Waste of Time[]

So although I knew Joshua was most likely burned and tossed into the Grand Canyon away from the Mojave, a 50% chance told me Caesar couldv'e thrown him in right away and thus he would be in the Mojave. I searched the Grand Canyon for hours. Hoping he was in the back of the Deathclaw promatory. He wasn't, obviously.

All of those who searched the Canyon as well, I solute you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.217.137.203 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Confirmation[]

Because of this new stupid layout for wikis, I can't figure out how to edit a pre-existing topic. So, relating to my above post, that blog post never said *confirmed* to be related to New Vegas, just likely. In light of that, until we get direct confirmation from the company about this DLC, we shouldn't have this page, because it may not even be related to New Vegas at all. Even if graffiti of any kind hints at this, it still may be purely coincidental.--With care and happiness, Supermutantslayer450' YOU. LOSE. 00:47, January 17, 2011 (UTC)

Given the graffitti file name, that would be hell of a coincidence. I think it's safe to say that it's pretty much confirmed. Ausir(talk) 20:27, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
None of the graffiti in the picture on the page says anything about "honest hearts". Where do you get that this name has anything to do with what the page says it does?--With care and happiness, Supermutantslayer450' YOU. LOSE. 22:58, January 18, 2011 (UTC)
The filename for the graffitti contains the words "honest hearts". Added the relevant info to the page, I think it makes it more clear now. Ausir(talk) 22:29, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Ah, that makes a lot more sense. Gratzia, Ausir.--With care and happiness, Supermutantslayer450' YOU. LOSE. 04:18, January 22, 2011 (UTC)

Burham Springs?[]

Any chances that Burham Springs will appear in "Honest Hearts"? Would be a likely place for Joshua Graham to hang out. Thematically likely... plus, he would have referenced this place as one for meeting in "Van Buren".

Release Date[]

I saw today that the release date will be for March 22nd on this site here http://www.play.tm/news/33166/more-fallout-new-vegas-dlc-details-appear/ Seems reliable enough so should we add that?

Cool story bro Jdw 04:05, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

release date is april 19th. as noted here: http://www.trademarkia.com/honest-hearts-85198870.html Sonicthreat 20:44, March 30, 2011 (UTC) my bad. damn page cache. Sonicthreat 21:00, March 30, 2011 (UTC)

I don't know that it will be released on April 19th just because of that trademark thing because if you use that same logic for Lonesome Road and Old world Blues, which are also trademarked by zenimax on the same sight, they say their opposition date is April 24th or so and I doubt two more dlc's will come out a few days after honest hearts and on the same day for that matter. I think it will be announced by then but the release date is anyones guess.

from - http://stepstoatrademark.com/publishedforopposition.html What does ‘Published for Opposition’ Mean (or ‘Publication for Opposition’)?

Under 15 U.S.C. §1062(a), a trademark or service mark must be published for opposition before it can be registered on the Principal Register. This Publication and [short] time period (30 days) give a way and a time frame to object to the registration. Not just anyone can object/oppose, only any person who believes that he/she would be damaged by the registration of the mark and can prove both Standing and Grounds. - So I doubt it will be out april 19th, if we are really lucky it will be roughly thirty days after that.

Actually Dead Money's trademark page http://www.trademarkia.com/fallout-new-vegas-dead-money-85177546.html has the opposition date for it set as April 5th 2011 and it came out ages ago so I don't know that the oppositon date, which is the basis of this belief that Honest Hearts will be out april 19th, means anything at all except the legal date to dispute the trademarked name rights.

News -Fallout New Vegas patch to precede the expansion- http://www.computerandvideogames.com/298041/news/fallout-new-vegas-patch-to-precede-next-dlc-expansion/ Good news it sounds like, but if they still have to go through confirmation with sony and microsoft for the patch it might be about a week before the patch and then probably have the trophies confirm the expansion through that. Soon though :D

Ringo?[]

I have talked to Ringo at crimson caravan, and he said he was going to california/arizona (?)

But will he be in honest hearts?

No! Ringo said he was heading to New Canaan and it is unknown if he will appear in Honest hearts.

He probably will. Unless you killed him of course.--184.238.66.57 18:07, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

Why is Ringo listed under characters when he's not confirmed? I feel that should be taken out until we know for sure but all leave that up to someone else.

Hey, I'm new so I don't know if I'm doing this right, but Honest Hearts would take place in ZNP in Utah which is northeast of Las Vegas, where did Ringo say he was heading?

DLC Merger?[]

Do you guys think it is possible we may see a Shivering Isles-esque expansion pack instead of all the small DLC's? I mean, the timeline is basically following what happened whit Oblivion, they got a few small releases and then a year later they got Shivering Isles. What do you think?

I don't know that New Vegas would support an add on the size and breadth of shivering Isles simply because they have clearly stated that they will not do any post main game dlc and its hard to picture anything that huge going on at the same time as the main campaign and they will not set it after the main campaign. I suppose it is possible but I just don't think its likely. Don't worry thought all the other dlcs will still be great and add allot, just not Shivering Isles/Dragon Age Awakening allot. But still just my opinon, keep hope alive brother.

Style?[]

So what kind of style do you think we will see in this dlc?

Since it seems to be religion based "seems" are we going to see a Israel dessert , garden of Eden or crusader style?

- Being a Mormon myself I'm excited for this as I am curious to see how accurately they portray us. The Van Buren Design doc did have a few discrepencies, but I wonder if they will iron them out.

It will probably have a lot to do with faith, I reckon, and since Joshua Graeme was an ex-member of the church I wonder if it will have something to do with his return? In the V.B design doc there was something about a high-stat "burned man" companion that was like the pariah dog, in a way, great to use in combat but really rotten to have around socially, and he would refuse to enter New Caanan. Thats my theory on what its about, or something like that. I reckon graeme's past will catch up with him, and he is reluctant to let it back in. 5t3v0 10:43, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

If you believe that a religion wouldn't evolve during the two centuries between the nuclear war and the Courier era, it shows how little you actually understand about religion. A 23rd century post-nuclear Mormon Church identical to 21st peace-era Mormon Church would be nonsensical. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 19:15, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I thought about that again and said something of the sort in an earlier post. Reflecting on it more there have been a lot of feforms in the past with the church. I know it wouldnt be identical, and the Van Buren design document does provide explaination as to why the polygamy policy was reinstated at least. But Some things, such as how prophets are chosen were incorrect imo, but could have something to do with the isolation.

