here. Maybe you get that beacon no matter what.
Did anyone decide to develop the synths and still get that beacon? Because if yes, then we still have to find out what the decision changes in the story, or if it doesn't change anything at all.

Not forced to kill Desdemona? Edit

Institute Infinite Edit
Does choosing the bird or the ca .. um .. I mean, choosing synth or weapons production have any consequences at all? The page simply says there's no effect on endings or faction stance, but what if choosing weapons production resulted in better Institute Pistol/Rifles being available at merchants?
