Accent[]

Her accent is South African, yet she is Hispanic? UraniYum 14:53, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

Yep. Do you have some sort of a problem with this? --Kris User Hola 15:17, October 26, 2010 (UTC)
I can't stand those South-African Hispanic commies!
Nah, not particularly. UraniYum 15:00, October 27, 2010 (UTC)
Speaking as an Aussie, I'd say she sounds more like a Kiwi (New Zealander), especially when listening to the vowel-shifts ("I" for "E" and what have you). In fact, I'm almost certain I've heard her voice in locally-produced TV shows. - Brian D.123.2.42.39 23:23, October 27, 2010 (UTC)
Coming from one, I agree that the accent is definitely not Australian. I'd go Kiwi first, Afrikaans second, and updated the page accordingly--Willooi 00:54, October 29, 2010 (UTC)
Also speaking as an Aussie, it's definitely a Kiwi accent. --Webley 08:16, October 29, 2010 (UTC)
Speaking as someone who can type 'zoe bell' into a search engine (ok, I'm an Aussie as well), this is definitely an UnZud accent. Strewth, how hard is it to tell the difference between a Sith Africaan and Kiwi? --Johnny Trash (Talk) 08:35, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

A sith african is one of the baddest villians ever, a kiwi is a small testicle shaped fruit. --Gwyllgi 02:16, October 8, 2011 (UTC)

Zoe Bell[]

She rocked so hard in Death Proof and as Uma's stunt double in Kill Bill! De stijl 15:40, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Can't Confirm Bug Fix[]

The page claims the "Oh My Papa" Quest can still be completed diplomatically on the PC, even when Melissa has disappeared. This is incorrect. The Convince Melissa step still appears in the Quest list, and quest completion will not trigger even when Karl's Journal has been given to Papa Khan with Regis present. --http://brianranzoni.com 04:26, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

"Confirmed" The "Bug Fix" (Isn't One)[]

I'm posting to confirm the console-command "fix" for Melissa; when you start/complete "Dont Make a Begger out of me" then are stuck on "Oh My Papa" (as Melissa is not in the Quarry Junction).

console-command: placeatreticle 000e595c source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=lgE_S-1PtbA

The console commands listed on the page will bring her back to the Great Kahn Encampment, where the "Oh My Papa" dialog options are available. My PiP-Boy even updates to the "Find Regis evidence that Caeser will Eliminate the Great Kahns", however even when I grab Karl's Journal out of the LongHouse's guestroom, it doesn't seem like I can progress any futher. --Xeleema 14:40, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

London?[]

The UK page once stated that she was from London apparently. Any reason for this? Just that the user that did it doesn't seem like one to write baseless information. Wyrmalla 19:05, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

The user thought that her accent was a 'London accent', which has been disproven above. --Anon talk 19:10, December 4, 2010 (UTC)

I seriously doubt that seeing as her accent is glaringly not English, and the user is from England... Whatever, the edit's been undone since then. Wyrmalla 00:33, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

NZ accent[]

Hey, just throwing my hat into the ring as another person pointing out that it's and NZ accent. I'm from NZ, so I'm pretty good at picking it up, lol. I'm gonna go ahead and change it if no-one minds 60.234.236.221 14:35, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

As another New Zealander I'd have to agree with you, in addition the VO actress is a New Zealander.--Ciao Gamer 00:13, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

Killing her=Angry Chomps?[]

Would killing her make Chomps Lewis hostile?

Voice[]

This might sound a bit racist, believe me I'm not trying to be. But her voice over is a little awkward since she is the only, I repeat ONLY person with that accent in the entire Fallout Universe.

Everyone has an accent. The diverse range of US accents in the game is amazing. If you meant she is the only one with a foreign accent, that is also incorrect -- see below.

Except she isn't. If you're going off of real Fallout games, Loxley has a British accent and Gizmo talks like a stereotypical gangster, and they're both in Fallout 1. Fallout 3 has Moriarity who is Irish, and Dukov who is Russian. Loxley explains that his mom talked like him and he emulates her (plausible -- Fallout 1 is set 80 years after the Great War) and Gizmo is Gizmo. As for Moriarity and Dukov, like much of Fallout 3, they make no goddamn sense.

Wrong Armor[]

She's not wearing Great Khan armored leather shes wearing Great Khan soldier armor

No. 68.197.229.108

exept on the xbox goty edition she is

Last Name[]

We don't know her last name; it's never mentioned in-game. We know she's a Great Khan, though, which is why I think we should rename the page Melissa (Great Khan). 69.l25 (talk) 22:36, November 13, 2013 (UTC)

Mmm. We're absolutely sure she's never referred to as Lewis? Because if not, then I can understand why we'd rename the page from Lewis --> (Great Khans). In post-post apocalyptia, taking in orphans is pretty common-place. And just like Maggie from Fallout 3, we don't have Billy Creel's adopted daughter listed as Maggie Creel. ForGaroux Some Assembly Required! 23:28, November 13, 2013 (UTC)
As far as I know, there is no dialogue referring to her as Melissa Lewis. Even if there is, "because it's mentioned in dialogue" is not the reason why this page is named at this point. If someone can find a note, dialogue, etc. referring to her as "Melissa Lewis", then yes, we should keep the name, but so far, there is nothing. 69.l25 (talk) 00:18, November 14, 2013 (UTC)
Isn't she Chomps Lewis' daughter? If that's the case, and she's referred to as such, I think the last name stands due to convention. Maggie isn't named Maggie Creel because Billy doesn't consider her his daughter. He even states in dialogue 'Maggie's not my daughter'. If someone is referred to as the offspring of another individual, it is common for that someone to take a patronymic surname. FollowersApocalypseLogosectatorapocalypsis 00:30, November 14, 2013 (UTC)
The problem is, she's never referred to as Melissa Lewis; that's something we added in, not something the game did. Nothing and no one ever refer to her with the last name Lewis. It's entirely possible that she just dropped her last name because of this. After all, she did run off and join a raider gang. 69.l25 (talk) 00:56, November 14, 2013 (UTC)

( This is overscrutinizing in my opinion. She's Chomp's daughter, and not married, so it's without reasonable doubt Lewis is her last name. We can spend our time better than bickering over issues like this people. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:35, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

She's never referred to as "Melissa Lewis" by anyone other than us. It would be most proper to use the game's terminology on this subject to avoid any confusion or speculation. Don't tell people that this issue isn't worthy of discussion; it'll make it more difficult to reach a consensus. 69.l25 (talk) 21:17, November 15, 2013 (UTC)