Basically what im trying to say is that yes, things will be different, I just want to see if the differences are accurate, too little, or exaggerated. Watever they go with though isnt going to make me boycott it though. 58.111.201.174 00:23, April 10, 2011 (UTC)

I live in utah and am familiar with the LDS church and it seems like the makers of Fallout aren't big fans. The main mormon character, Joshua Graham, was lit on fire and kicked in the Grand Canyon, coincidence? You decide. Also, someone who had respect for a religion wouldn't use one of it's fabled quotes as a title for a violent video game. " Honest Hearts make for honest actions" -Brigham Young. I'm not criticizing them, I think they're awesome, but they almost certainly aren't going to accurately portray the mormons. But that's just my opinion You are now blinking manually 02:36, April 24, 2011 (UTC)ElGodofmetal666

I don't think they need to really. I live in Utah and I am LDS and I for one like the post apocalyptic satire and political structures they do. I'm not worried about being offended and frankly would think it would silly for anyone to be. Maybe that's just me though. -Sheogorath27

Also let's try and guess the plot points and character factions that are going to appear. joshua grahms going to be there, mormons are going to be there, tribals might be there, caravan companies might be there, ceasar's legion might be there, and the plot might involve the mormons having something that everyone wants, or joshua grahm is a sort of terrorist leader trying others fate, or the local factions are in a sort of war or cold war with each other. these are just gueses since I'm bored, but lets see what obsidian has in store for us

I'm hoping that they'll have the mormon society being kind of secluded and therefore having their own unique weapons and armor. Maybe, what do you guys think? You are now blinking manually 02:36, April 24, 2011 (UTC)ElGodofmetal666

Actually Tagaziel,it wouldn't be that hard to retain a religion over two centuries, even with a nuclear fallout.data survives,as do followers.religions evolve until they have reached a peak, where nothing needs to be changed.as christianity is now.people would just stop changing things and embrace it.of course you will have the odd group of crazies dotted around. -backstabber424 17:15 25/04/2011

Christianity isn't changing? Wow. That's an absurd thing to say. Just check out Bishop Spong and the Episcopalians, or the Roman Catholic approach to other religions, or the evangelical Protestant shift toward nationalism. I think the Mormon community in HH will be done respectfully.

Well, to be honest I'm happy we're in the game at all. In my opinion, the creators of the game do indeed have a lot of respect for the church if they're willing to believe it could survive a nuclear holocaust intact. Sure, I was worried about how accurate it would be (the Van Buren doc doesn't mention a temple- WHERE"S THE TEMPLE!?), but all in all, I believe that if they had enough courage to include our religion in the first place, and give us a pretty important spot in it too, then they're going to make sure we are portrayed in as decent a way as possible. And we are! So rejoice! ~Bananianiown

April 17th?[]

Yesterday (April 6th) I saw a release date set for the 17th. Excitedly, I texted some of my friends and even set an event on my ipod. Now this date is gone from the page and set to the 19th again. Could someone enlighten me? --Valoopy

I will be happy with any new dlc but I do hope to play honest hearts more then Old world blues.

Soon?[]

I've realized that the usual trend isn't happening yet. With all the FO3 downloads, the Vault had explosions of confirmed content straight from Bethesda's mouth the week of or before their supposed release. There is only 6 days until April 19th, and usually the Vault gets dates right early on. My hopes are getting low for a release date soon. I think it's time for some even heavier file digging. Maybe a hacker would be useful right now...--Valoopy

Gold?[]

The wikipedia article says that "gold" is: "the point where all necessary commercialization activities have been completed and the software has been made available to the general market either via the web or physical media." which makes it seem like it has been released, which it hasn't. Or am i just reading it wrong? Draedon 10:40, April 17, 2011 (UTC)

Honest Hearts[]

think of it how is it going to comme out soon if there is not even a commercial of the dlc. when the commercial comes out you will have the release date. there is always a commercial for a fallout game dlc so were is the Honest Hearts one? they will release it when they whant to come out with the dlc. also dont forget commercial usually have the release date in them.

Leaked picture[]

Is it just me or does the guy in the background of the leaked picture look like a Blackfoot native? Cause obsidians bringing back stuff from Van Buren, and the Blackfoot were going to be in that. And, before anyone says "They were absorbed into Ceaser's legion" well maybe not all of them were. It could also be some other native. What do you think?

Power Bonkers 01:00, April 24, 2011 (UTC)Power Bonkers

I'm not to familiar with the blackfoots and Van Buren but I'd have to think that his current, bandaged look would not show his previous origins. In the photo he's wrapped up so it would be hard to see any details about him. - user:ElGodofmetal666

Oooohhh.... right... I guess I'll just leave this thread and go hide in a corner now. I looked it up though and saw how Caesar and Joshua Graham were once in the blackfoots so you're probably right about the style of clothing. Hopefully, there will be new weapons and armor. user:ElGodofmetal666

Do you think...[]

That they would have the balls to go dead money on us again???

What do you mean?

I think what OP is trying to ask is: would they dare to push HH onto PC and/or Xbox while the PSN outage is ongoing (i.e. renenge on the commitment to not do the timed exclusive thing like with DM)? It would make sense that the only reason we're still waiting on everything (patch and DLC, in the case of console versions) is because of this pesky turn of events with PSN, whoever the perp or whatever the motivation.

Alternately, the question could mean "Would they dare to make a DLC where we lose our inventory at the start, spend half our time scavenging for basic gear in an exaggeratedly hostile environment, and end by leaving Zion behind, never able to return?" To which one could argue "who really knows yet". I'm going to go ahead and assume the inventory loss is a given, and that the Courier gets to spend at least the first half of HH making do with the local weaponry and apparel. Wouldn't be any fun otherwise - unless the enemies are ridiculously overpowered, a-la Point Lookout (cue swampfolk nightmares).

My money's also on Zion National Park being freely accessible post-DLC-questline, unless they can somehow justify never going back. 50/50 on this one: somehow, the Courier is able to *walk* back from the Sierra Madre (wherever the hell it is, anyway), end up inside the BOS bunker, and completely fail to remember how to retrace his/her footsteps. (That still bugs me, personally - either those bullets to the noggin really screw with the Courier's sense of direction, or there's a massive secret tunnel between the Bunker and the Madre that no one bothered to mention.

I don't think that they will do that again but realistically they want to challenge us, i mean finishing it will be far to easy if we're wearing Remnants power armor, got anti-materiel rifles and over 700 stimpacks, dead money was so fun because it took us out of our comfort zone, if only for a short time. if they let us keep our gear then it is going to be really hard, becasue they know how to exploit the ending of dead money, they made it!Tozzler 12:01, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

Well since there is an achievement for "Evacuating Zion" i highly doubt you can return there, seems to me they will use some sort of cataclysmic event to justify never returning there... --CyrilTheGreat 22:12, May 7, 2011 (UTC)

Gamerscore[]

Is that gamerscore simply someone guessing, or has it been confirmed and if so were? - RASICTalk 17:37, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

I'm going to remove the gamerscore until confirmation is shown. - RASICTalk 17:52, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

I hope we get to go to New Caanan in the add on as well Zion national park. It seemed that way at first but now with the trophy list and such it seems less likely, that and New Caanan (Ogden) is in Northern Utah and that is forever away from Zion and even more so from the Mojave desert. I was looking forward to maybe seeing post apocalypse Salt lake city and Ogden, I hope its there but I am excited either way.

