Appearances in Fallout 3?[]
It is unclear if it's intentional or not, but at one point in Fort Bannister the player does confront 2-3 burly Talon mercenaries resembling dwarfs in their stature. Quoting from the page on Jabsco: "Upon encountering Commander Jabsco, two to three Talon mercenaries will spawn to assist him. They are comparatively short non-player characters, and almost resemble children in size.". -- Sitagi (talk) 09:31, June 15, 2015 (UTC)
There's also an old discussion on the Fort Bannister talk page mentioning other sightings of dwarfs in Fallout 3. -- Sitagi (talk) 09:47, June 15, 2015 (UTC)
Appearances: New Vegas?[]
I am just wondering, the page says Dwarves appear in Fallout New Vegas but I can't remember any. Atleast no people short enough for me to consider Dwarves. Can someone either tell me where in New Vegas you can find a Dwarf or remove it from the page. - FieryWrath 19:02, March 6, 2011 (UTC)
Look at edit summaries before deleting. The Gomorrah Floot Manager is a dwarf - and I guess I'm not the only one who says so http://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Talk:Gomorrah#Midget.3F --VonVince 13:06, March 27, 2011 (UTC)
List of Dwarf character appearances?[]
I'm thinking this might be a good suggestion for this article, but as I only have experience with Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics, I can't list them all on my own. A little help, if you gents don't mind? ----- Super Mutant Survivalist 21:04, July 4, 2011 (UTC)
Here's the ones I know of:
In Fallout
In Fallout 2
Caused by radiation and more common?[]
Is there a source indicating this? Dr. Lobotomy 05:13, August 10, 2011 (UTC)
- I'm wondering the very same, is there any proof to this not being medical Dwarfism?--

Better page name[]
Is there any chance we can change this page name into something that's more tasteful? Using Dwarf to refer to people with short stature is not very good. Same goes for Midget. AnalogBreakdown (talk) 01:25, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- I've edited the page extensively (also turns out the term "dwarf" is not used in game at all!). Although the other offensive term unfortunately is. JagoAndLitefoot (aka Ausir) (talk) 10:58, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- 1. From LPAonline.org "Such terms as dwarf, little person, LP, and person of short stature are all acceptable, but most people would rather be referred to by their name than by a label." -and- https://www.bing.com/search?q=is+dwarf+offensive 2. Not used in any of the games, or not used in-game in which game ? Isn't FO2 Micky's outfit in his inventory called "Dwarf Outfit" ? 3. The FNV Gomorrah floor manager is not a dwarf, he's just short (according to LPA, dwarfism as a medical or genetic condition usually results in an adult height of 4'10" or shorter, he is 5'5"). I don't know about the FO3 Talon Company Mercs with Jabsco at Fort Bannister. 4. my thoughts on this: I think we should use both what is seen in-games AND in the games files, whatever that may be and not change the words. My main concern is ease of use for visitors of the wiki, so they can find the information they are looking for. In this case, if we have little person redirecting to dwarf or dwarf redirecting to little people, it doesn't matter, either of them will work. - AngelaStuff2 (talk) 23:19, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
- " Isn't FO2 Micky's outfit in his inventory called "Dwarf Outfit"" – no, non-armor NPC outfits are not actual in-game items in FO1 and 2, and "dwarf outfit" is just something made up by someone here on the wiki. JagoAndLitefoot (aka Ausir) (talk) 00:58, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
This is no place for white Savor Complexes[]
Fandoms are places of information not your personal gratification. Dwarf has never has been an offensive and it has not become one, you can literally find people with Dwarfism and organizations about the condition using it right now. The nonprofit organization 'Little People of America' call their people Dwarfs in their FAQ section[1] . If the people in question do not find the term offensive, it is not offensive. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Onba2 (talk • contribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!
- The word "dwarf" is actually never used in-universe in Fallout or Fallout 2. "Little person" is used at least once. JagoAndLitefoot (aka Ausir) (talk) 15:48, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
- I don't care about the political angle of this post, but there are certainly instances of the term Dwarf being used, and this page should probably defer to them? The "PRO_CRIT.MSG" message file of the Fallout Tech Demo refers to a "Dwarf Man" sprite. The "scrname.msg" file of Fallout 2 labels an int file "# hcMicky.int ; Mickey the Dwarf - Broken Hills". And of course JE Saywer's RPG refers to these individuals as "Dwarf" and "dwarves". Though, most of these are system messages, aside from the Tech Demo. Whaddya y'all think? KingHraat (talk) 00:39, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- Because "little person" was used at least once in-game and not just in the demo unlike "dwarf" being only in system messages, I think it takes priority out of possible page names. JagoAndLitefoot (aka Ausir) (talk) 11:17, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
