[mostly for fallout 3 but for all others too] This perk is just generally useful. Considering that to GET it you need a really high barter and on TOP of that it gives you a VERY substantial discount on everything you buy. It's a good perk if you've been investing in barter.-Accountless Avenger
100 Barter
Is it known whether or not this perk has any effect at all with a Barter Skill of 100? And is the effect immediately evident during the trade, or does it take effect after the items are purchased? DavidDavidson 03:42, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

On PC with 100 Barter and max stats, this perk lowers buying prices at all vendors except Rivet City (RC gives you base value for many items) by 0 to 25% depending on how high the item value is. Pointless perk!
They need to explain this perk better in the game, I was already at 100 barter when I took it, it was somewhere between level 25 and 29 and I had already taken all the decent perks so I figured what the hell, a 25% discount sounds good. What a complete waste of a perk choice! Absolutely pointless! Only take this perk if your barter is at the minimum of 60 and you don’t plan on taking it any higher!