I unlocked the roulette achievement while in the Sierra Madre Casino. I checked what acheivements I had left and these five are now on my list as being still unobtained. It's still a couple of days until the DLC is released, so I don't know how this happened. The gamerscore in this wiki reflect what is on my achievement list. I hope this doesn't screw everything up for me when I do purchase the DLC in a couple of days. 15 May 2011, 758pm pacific. Kalroy

PSN makes us wait[]

Since they want to release it on all platforms simultaneusly we are propably waiting for it because of the PSN hacking wich has the PSN in maintenance mode for over a week now.

DAMN YOU ALL !

With the patch out even for PS3, it also makes me wonder if they are holding the release date due to the PSN fiasco. With the Playstation Store likely being out up to a month after PSN is even available for logging in, playing games and pushing thru an anti-home brew patch I hope this is not accurate. PS3 is my only console, but I cannot see whats to be gained by not allowing Xbox and PC users to play this DLC. It's not as if Bethesda or Obsidian have anything to do with the issue. I would hope my fellow PS3 users who haven't or haven't yet jumped ship would see things this way as well. If I can't play it, I would at least like to read about it and work on my next character build based upon whatever extras it adds. ;) XxSylphxx 21:53, May 1, 2011 (UTC)

Return?[]

I hope that you'll be able to return to HH when you are done with whatever you shall be done with, because i apperntly missed alot of godies in Dead Money, where i also threw away almost all unique Dead Money stuff (Weapons and such) i had to be able to get as many gold bars as possible on the last quest :/. CrossFeast 21:15, April 29, 2011 (UTC)CrossFeast

I think the reason u cant return to dead money is because there are no NPCs therefor no quests and also to stop you taking every gold bar and having a game ruiningly high 99999 caps.

I have all 37 gold bars its only possible to get all of them if you sneak around Father Elijah (Which is nearly impossible and took me many tries)--Gwuag 22:33, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah all the quests are completed but you should still be able to return to kill NPCs and gather Dead Money weapons and stuff

This is as close as I can get: "Καί ή σκοτία αύτό ού κατέλαβεν" But translated: "And Scotland was possessed Procedure" ...Yeah, that's not right. I think a better version is: "Καί ή σκοτάδι αύτό κατέλαβεν" Translated: "And the darkness is possessed" God's in his Heaven... All's right with the world 22:39, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Cornelius Plautus is propably correct. Stop using Google Translate as an argument, people. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 23:17, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
I think you was a lot closer with Καί ή σκοτία αύτό ού κατέλαβεν than you think. The problem is using a modern Greek translator for something that is much older. Now if you drop the accent on σκοτία to σκοτια, Scotland changes to darkness which is more likely since Scotland was not around at the time (says what the modern Greeks think of the Scots). Now you end up with And the darkness is possessed of Procedure, now of Procedure is the top selection for the translation, but the alternate (if you click of procedure) is ordination which sounds a lot more plausible. Now we end up with And the darkness is possessed ordination, which doesn't sound quick right yet. So if we drop the v on κατέλαβεν as it may have been dropped in modern times, we end up with Kαί ή σκοτια αύτό ού κατέλαβε which translates into And the darkness that conquered ordination which sounds much better. But then there is the issue of that with alternate translations of was, resulting in And the darkness was conquered ordination. Which might sound worse than the translation above, but what bugs me is the of Procedure being translated into ordination. Since it is a modern translation it could very be by ordination. This would result in it meaning And the darkness was conquered by ordination. So they are both equally possible in my books. But if it is Joshua's gun as I suspect, And the darkness was conquered by ordination sounds more plausible. Best thing is to ask Sawyer on Formspring. User:AvatarUser talk:Avatar 23:32, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
Damn man, you sure know your Greek. That's it. Until Sawyer says otherwise, I'm going with And the darkness was conquered by ordination. Makes a lot more sense then And Darkness has possessed me given that it's likely Joshua's gun. Thanks man! God's in his Heaven... All's right with the world 23:53, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Am I going to have to reload an earlier save before I started the Hoover missions, or will this 'carry on' the way that the DLC's did in Fallout 3 after completeing the Water of Life quest (or whatever it was called). I don't fancy starting a brand new character just to do this (and the upcoming) DLCs.

I'm guessing, because of teh Burning Man's prescence, that there must be some impact/interaction with the Legion's storyline, so will that effect when it's possible to set it? Ged UK 14:08, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

None of the DLCs will continue after the Hoover Dam battle.--Gmcb007 22:04, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

"Eye for eye"[]

Is this its real name? --User:Cartman!User talk:Cartman! 11:50, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

  • Eye for an Eye does sound better, wouldn't it? We'll find out soon enough. JspoelJspoel Vault Boy 11:55, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

- Or "Eye for eye" as in "Eye to eye". Who knows, all matter of phrase.

-I made the page, and the Bethesda info says "Eye for Eye". It could possibly be a mistake, of course, but that is the official source. BILLYOCEAN 22:54, May 16, 2011 (UTC)

I think I saw a shishkenab (flamey sword) in the trailer can somone please confirm it? 216.248.235.1 15:44, May 13, 2011 (UTC)

Time?[]

Anyone know what time the DLC is going to be released? 71.162.41.150 04:11, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

no clue 2:15pm here still waiting May 17, 2011

downloading honest hearts atm :)

I just downloaded it x-box360 :D - JJ

Anyone know what time it will be available on Steam? Im still waiting ):

This is an outrage! Time to wake up steam, it's may 17th so release it NOAW!!!! I've been waiting since midnight dammit!

VERY GLAD[]

I'm happy that PS3 is down and we cant get it till later, hopefully by the team we get it then thy would have worked out some of the kinks, i don't want my data getting corrupted because of some fuck who didn't do his work properly!

I bet Microsoft paid to have this as a timed exclusive just to try and show that they and their Xbots aren't massive failures.

Microsoft didn't pay to have this. Bethesda feels like the software is ready to go now. It's Sony's fault that PSN is down.

The unique .45 pistol is called "A Light Shining in darkness"

Hopes for Honest Hearts:[]

So I know there are gonna be Mormon/Christens in Honest Hearts, so I hope we meet the "preacher" kinda character who has those black priestly robes, so I can wear them and travel the Mojave eliminating evil as the hand of justice or something lol.

Mormons don't wear those robes.

Companion Glitch[]

"In Honest Hearts, like other DLC's, you are not allowed to take followers with you. However, unlike Dead Money, the game does not force them out of your party, you have to do it yourself. Unfortunately, ED-E can be glitched out of the game entirely. If this happens the game still thinks ED-E is in your party and WILL NOT let you travel to Zion."

Can anyone confirm this? I downloaded the dlc this morning, at work now. I have the glitch with EDE. I have tried waiting 2 weeks in game, checked nash residence, checked lucky 38, tried vault 22 elevator trick, tried having victor force him out of my party at lucky 38, and nothing has seemed to work. From my point of view, my party is empty, but people comment about him, and I can't use rex because it says my party is not empty.

I lost him after dead money, so I can't try this trick. I really don't want to come home and find out that I can't play the dlc. I was only rotating with 10 previous save games, and I can't find him in any of them. I can't really just start a new character either, I've been working on this guy since October. . .

WTF massive glitch????[]

So I entered Zion and everbody died in the ambush. So I went to get the map and then my quest was updated to return to the Mojave and so I did and an ending was played...so has this happened to anyone else?

