So I decided to travel south opposite Blue Paradise Vacation Rentals, and I think I came across a lakelurk breeding area. There had to be at least 30 lakelurks in that area alone. Has anyone else come across this? TrailerParkApe Spew 16:38, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

I removed the part about using a 9mm pistol to kill the Lakelurks. There's not really any reason to tell people how many shots it takes to kill them with one single specific weapon (and it wasn't accurate anyway.)ProfessorApoc 17:19, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

i came across it , it is an unmarked location called Lake Mead Cove

meat

I noticed on one of the recipe's that it needed lakelurk meat but yet every time I kill a lakelurk it says "empty". Anyone else have this problem?--206.109.113.223 22:06, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I've killed around three dozen of the varmints, but haven't found a single "meat-carrier". ComaDivine 10:02, October 26, 2010 (UTC)
(Additional) There are a fair number in Camp Guardian caves that have Lakelurk meat. ComaDivine 00:31, October 27, 2010 (UTC)
I also found a few in Ruby Hill Mine --Jaehyung83 02:31, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

They do spawn with Lakelurk Meat however it is very rare,to compensate for this every time anyone spawn with it they will have up to 4 pieces on them.Ragedaoneanlonely 10:33, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

I did also. I'm surprised how Lakelurks in Fall Out New Vegas were tremendously easy to beat compared to Fall Out 3. The settings played on was Very Hard (Unmodified) on Xbox 360 and they were easy with a manual headshot. I used a silenced Sniper Rifle but Veronica (who was with me at the time) was eliminating them in one or two hits with a Displacer Glove. --WiredNovacane (talk) 16:38, September 4, 2012 (UTC)

No fighting in the water

About lakelurks not fighting in the water, I've noticed that actually no one is able to fight while in water. My character puts away currently wield weapon and starts swimming without it, and the same does Lily, for instance. Is it true then, that fighting in the water is forbidden for everyone in general? - ZuTheSkunk 12:45, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

did you tried with melee ? if the laelurks are not on the water, going to be hard though. and hmm, can they use their atack out of water while you are in the water ? FuzzyWuff 21:31, November 13, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I tried with melee. No one attacks if being currently in the water, even if the target is out of the water. - ZuTheSkunk 02:29, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
If they're close enough to a bank while swimming, you can throw a mine on top of them. Randname 20:26, October 15, 2011 (UTC)

Messed it up...

Was correcting some spelling/grammatical errors as well as a little bit of uneeded information. Was going to change the headline to "characteristics" instead of "about",anyone with little more experience please try to correct my mistake, feel free to change it back to "about" although i still think "characteristics" would describe the topic better. Now back to hoping this wont haunt me throughout the wiki.Ragedaoneanlonely 10:46, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

Invincible lakelurk

At Lake Mead, I somehow managed to knock a lakelurk down to exactly zero health (I think). It was swimming in the water near the shore at the time. At that point, it became invincible. It still showed up as an enemy target in gunsights, and still swam around, but no bullets, plasma, or anything would touch it. The only way I could get rid of it was to swim up right beside it and use console commands to "kill" it.

Cowardly

Sure they might be "fiercely territorial" but they seem to run away when taking as little as three melee hits (Chopper), has anyone else observed this behaviour? --Cartman! 18:35, April 12, 2011 (UTC)

Lakelurk eggs

Has anyone found any lakelurk eggs on their corpses? I have killed more than a hundred of them (kings too) and no one dropped any eggs, so I will remove the eggs from their drop list. GobTheGoul 14:38, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

Pictures

I have noticed all of the pictures on the page are of lakelurk kings, not regular lakelurks. If anyone more tech savvy than I could address this it would be appreciated. --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 20:28, May 5, 2011 (UTC)

Lakelurks are different than Mirelurks. They only come in the humanoid version.--74.215.62.191 15:20, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

"Use of body paint..."

Unlikely in every way plausible. He's a leader, an alpha male. Big males of many animal species ARE more decorative in appearance to attract mates. How about that's the biggest male out there and the rest are younger/ female?

Oh and I removed the part about "Higher levels always have meat" Bull'. I am level 50 and I still have to spend a week of game-time finding every one I can find to slaughter before I find meat on one!

Sonic Attack Bug

Probably not worth mentioning, but I was fighting the Lakelurks up on the Scavenger's platform when one of them tried to do a sonic attack on me. It must have hit a pole, or something, because after I killed them all and started looting, I noticed that the sonic swirly thing was just floating in mid air and making the sounds. Walking through it didn't hurt me and, unsurprisingly, shooting it did nothing. Should this be added to the page? Foxi Hooves (talk) 03:59, April 14, 2015 (UTC)
