Doubts[]
I have read about some doubts, if they are really from BoS. Sentinel is not a known BoS rank, platoons were not present in so long known BoS organization. Sure is, that this is just military organized anti-mutant faction equipped with PA (eg. remnants of US Armed Forces). As far as I remember BoS wasn't armed with heavy energy weapons (accept king Artur's squad in F2). It is not Enclave of course, because this guys are planned to be hostile.--dotz 03:37, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Main Quest Controversy[]
Removed the following bit of text from the article:
At the climax of the game, the only true remaining members of the Lyon's Pride are Sarah Lyons herself (And the player character, depending on the player's choice).(WRONG at some point during the huge battle the surviving Lyon's Pride, other than Lyon herself, stop and head back in the direction of The Citadel only to stop in the middle of the road).
I haven't made it this far into the game yet so I can't vouch for which of the accounts is true, but clearly there is a disparity in opinion. Thus, I removed it until someone who is better qualified to edit the article can come along and help out. --Mokkan88 10:08, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
From what I remember, once you reach Jefferson Memorial only Sarah goes inside with the PC. Not sure what happens with the rest of the platoon but I assume they stay outside and keep the Enclave busy. Need to confirm. 3man 07:41, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- I can confirm that none of the Lyons's Pride have to die in the final assault. They may all survive the trip from the Citadel to the Jefferson Memorial. It seems like random chance determines which make it, though Sarah Lyons will definitely make it. She is also the only person to go into the memorial with you, the rest of the squad waits outside with Liberty Prime. Servius 19:33, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
Lyons' Pride article content[]
A section of The Brotherhood of Steel that helps you fight while reaching the GNR station (Galaxy News Radio). Although the player becomes a honourary member of Lyons Pride at the very end of the main quest, there isn't any related quests and it isn't really a 'faction'. An advert in The Citadel says that there is a place available in the Pride but if you can't shoot a target blindfolded at 150 yards don't bother trying out. They also can be found at the citadel. They are the best of the Brotherhood of Steel and are trained in all weapons. However, most of the time they will use heavy weapons like: the Flamer, Fat Boy, Missile Launcher, and sometimes even the Gatling Laser. This crack squad is led by Sarah Lyons, the daughter of Elder Lyons. She is the best of them all --dotz 18:27, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Unit designation and function[]
I altered reference to the Pride being a "squadron"; squadrons and platoons are different types of unit and not interchangeable. --Nick East 20:58, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- I think "squadron" and "platoon" also refer to different types of armed forces. At least in the US military, a squadron is the cavalry equivalent of an infantry battalion. So, in this case, squadron is doubly inappropriate as the Lyons' Pride is certainly more like infantry than cavalry (unless they have Vertibirds), and they're no where near the size of a battalion. A platoon is an infantry term, but a platoon is usually between 25-40 people. Personally, I think the term "squad" is most appropriate. Squad is an infantry term and they are typically between 8-12 people. I also think Sarah Lyons refers to the Lyons' Pride as a squad in dialogue. I can change the text within the article, but I don't know how to change the name of the page from "Lyons' Pride Platoon". Perhas it should just be changed to "Lyons' Pride" with no unit name. - I don't recall Lyon's Pride ever being referred to as a Platoon in the game, but I could be wrong. If it isn't, I think it should probably be removed from the title and either left off or replaced with whatever the proper in-game terminology is. Mr. Sully 03:03, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Where's the ' Go?[]
Just to clear this up, the ' always goes after the "s", as in Lyons', and never before it. This is because the squad is named for either Elder Lyons or Sarah Lyons. DEATH OF LYONS PRIDE[]
Are they all supposed to die? cuz as soon as I go across the bridge the only friendlys are Sara, Fawkes and LP. I thought they were essentials?
- I believe that they do survive the assault on the Purifier, and that they are essential. However, I will need to verify this and will re-edit this response momentarily. - When given better equipment (fully repaired hellfire armor and weapons) they survive pretty easily through the last fight. Interesting enough, with the Broken Steel expansion, sometime after they return back to the Citadel, all their armor reverts back to their default. I did this to get the Lyon's Pride Power Armor, and found I could steal them twice.
- I got them through the initial attack, but there is no mention here on the wiki that after you complete "Take It Back!" they walk back to the Citadel spaced out a great distance. If you head West or fast travel from the Citadel everything seems to be fine and they arrive at the citadel. However, if you head across the bridge going toward the Purifier, you will activate the cells while they are in that area...and often all but Gallows will be killed by the Overlord and Master supermutants on their path. If I raced forward to kill the overlord on the gangway saving Kodiak, the Masters at the burned out building would have killed Dusk - very frustrating. The only way I found was to wait for a several hours outside the citadel...so that they would have moved through the cells before you get there. I am sure others have run into this as well, and so could use a mention of it here.