Safe Storage in Zion[]

did you guys tried any container to see if it's safe to stash equipment? just started to play and I'm already full of stuff I'd like to keep. tks! Apparently the Three Bags right in the entrance of Zion National Park ARE safe for stashing equipment. I play on 360 and left all my stuff there during the whole Add-on campaign. (just remind the 'Take All' bug where not all yr equipment are retrived when using this option.)

I used the Workbench Storage crate in Angel Cave. Saved, then waited a week to see if it emptied. It didn't, so I reloaded my old save and carried on. The time consuming part is getting it all back to the motel in Novac afterwards. BunnyCommando 12:25, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

Skillbooks[]

Are there any Skill Books in this DLC? My friend swears he found one but I did not. --JJakaRebel 00:18, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

I've found a Big Book of Science.

That's what my friend said he found. Where did you find it? --JJakaRebel 02:41, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Man, I'm not sure which one, but I've found it in one of the caves, I guess it was Cueva Guarache, but I'm not sure. Sorry :/

Ok That's fantastic. That's exactly where my friend said he found his Big Book of Science. --JJakaRebel 17:06, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

I found a Tales of a Jerktown Junky Vendor and a Chinese stealth book in the same container. It seems as though the skill book(s) received may be random. 71.163.222.227 20:46, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

You can find them in containers near workbenches and such but they are really random and unlikely to find, the Big Book of Science is the most common one though. --Cc99910 18:41, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

I found about 3 Big Books of Science in random containers (win!), but I didn't see any other skillbooks in the whole add on. --Supersoviet8055 13:38, May 23, 2011 (UTC)

Are you able to....[]

go back? i mean theres all that stuff to do and if you don't even know about it..... THANK YOU ATTENTIVE SIR!!!!! For letting me know.

Yes. You are able to go back as much as you want. Companions aren't allowed, however. --JJakaRebel 02:53, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Oh no not again..... My copy is massively glitched. The Xander Root model is missing and shows up as big red diamonds with exclamation points inside. Neither the General Store nor the Saloon have floors -- unless you stand on something, you go into an endless looping fall -- and they are filled with the aforementioned red diamonds with exclamation points. This is depressing.... Wunengzi 04:16, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

When you go back all the named NPCs disappear so you won't be able to complete side quests any more. Solution, complete side quests before returning to the Mojave.

Another bug? 18 may 2011[]

Hello,

I have this game with both the addons Dead Money and Honest Hearts.

I've made sure to check every .esm box when I run the game through the launcher. Dead Money works fine, but Honest Hearts does not. When I played Dead Money for the first time it gave me a quest saying 'come to the opening of the sierra madre' or something like that. Honest Hearts doesn't give me a new quest at all. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance August Cyrx 17:59, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Mine is as well. The local GameStop told me to call Microsoft but I am unsure what that will accomplish if it's a user error or anything to that sort.

get the new update. 6 iirc

I got the new update when I downloaded it. What else do you suggest I do?

I had that problem but it cleared up immediately once I dismissed my companions. 76.167.141.204 17:11, May 27, 2011 (UTC)Helena

I've also got this problem, tried the above and did nothing for me.(xbox 360)

I just got HH on the PS3 and it suffers from this exact same glitch. I've reinstalled it multiple times, dismissed all companions, uninstalled and reinstalled the game itself and still no luck. Like the OP Dead Money works fine, but HH is simply unplayable. The level cap did increase to 40, but the new perks don't appear either, making it undesirable to level up til i can get them. Does anyone have any other ideas for a workaround? I've waited almost 4 weeks and don't want to have to wait longer. UPDATE: I've confirmed that it has nothing to do with the ED-E My Love quest, as a brand new character suffered from it as well. It most likely has something to do with a missing file. Sucks for the PSN to finally go back up and not be able to play the DLC 'cause of stupid bug.

Just tried it and the Classic Pack won't work either. It seems like it's a problem with the current patch. It's odd that Dead Money would work though.

I'm having the same problem, except that Dead Money isn't working either. In my 'Game Data' file, I have three FNV files (the main vanilla game, Dead Money, and Honest Hearts). Two of them are Canadian versions of the file, but one of them is the US version, and I think it's Dead Money. That would explain why it's not working. My level cap has gone up, I don't know how high it is right now, but nothing else changed; no new missions, no broadcast from Sierra Madre, and even though I installed both the English and French version of the Classic Pack, I get no items given to me in a current load or a new game. This is absolute B *bleep*ing S. After waiting for PSN and the PS Store for well over a month to buy these DLC's and redeem my Classic Pack, I blow my $20 PSN card that I bought weeks ago on this bugged crap. Why did PS Store give me the US version of Dead Money? Why are neither of these add-ons showing up in the game? Why am I not recieving my Classic Pack items? And finally, while a mistake by Sony would be understandable (they've been pretty busy), for Bethesda/Obsidian it is absolutely inexcusable. They had over a month while Sony kept us offline to get these things right, to test them. B*llsh*t, complete b*llsh*t. I am so angry right now I can't even think straight. --The.true.samiam 05:35, June 3, 2011 (UTC)

Meals-to-Metal[]

what is it? I'm locked inside Zion and can't find all ingredients do carft it.

The workbench recipe with all the pots and pans in it? It's just a way to create scrap metal. Same thing for the recipe with the plates and utensils. I believe I got 1 scrap metal out of the pots and pans recipe. 71.163.222.227 21:24, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

BUG - Weapon mods bought from Joshua Graham[]

I'm on the xbox360 and none of the weapon mods added for the honest hearts weapons apply when bought they just sit in my inventory. Tried multiple times, reloaded saves, etc and was wondering if this has affected anyone else. 86.147.161.78 19:47, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

I'm slightly confused. Did you manually try and apply them? They don't automatically appear on your weapon. You have to do it yourself. --JJakaRebel 20:40, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Haha now I feel really stupid, rightly so as well. I had completely forgotten about needing to apply them, thank you. I'll just go and quietly weep at my own stupidity now :) 86.147.161.78 21:12, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

New Map Marker[]

Dagger's Point is not listed with the other locations, it's directly east of The Bend Bridge, on a point of land sticking out towards the bridge. There is a half buried duffle bag with a Vault 22 Jumpsuit and other stuff in it near a half buried skeleton, some Xander root plants and a Mesquite tree are nearby.BigShayne08-1 21:55, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Strong back[]

I have the strong back perk (like nearly everyone else), and it definitely does not let you bring 100 pounds of stuff...the message still appears saying 75, and it didn't change until I talked to Ricky. LucidDreams 02:17, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

Yes it does; when you speak to Jed Masterson and you select the dialogue choice that says you want to leave, he should explain the whole weight limit thing and there will be a barter check along with a dialogue choice for strong back. I know I definitely was able to select it with him and I've seen an LP with it as well. 69.124.169.24 02:24, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

First, what makes you think nearly everyone has the strong back perk? I’m sure there’s plenty of people (like me) who think it’s a waste of a perk. All it does is let you carry 50 pounds, however a companion will carry about 200 pounds for you. If you’re going to take a weight related perk the long haul perk is far more beneficial. Instead of a lousy 50 pounds, you can fast travel regardless of how much you’re carrying.

