When I went here there was a Brotherhood of Steel patrol nearby attacking the raiders outside (but not inside). Being very weak when I first got here, I ran away from the raiders on the inside and the BoS patrol finished them off when they followed me. I don't know if the BoS patrol was random or intentionally placed here. I'm curious if this is common. --Falseprophet 23:35, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Its most likely random because you will randomly find patrols all across the Wasteland and when I went there there wasnt a patrol

I encountered an Outcast patrol hitting the house at night which was quite spectacular. EdBever 12:30, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
The broken bridge in front of the house had a fight between raiders and enclave soldiers, nice loot! EdBever 14:29, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

After clearing out the house and bridge earlier, I returned towards the bridge walking from the northeast, and two Talon Mercs showed up right on the bridge and attacked me (I'm level 6). When I checked for loot there was no contract out for me (and this is the first time I've run into Talon).

From what I remember, only one of the three Talons / Regulators encountered will have that particular note. Perhaps the Talon leader was killed by another creature nearby? Or else it's just another glitch. Perfesser 09:16, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

Spawn Points Edit

This location has some notable spawning features. The entire area is set up as an ambush with multiple skirmishes. Three that I'm aware of. It seems quite a bit of attention was paid to this location and purposely creating a sense of urgency in dealing with it.

The first major spawn point is the random encounter. It might be a help or hindrance depending on what shows up.

The second is less obvious. On the west side of the house as you advance into the map cell from the east, caravans may spawn. They don't detect the raiders and walk up(though they can if you approach from that direction), they materialize there. I'm guessing it's a cell entry point.

The third is on the road to Arefu. This one is arguably the best. Waiting at the intersection spawns Outcasts and Outcast robots. One at a time. But, if you mow 3 of them down, leave for 72 hours then return, then they respawn as a group when waiting. I've been able to spawn 9 units in succession, but sometimes only 3. So the game seems to allow for up to at least 3 patrols. The units seem more hearty than the random encounter variety as well. When respawned as a group they can have a heavy weapon trooper and a robot, not one or the other. Now I know some may think it's just another random encounter with the unique Outcast patrol, but those aren't supposed to respawn when killed or have robots. I don't have access to the GECK, but my guess is that these kinds of spawns happen elsewhere too.

Anyway, I've been in the process of doing a more detailed mapping of random encounters and noticed this spawn behavior as well. Just Sayin'74.77.132.100 17:57, March 26, 2011 (UTC)