Glade takes damage at The Citadel?[]
The main article states that if Lyons' Pride survives Take it Back! they stay at The Citadel the rest of the game. This does not appear to be true of Paladin Glade once the next quest begins. Glade is the heavy-weapons specialist. He's not supposed to participate in Death From Above as far as I know. But exactly wtf is he going out and doing that he shows up with so much physical damage? Glade had only 1 bar of health left the moment I accepted Death From Above and left the Citadel! This suggests that the Lyons' Pride may continue to sortie on various missions while the Lone Wanderer is doing the main quests. But where in the Wasteland could the Lyons members be going, anyway? -Theicla 20:03, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
Saving Private Ryan Referance?[]
Shouldn't the multiple references to SPR be noted? (I can't remember their names, so bear with me) Both the snipers have the same basic speech, "Put me and my rifle in any distance up to and including 1 mile of (Adolph Hitler/a Super Mutant), then, well, pack it in, boys, (war's/fight's) over." The betting pool on Gallow's name and what the Captain does back home, with both of them asking what the pool's up to, and the option to split it between (yourself/the new guy) and (Gallows/the Captain).
"The Den is where members of the Pride get some R&R. In addition to additional food stores, tables, and chairs, there are 4 cots in the back. Since the Pride has more than 4 members, and they don't seem to operate in shifts, it is likely that other bunk room, probably in A Ring, are also reserved for the Pride. B Ring holds the Barracks, which is likely where all non-Pride BoS soldiers sleep. "
If you blow up the Citadel at the end of Broken Steel, you can Access the Citadel armory you never saw or enter during the orginial Fallout 3 or Broken Steel... I think it is like in every Computergame: The accessable World shown to the Player, is not the whole world. You have more BoS members in the Citadel and Surrounding than Beds, right?^^
Reference to the Warhammer 40k Dark Angels Space Marines chapter[]
The Lyons Pride is most probably a reference to the Dark Angels from Warhammer 40K as some of them have the title "Knight", the Dark Angels Started as a KNIGHTLY order before The Emperor found their primarch and commander Lion El Johnson. Furthermore in the Space Wolf novel Sons Of Fenris a character named "Interrogator Chaplain Vargas"-(Paladin Vargas:Fallout 3) dispatches a kill team to apprehend a heretic and traitor, the kill team being named "Kill Team Lions Pride". Also the Power Armour they wear is strikingly similar to the Space Marines armour when you compare the oversized pauldrons and the shape of the helmets.

Help - no assistance fighting behemoth[]
So I took on the behemoth on my own. There was no Lyon's Pride, no Mini-Nukes... a handful of dead BoS. I continuied and put the dish on the Washington Memorial and came back... Will I have a chance to meet these guys at another point? Thanks. 38.98.13.50 00:12, March 17, 2010 (UTC)

Help Them Survive Take it back![]
Iv always wanted possible Surviving NPCs to ... well... survive!
In the many playthroughs iv made in Take it back. Iv always wanted them all to live. Sometimes Gallows, and Kodiak would make it for Broken Steel. Other times, Kodiak survives with 1 HP left... And his helmet on.. (which is wierd) and Dusk ( and no Gallows... even though hes essential and didnt die during Take it back!... possible glitch? ) Some times they all stay at the bridge after LP disables the pulse field. Sometimes they go all the way to Project Purity ( which is almost impossible for any non-essentials to survive ) Sometimes some of the surviving Lyons Pride members DONT come back to The Citadel anyway!
But all in all, the Question is... is there any ideas you guys might have to help me (and everyone else) keep ALL the brave soldiers of The Lyons Pride alive in Take it back! for Broken Steel? ( Apart from Vargas as he doesnt return for Broken Steel regardless ( See Vagas's Fallout Wiki page )
- Yes, Although it may seem that the Lyons Pride are following Liberty Prime. They are actually following Paladin Vargas. So if Vargas dies... all remaining Lyons Pride will go back to either to the back of the Bridge, or The Citadel. Making them safe from danger. Seeing as Vargas doesnt appear in Broken Steel if he survied anyway, theres no wrong in getting him killed during Take It Back! It may take a few goes, seeing as some members tend to die from random artillery that cannot be prevented. Another problem is that you cannot kill Vargas yourself.. even with a stealth boy and 100 sneak. The Pride will turn on you and you'll need to reload a save.
Jennings a member of the Pride?[]
Something I noticed: While Jennings and Reddin wind up dead, there's only one opening in the Pride after they're back at the Citadel. This might need additional verification. Tagaziel ☏ 19:02, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