Anyway…

One trick is if you’re playing on hardcore, turn it off until you arrive there, then turn it back on, that way your ammo doesn’t count against you. ReapTheChaos 15:02, June 11, 2011 (UTC)

Not such a good plan ...

Most people who are playing hardcore are either doing it all out for the challenge or doing it all out for the achievement/trophy/whatever. De-activating hardcore even once will cancel that, and if you're gonna turn hardcore off to make things easier, why bother playing hardcore at all? On the other hand ... The following have no weight even in hardcore: {ammo type} Casings {ammo type} powder {ammo type} primer Drained {energy weapon ammo of choice} (stock up on these beforehand, and only convert them if you really need them. Makes things easier going into OWB)

Also, if you have GRA and vigilant recycler, optimized energy ammo is 60% of the weight of the regular stuff. For your guns, just break down your ammo, and all you have to worry about is the weight of the appropriate lead (and there is enough scrap to smelt for that). For energy weapons, MF Hyperbreeder Alpha is priceless for close quarters. {favorite type of} LAER is very ammo weight efficient, but be prepared to spend a lot of caps on repairs or bring some repair kits. (Heavy) incinerator with optimized fuel is also pretty efficient at long range if you can free aim ballistics reasonably well, but you'll want something else for the larger types of Cezador and Yao Guai and for ambushes. Tested with a regular incinerator, but if at ALL possible, get yourself a heavy.

There are plenty of solid unarmed weapons, so only bring in 10+lbs of unarmed weapon if you are REALLY attached to it. Melee, you'll get fire axes. Sufficient for backup, not the best if you're primary melee.

Armor, you can survive off white legs armor long enough to go get the desert ranger armor, which will do the job well enough for the rest of the DLC.

All this is from personal observation on V-Hard hardcore, running the DLC starting a little after level 10, going to complete before 20. recently had a nasty ambush of 3 giant cezadors at point blank, as well as a pack of 5 giant Yao Guai (not at point blank, but within aggro range of each other, so yes, I have made these observations against some of the nastier stuff. 50.71.99.254 05:13, July 1, 2012 (UTC)WinFree50.71.99.254 05:13, July 1, 2012 (UTC)

White Legs in Zion After Completion of DLC?[]

Yeah, I don't think that they're still around at the end. I ended up wiping out the white legs an as a result there are NO white legs left in Zion. Therefore, the note about the people left following the completion of the DLC may be incorrect. Also, the Sorrows and the Dead Horses are still there but Graham, Daniel, Follows-Chalk and Walking Cloud are gone. Two Bears High Fiving is still around though. Richie9999 04:05, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

I had just noticed that currently the page states "It's important to note that after you have completed the DLC, no more "good" characters will be left in Zion. This includes the Dead Horses and Sorrows tribes. If the player feels the need to explore, it would be a good idea to do so before the final quest. Also, whether or not you decide to take Daniel or Graham's route for the final quest, White Legs will still appear in Zion after the completion of the DLC."

After completing Daniel's ending and then persuading Salt-Upon-Wounds to leave through a speach check; -No white legs are around at all -The actual DH and S tribes have gone but I often find Dead Horse stalkers sneaking throughout zion (renamed with something similar to Canaanite Follower??!) -Any other named NPCs have all left too. Tom.kendal 10:09, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

Looking in the G.E.C.K., which tribals are randomly encountered in Zion after completing the DLC is dependent on two things. If you completed the quest Crush The White Legs or if you convinced Salt-Upon-Wounds to leave during Flight From Zion, there will only be Dead Horses. Otherwise there will only be White Legs. If people are still finding Sorrows tribals, not sure where they are coming from. BrokenDetonatorCollar 06:33, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

Disappointment in the DLC[]

Did anyone else think that this DLC was way too short? Compared to all of the content from Fallout 3, and FNV's Dead Money, I found that I beat it in like 2 hours, with all of the content explored, all of the text read. I revisited to get some of the unique item's that I had previously missed, but all-in-all that only added another 45 minutes worth of time to get every single location, as well as all of the unique armor & weapons. Also, I feel as if the "legend of the burned man" was cool, but Joshua Graham was just so minor in an already miniscule plot depth. I mean with every other DLC there has been some mystery or deep enticing lore behind all of the content. For example Mothership Zeta had so much content explaining what the space ship was doing there in the first place and all of the characters from different time periods had their own stories, as well as Operation Anchorage had its own special feeling to it of espionage & sabotage in a foreign land, and Dead Money, had the whole mystery factor to everything, with Vira and her lover, and the vault at the bottom of the casino. Anyways, getting back on track, I just thought it was over all a disappointment. I found the lore associated around the burned man was interesting, but then when you see him, and talk to him, with the very limited communication options, and responses, to be an overall disillusionment. To emphasize what the point I'm making, I found the lore around "The father in the cave" aka Randall Clark to be much more interesting than the burned man. Lastly, the fact that they killed off 3 named NPC's in the first 5 minutes of the DLC was a disappointment, I would've suggested a capture by the White-legs, and then maybe an escaping the White-leg camp as a quest where they maybe die because of their vices, shown by the one being a chem addict, etc. Anyways, I would really like someones input on this also, so someone please respond, thanks. GodMaroh 06:05, May 19, 2011 (UTC)GodMaroh

Although this DLC increases you cap by 5 and has a few good weapons and armor, I agree that it lacked a certain depth that other DLC's have had and its length was a little dissapointing. Is it worth the money? Yes. In my mind it's still worth the money. --JJakaRebel 06:13, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I agree it's an OK quick play through, and is in fact worth the money, I disagree with the weapons & armor statement though, nothing tops Chinese Stealth Armor & Gannon Family Tesla Armor or Remnants Armor, IMO, and I'm a ranged weapons person myself, so I use everything except explosives and melee/unarmed stats, so Nothing really topped the items I already have, especially the godly Holorifle. Even the melee weapons you received weren't much, as they didn't top anything in the vanilla FNV. But other than that, I enjoyed the extra 5 levels, and some of the Story Line in Honest Hearts, but the negative aspects including perks, weapons, armor, and depth, made me disappointed.( Yes, I also disliked the perks that were added in HH.)GodMaroh 06:56, May 19, 2011 (UTC)GodMaroh

I should clarify; I only like the Survivalist's Rifle and the .45 Auto submachine gun for weapons. For the armor, the only thing good is the Desert Ranger combat armor as it has a high DT for a medium armor(the only armor I wear). The only perk I thought was useful was Grunt as it gives a nice boost to most Non-energy weapons in the game. Exploration-wise, The DLC lost its charm after an hour. There isn't too much to do after you complete the quests and find 90% of the locations. JJakaRebel 18:06, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

You two pretty much covered all of the points, but yes I loved DM much more than HH. Even the open narrative was just sort of "eh". I was greatly looking forward to this DLC; I mean I stayed up until 1:30 that night waiting for it to be released. (DLC's apparently don't follow the same rules as movie releases) I do think that a lot of the weapons and armor are ridiculously good. Even so, the benefits of completing DM are worth so much more (infinite stimpacks, ammo, weapon repair kits, and even the gold bars are all possible through DM) I really just wanted a lot more, if anything they could've just expanded on the story. DM had about 4 characters but those 4 characters mean more than the entire Zion Canyon. I hope Old World Blues can remedy HHs failures. BatmanVampireNinja 02:33, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

I hate to make accusations like this, but I find it a little hard to believe you finished it in two hours. Perhaps you weren’t paying attention to the time but I think it probably took you longer than that.

