MG 42Edit

Again, where are the screens where this gun is called the MG 42? If that's not provided, then this page falls under weapon speculation and needs to be renamed. Great Mara (talk) 20:55, June 17, 2018 (UTC) This may not even be the MG 42. The gun doesn't usually have a drum mag and this drum mag does not look like the common MG 42 mag. -The Cartographer Scribe

Yes. Edit

You are absolutely right. It looks more like a MG2042. Also, learn to sign your Talk posts. Angelsofdeath98 (talk) 14:41, October 25, 2018 (UTC)

In-game nameEdit

Judging by footage from the B.E.T.A, it's just called the Light Machine Gun. - Lazlo 13:12, November 4, 2018 (UTC)

MG-3 Edit

This should be the MG-3 as in the png file it's labeled as MG3_E3_Trailer or MG-3 (name of weapon) E3 (event) trailer (you know what this is). Also it holds up to the MG-3 as the real life version did utilize drum mags. Cliff-hangar talk

That might be what the file is called (because the uploader called it that), however it is called the light machine gun in the game so that's what it should be called here.
Furthermore, unless we have developer confirmation we wouldn't make reference to real world weapons. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 16:07, November 4, 2018 (UTC)

Duh. Edit

Opening the game files with Bethesda Archive Extractor proves that the mg42.nif is indeed a weapon in-game. Angelsofdeath98 (talk) 18:38, November 7, 2018 (UTC)