I played it through three times total, and my third time was a speed run to see just how fast it could be done. I completed all the quests in the game including both companion quests, the Rite of Passage quest as well as playing both ending quest lines and did nothing else, no picking up loot or exploring, and that took me 3 hours. I suppose if you skip the side quests and skipped through the conversation you could shave maybe 20-30 more minutes off of that, but keep in mind when I was through with that speed run I hadn’t even discovered half of the locations on the map and didn’t do one bit of exploring.

So to answer your question, no I didn’t find it too short.

Yeah, did anyone think that this was way too easy. It was a pleasant change from Dead Money which chewed me up, spit me out, raped what was left, set it on fire, then raped it again, but it was enjoyable. Honest Hearts was almost too easy, the only reason I didnt beat it within 3 hours is my save glitched in such a way that the ending cutscene wouldnt load so i rage quit. Desert Ranger Combat Armor is totally worth buying it though. -- 70.178.197.119 01:59, May 22, 2011 (UTC)

Please stop saying its worth the money. If the CEO's of Besthesda read this they will stop putting effort into the add ons for future Fallout games.

It was worth the money.

But seriously, I liked Joshua's character a lot, he was the only reason I bought the DLC. I only wish there were more dialogue choices with him. He was so hyped up and you can't even ask him /why/ he went with Caesar in the first place. On the subject of dialogue, I noticed that some of the choices were really bad and slang-filled, like how you can ask Waking Cloud "what her deal is". She doesn't even bat an eye, and her English is really structured, so, realistically, one would expect her to ask what that's even supposed to mean. Or how dialogue choices reflecting religion either went, one, "That sounds cool!", two, "Let me think about that...", or three, "LOL YOU DON'T ACTUALLY BELIEVE IN THAT CRAP DO YOU?" I was hoping for a bit more ambiguity and not clear cut positive-neutral-negative choices, or being able to say, "Well, I'm not really religious," politely, but alas. --Kafeij 07:58, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

It's not just that, this dlc really lack into effort from devs. Like the side quest of Walking Cloud about her family that just require you to turn around and talk to Daniel, 3 lines of text and the quest is over already. It goes pretty much like: "oh Daniel do you know anything about this chick husband?" "Oh yea that guy, he died but don't tell her. Oh well, if you really want then tell her, whatever".

It lacks many others things, maybe its just because I'm not a canyon guy but zion lacked everything that Sierra Madre had. From the atmosphere of costant danger, right from the start by being stripped naked just with a rifle with a few ammo, from the place itself filled of the deadly cloud killing the sky and slowly killing the player, the costant need to watch your step, the skillful level design that turned every location into a maze using the radio...

I don't even want to talk about the characters, even Sinclaire and Vera were better then the most accurate characters of HH. For this and for all that has been said before, in the end, HH seems a lot like some little dlc just made to milk the cow of the dlc. I just hope that Old World Blues and Lonesome Road will follow Dead Money example. --BeerSeeker 00:55, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

Optional Quests Misconception[]

NOTE: Some of the "optional" quest are glitched and complete after one of the objectives is completed. This was tested on an Xbox 360, not other platforms. (Confirmed on PC as well.)

I believe the above to be inaccurate? I assume it relates to quests similar to and including the one where you must either wipe out White Legs Camp or steal their tribal totem (sorry for lack of name)...

Both are optional objectives however on completion of one; the entire quest is complete...

I believe these to be moral and/or playing style choices to give the player two options as to how they want to complete the quest; NOT a glitch of any sort? Tom.kendal 10:16, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

Actual Confirmed Number of Locations in HH[]

Again, my complaint lies in why there can't be a simple "Locations Discover out of x"

I've now discovered 245 in NV, DM and HH. I know I discovered all the locations in the Mojave and DM (not including Legates Camp)but am not sure how many that number is? Or indeed how many there are in HH.

So I feel we should include the total number of HH locations on the main page and i would appreciate if someone could give us a total number all together? Tom.kendal 10:21, May 19, 2011 (UTC)

Why don't you just count the locations that it lists in the "Locations" section of the Honest Hearts add-on page? I counted, there are 55. GodMaroh 19:07, May 19, 2011 (UTC)GodMaroh

Legion Problems?[]

I came back the the Mojave after completing HH (fought the White Legs, stopped Joshua from killing salt-wounds)and all legion soldiers outside of Cottonwood cove and the Fort are hostile towards me. My rep with Legion is "Liked" but the troops at Nelson, Legion Raid Camp, and techatticup mine are all hostile on sight. Anyone else had this problem?

I had a similiar problem with the NCR after completing HH, though I evacuated the Sorrows from the Canyon. The only way the NCR won't attack me is if I disguise myself as one of them, though certain guards will try to get me. Even the Crimson Canyon tries to attack me. Bear in mind my reputation with the NCR is "Idolized". (Note: I put this in the bugs section of Honest Hearts.) I haven't checked with all the factions though. (I made enemies with Caesar's Legion long before the DLC, though.)

Yea , that sounds just like my problem. I havent tried with my NCR character yet, but both of my legion characters have this problem

Companion glitch prevents starting the DLC[]

So I removed the line on the wiki page saying "traveling to Vault 22, and then taking the elevator to level 5 should cause ED-E to appear next to you" because I tested it on Xbox and it didn't do anything. If it works for someone else's platform then add it back but be specific which platform it worked on.

I'm playing on Xbox. Right now I have the glitch where ED-E is stuck in the entrance to Bloodborne Cave, and I've already slogged through Dead Money. I tried travelling to every level of Vault 22 and it didn't pop him back out, tried Vault 21 as well with no luck. Does anyone else have any suggestions for fixes, besides waiting for a patch which who knows how long it will take them to develop? Going back to a previous save is not a "fix" either. (though it is what I'm angrily contemplating now...) ~Jenny

Hey Vault 22 Always works for me on Xbox360 when I loose a companion so I don't know why it isn't working for you, I'm going to put it back in as a POSSIBLE fix but it appears it doesn't work for everyone. EDIT:Nvm looks like its locked oops! ~Thrasher

Companions: OK so Boone and ED-E followed me to Zion. Jed didn't even comment on them. There was nothing preventing my companions from following me. When we got ambushed, Boone and ED-E didn't even engage in combat. Is this a glitch? (I think it is) Has this happened to anyone else?

I didn't know you could actually bring companions with you into this DLC, so I sent Cass back to the Lucky 38 casino, (I lost ED-E when prompted to have sex with the chick in The Thorn, Red Lucy I think, and ED-E vanished, went to Vault 22, did the elevator trick, no go; does anyone possibly have a fix on getting him back??? Already finished Dead Money BTW.)ScXthursday 05:02, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

Modifications.[]

Please, whoever is replacing the info with twelve-year-old-curses stop. We worked in making that page, and some people want it to complete their game... Eskxhi 05:52, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

LOCK THIS PUPPY DOWN AND SWALLOW THE FRICKIN' KEY!!!

We should mention that the patch that came with Honest Hearts breaks the GECK editor... so if you wanna do editing with the geck, until they release an update, you've gotta use the earlier version. 74.131.186.227 08:10, May 20, 2011 (UTC)

Uh, the patch that added compatibility for Honest Hearts came out a bit before the expansion was released, and they provided a new GECK to go along with it; I'm using said GECK with a fully up-to-date (because Steam won't let me not update) New Vegas with no problems. Maybe you just haven't downloaded the updated GECK yet. 75.81.186.55 02:07, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
The Bethesda GECK page doesn't mention the 1.3 update for FNV. Just click through the regular FNV GECK link and it will open dialogue for the current version: http://fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/downloads/updates-GECK-fnv-eula.php

weight[]

Im on the xbox360 and when i went to start the quest to enter zion, i talked to jed and everything and when i got to he end of talking to him i told him the strong choice and i entered zion being able to carry 270 pounds worth of stuff, is this a glitch? alot of people say you can only carry up to 75lbs or a 100lbs?

I can carry 260lbs worth of stuff it is weird.

If you pass a 50 survival check, you can carry all of your stuff with you.

Crashed Plane??[]

Theres a crashed plane by that Angel cave place is there any information in the DLC about it?Nbyk goughy 11:38, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

-So far I haven't found a way to get to it. I've tried all different angles, jumping up cliffs, etc, and still, no dice. I guess we're not supposed to be able to get there. On a related note, I jumped up the cliffs to get to the The Aerie, not knowing that there was easy access from the river. I thought I had gone all the way around it, I guess I had not- lol.

Table form quest list?[]

Is this forming necessary? Because the quest rewards list sometimes too long for a single table cell. I think the forming should be reverted. --The BuNFi 17:49, May 25, 2011 (UTC)

Q2[]

So it says on the release date for PS3 that it's "Q2". What exactly does that even mean? Kastera (talk) 02:39, May 26, 2011 (UTC)

Depends on Sony, because without Playstation Network, impossible to get. --The BuNFi 20:39, May 26, 2011 (UTC)

It should be releasing this Tuesday or next; or it possibly could have been released today, as there was store maintenence for the Welcome Back program.ScXthursday 05:03, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

Bugs[]

I completed HH with minor problems, even found the Survivalist's Rifle with ease. I'm back in the Mojave and I open the footlocker and get all the neat goodies. I fast travel to the Gun Runners to offload what I got. After I make a big fat barter excgange and back out of conversation, I go to my Pip-Boy and the game freezes, every time. I'm on XBox 360, BTW. Anyone else with the same problem? Any hope of another patch soon?--€;-£ 01:32, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

since iv downloaded honest hearts, im always crashing at the vendetron, and when booting up the game it never loads, so have to use a previous save then reload in game. these are the only problems iv had since the game came out. ziplobthud pop the zip 23:04, May 27, 2011 (UTC)

Level cap[]

What exactly does "Honest Hearts, like Dead Money, raises the level cap by 5" mean? If I have Honest Hearts, but don't have Dead Money, will my level cap be 35 or 40? 83.251.179.226 16:33, May 29, 2011 (UTC)

  • Each DLC raises it by 5. If you only have one, it will only be raised 5. ReapTheChaos 06:08, May 30, 2011 (UTC)

Marked locations.[]

The list of locations is a bit confusing. It lists 53 separate locations, yet two of them don’t exist. “Zion Canyon” is listed, but that’s the entire map. That would be like listing “Mojave wasteland” on the main locations page. Also “Northern Passage” is listed, when that’s actually a location in the Mojave wasteland. Although unusable, it was in the main game prior to the DLC being released.

Lastly, Three Mary’s Cavern is listed, but depending on how you complete the DLC it may or may not get a map marker. If you do the Flight from Zion ending, it doesn’t get a map marker. Perhaps if you explored that area prior to the final quest it may, I would have to do another playthrough to see. At the very least there should be a note made on it. ReapTheChaos 06:12, May 30, 2011 (UTC)

Three Mary's Cavern must be the mysterious map marker that keeps showing up on my compass that I can't seem to find. I've been traveling in circles trying to triangulate it's exact location but it seems to only be visible when I approach it from the south-west. When facing any other direction it won't even appear on my compass. I've already completed Honest Hearts by helping Graham kill the White Legs. Zac hemker 06:39, July 5, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, a big flaw in HH is the fact that alot of locations keep disappearing/reappearing on the mini-map(displayed on screen, bottom left). I keep finding locations that don't showing up at all. This should have been fixed by Bethesda long ago. ((also, if you want to find a location that disappears/reappears, try putting a map marker in the direction of the undiscovered location, in the direction you are facing. that's how i found a couple locations. now, if i could just get to the d*mn downed plane atop the rocks...))August 12, 2011

Victor in Honest Hearts?[]

On the western edge of Zion Canyon map there is a blinking triangle that says Victor, I'm on a 360, anyone else see this? It's directly west of Zion Ranger Station on edge of map!

Same here i think it is a glitch because i see victor were ever i am

Safe Houses Restocked[]

"Once you are able to return to the Mojave by completing Honest Hearts, be sure to check any and all safe houses that you have already been to and recovered equipment from as they will have restocked during your time in Zion. This means another set of T-51b power armor as well as another tesla cannon and so on at the Brotherhood of Steel safe house, more ranger armor and so forth at the NCR Ranger safe house, etc..."

Hold it now, can I get some more details on this? Does this affect all items that are just sitting around in buildings, or just the items in safe houses? As in, if I go back into the silver rush will the center table be full of items again? Because I would love to get a plasma caster; the Van Graffs are dead and I accidentally used the only plasma caster I had to repair a tesla cannon.--FAR-02C 03:41, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

I can't confirm but I am pretty sure it's just the Safe HousesEpzo 05:31, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

The Brotherhood Safehouse does not restock in my game, and the NCR safehouse only partially restocks. Are the NPCs stealing stuff from the shelves?--http://brianranzoni.com 00:20, June 21, 2011 (UTC)

It's not letting me download on PS3[]

So the store finally came back up, and it says for the release that it would be ready today. But I have been trying, and it just keeps saying "This content cannot be accessed by this account." Am I the only one this happened to, or does PS3 just really hate me?

First of all, are you trying to download on a Sub-account or Master...meaning are you 18?? I'm going to assume that you are on a sub account, which if this is the case, go create a Master account and purchase it, and make sure you face a birthday; either that or your in Canada, in which case, you would need to purchase the French DLC add on, not the US(English) version, as there are 2 different flavors for Fallout DLC on the PS3. Also, due to the fact that the PSN just restarted and everyone is attempting to do the same thing at the same time like retards, try to wait a week and download it.ScXthursday 05:07, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

  • Do you know if the Canadian version of Honest Hearts will works with the US version of Fallout: New Vegas? I have the BLUS-30500 version, which I got with the Collector's Edition. I know they had this problem with Dead Money after Sony or Bethesda changed the available versions and Canadians no longer had access to the US version. Apparently it got fixed and those with US version game discs could download the Canadian version of Dead Money and it worked. I was fortunate enough to download it when they still offered the US version but now I'm unsure about Honest Hearts. I really want the expansion but don't want to download it just to have to get a refund or wait until a patch came out that allow it to work in the same way as the Canadian version of Dead Money.--Demon971 16:39, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

PS3 Version broken[]

Somehow the newest DLC is horrendously broken, with a chance of removing all New Vegas DLC you may have on your system. I guess i'll just forget about all that Dead Money stuff i used to have...

Delete the Game data for Fallout new vegas. Go to Game-->Game Data Utility-->press triangle-->Delete. That should clear it up to a point where the system prompt you to reupdate the game. That or you can put the system into safe mode (turn off the system and hold the power button for 3 beeps, release it, then do it again, and youll hear a quick double beep after the second one.) Once in safe mode, select option 3 to restore the file system, then try again. Also, you can try to redownload all the DLC you purchase by going into your Download List. Go to Account Management-->Transaction Management-->Download List. You should see it there. The final option; back up all your precious save data onto a external HDD and reformat the HDD. Settings-->System Settings-->Restore PS3 System and select full restore, yeah it may take more than 10 minutes to format, but depending on the size of your HDD it could take anywhere from 1 hour to 16 hours. If you dont have the patience for this, go trade the system in for a Xbox 360. The game is less buggy on that console.

  • Unnecessary (and unbelievable). Do you have any bonus add on pack DLCs? Classic Pack? Well, that's your problem right there. All you had to do was delete the classic pack and reinstall the Canadian version and everything appears and works fine. Trading in for an Xbox (over one game nonetheless) is not the answer. In fact, the Xbox seems to be really buggy too (especially if you start your character over, has non-stop freezing). --Demon971 16:25, June 4, 2011 (UTC)
  • I had the same problem I just went into game data utility and deleted the Fallout New Vegas DlC (Can) and it worked. Hope this helps.--Skipbomber 19:27, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

Steadily dwindling wildlife.[]

Since I first played Honest hearts I have made about 6-8 trips back over about 100 hours of game time to gather plant life as well as green gecko hides. I have noticed a steady decline in the wildlife on each return visit. On this last visit, after circling the entire map twice, the only wildlife I encountered was one green gecko, two ants and two mantises.

I’m curious if anyone else has encountered this and if it’s a bug or by design? When I played the quest River Monsters, I choose to destroy the Yao Guai cave, so that might explain why there is none of them, but I cant think of any explanation for the other creatures. ReapTheChaos 07:40, June 16, 2011 (UTC)

well if you lead the sorrows out of Zion the ending slide show says the white legs polluted and trash the place pollution + trash = zion slowly dieing its a shame really i never did blow up the yua gui

cave anyway plus i think that would increase the gecko population next time dont blow up the cave and kill all the white legs

Cover art[]

It keeps reminding me of recent movie poster for Hanna: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm827753728/tt0993842; I'm sure they're not really related, but it's a bit uncanny. Fernling 12:34, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

Weight not accounted for[]

When I drop everything in my inventory that has weight, I still have 24 ponds on me that I don't know where it is coming from. I do have some quest items with weight (great khans supply cash, sergeant teddy, retroactive supply cash, and caravan deck)but I read that this weight doesn't really get added into your total and even with all these there are still two pounds unaccounted for. On top of that, when I took the supply cashes to the person, my weight didn't go down. Any idea on what is going on? Getting my weight down to 75 is hard enough without the mysterious weight of air counting against me. Zefiewings 16:27, June 28, 2011 (UTC)

I figured it out. Turned out that my lead was weighing me down. Dropped it and all is well. Zefiewings 18:36, June 28, 2011 (UTC)

New bug?[]

I finished Honest Hearts a long time ago around Level 19, now I'm currently Level 40. Today I decided to revisit Zion, 5 in-game months after I finished Honest Hearts.

Only to notice I was gaining XP. I quit the game to open Fraps and take a screenshot (PC), but now I opened the game again and my Pip-Boy shows my XP is MAX. Before it was 120000 out of 125000 or something near that.

Very weird. K1LL 22:39, July 2, 2011 (UTC)

Bighorner calf quest[]

I've reloaded the DLC for Honest Hearts 6 times and everytime I start up the mountain to search for the bighorner calf it tells me that I killed 1 of 9 bighorner. I haven't even seen one yet and I left my companion back in the cave with Joshua, has anyone had this issue or know why it's causing this?

One of the Bighorners may have fallen off the cliffs. You should try to reload and try again. User:Great_MaraUser talk:Great_Mara 20:49, July 17, 2011 (UTC)

Map and Compass Bugs[]

I decided to go green gecko hunting a little while ago. After I get to Zion via the Southern Passage. I get the hollow triangle indicating locations I haven't found. So I start heading in their general directions and after a few yards, they disappear. Anyone else having this problem? Hell, anyone got a pic of a completed map for Zion? -Malus X 04:39, July 25, 2011 (UTC)

See my post under Map Locations.

Too short[]

I walked in and out of that add-on in about 10-15 minutes. Killing people I didn't realise were integral to the story because they showed up as bad prats. Bit disappointed in that respect but all the same, at least I can go back there and rob the place blind unlike Dead Money. Which is what I really want to loot!

play time[]

anybdoy know how many game hours is added by this dlc in completing these quests?(obviously this would be a very rough estimate since it varies person to person how quickly they do it)

was hoping the dart gun would return here, or something similar anyway. oh well

Note or Bug? nonaggression: White Legs[]

I believe if the player does not attack a White Leg the tribe will remain non-aggressive to the player and or any companions.--Sativarg 22:43, November 9, 2011 (UTC)

Spawn right in face bug[]

Am I the only one having problems with enemies spawning dead ahead of me? It's not so bad if it's a mole rat or an ant, but having a giant fucking cazador spawn in front of me bothers me a lot. Does this only happen to me?

Ghost of She[]

It is classified as a creature; however, on its page, the character infobox is used to allow for more information to be shown. It is not an "animal character". There's no such thing. 69.l25 (talk) 12:00, November 12, 2013 (UTC)

Departing Paradise - Time Travelling[]

I recently noticed that my in-game time was suddenly like 11 months ahead of what it used to be. Therefore I checked some older savegames, and found out that leaving Zion back to the Mojave warps me fast forward in time... Is this intentional? Why does this take 11 months?! Not that I bother, I'm just curious.

Suggsted level[]

All the other DLC has a suggested level before starting, is there one for this DLC too? --108.173.141.140 04:49, May 19, 2015 (UTC)
