Female Haley[]

Haley was a chick in my game. Also, I think the Tribals killed her when they raided the pier. The Protectron was dead when I went back after finishing the main quest (I didn't kill all of the Tribals on my way through, I just killed the ones in my way and fast traveled back to Calvert Mansion), and I haven't seen her at all. Is there anyone else who runs a shop in Point Lookout? >.<--Niksilp 21:34, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Naw, your thinking of Panada. Haley's a black guy in a red jumpsuit. Panada's a hispanic chick in a Merc Charmer outfit. She also has a red-painted Protectron. Nitpicker of the Wastes 21:36, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Then where is Haley's Hardware? xD I need someone else I can sell to, since Panada up and died pretty quickly on me.--Niksilp 00:29, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
east of Panada's shop and she died in my game to because she was killed by Smugglers (i was there)

Holotape at the frontdoor[]

Anyone pick this up? I did and it gave me nothing.. Nothing in the misc inventory or notes section of the pipboy. PJ

Actually, it's a duplicate of the one at the lighthouse. Nitpicker of the Wastes 19:13, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

In my playthrough, I discovered the holotape about the lighthouse next to the front door of Haley's first. Then, climbing up the lighthouse, I found a "Holotape" without a title, that could not be listened to, nor did it appear in my inventory/Notes section. Either there's a bug with this, or the first one you find is the one that works...

I had found the holotape on the lighthouse first, and upon picking up the one near Haley's Hardware, it did not do anything to my notes. I'm pretty sure the game just registers notes once, and if you already picked it up, it won't do anything anyways. Make sure to read it when you do, though, since it doesn't move it to the front either. El Dorito 16:28, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

Glitch?[]

On the Alien blaster page there is a reference to a Point Lookout Haley's Hardware glitch that can repair the Blaster to almost 100% for "nearly free". Can somebody fill me in and/or put it into the main article? Sweat from my balls! 17:57, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Check out the Haley page for that glitch PhayzeShift 19:15, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Dogmeat Bug[]

Dogmeat (Fallout 3) appeared randomly in front of the door to Haley's Hardware after repeatedly revisiting it for the 100% repair glitch (Xbox 360). Dogmeat will not leave Point lookout even when using the speech option telling him to wait at Vault 101 and has an insane amount of health.PhayzeShift 19:19, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Update: I fixed this by asking Dogmeat to follow me and then used the Duchess to go back to the Capital Wasteland where I got a pop-up saying "Dogmeat has returned to Vault 101". PhayzeShift 17:04, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Bug; Merc's/smuggelers[]

I just tested it, he says Merc's, and it is subtitled mercs. Tedjuh10 - Talk 14:24, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

On the xbox he says Merc's but it's subtitled smugglers.--24.207.14.255 11:57, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

$$$/%%%[]

This is what I did to get ALL my unique weapons, armor and guns to 100%.

1. Kill Enclave till I got about 100 Plasma Rifles/Plasma Pistols, 100 Sets of Enclave/Hellfire/Tesla Armor 2. Go to Fort Independence and sell all of the guns and armor to the exchange (walk from Tenpenny Tower carrying it all) 3. Sell all the Armor and get roughly about 6000 Stipacks. 4. Kill Protector Casdin, or whoever you sell it to. 5. Carry your newly 100% mint condition armor and guns. 6. Put them somewhere in your suite. 7. Sell them to whoever buys them. 8. Get roughly 150k Caps. 9. Carry all your weapons and armor after doing the Haily's Hardware glitch and all your weapons are now 100% after repairing. - CW

And who do you sell to who has 150,000 caps?

Seems easier to just repair what you can repair with your own skill, since it's not hard to get a repair of 100 (or all skills to 100 with 30 levels &/or some books). Just pay him the caps to repair stuff like guass rifle, t-51b (non-winterized), firelance, etc. Have a few fully repaired regular plasma rifles that you fixed yourself and sell them to him to get your caps back. 75.172.241.156 17:10, September 10, 2009 (UTC

Because of the poverty of the majority of vendors in the game, its typically best to carry small amounts of loot with you, priced in total no more than 500 caps (the typical max that most vendors regen with), but buying from those vendors will allow them to keep the caps you give them, so they only regenerate money when they have very little. El Dorito 16:31, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

Or you could use the glitch to get all your caps back seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=162v07WgkQ0 —Preceding comment was unsigned. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Well that only really works once, seeing as you kill Protector Casdin. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 14:02, October 16, 2010 (UTC)

Repair Glitch Glitch?[]

I was building Haleys repair skill up when after it hit 77% it reset to 50%. Odd. I also found that sometimes his repair wouldn't increase - I restarted the 360 to fix this although maybe a game restart (confirmed :-) may have been sufficient. It's great to be able to repair Gauss Rifle, Chinese Stealth Armour etc though.

Plcpress 09:00, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

Actually the Chinese Stealth Armor can be repaired using the recon armor which is somewhat hard to come by, but better than blowing all your caps with the repairs from caravans. Someone please tell me how to use this glitch with repairing 100% for nearly nothing at haley's hardware?

Yup, you can fix the Chinese Steahl Armor with recon armor. For Haley: 1- DO NOT SHOOT AT HIM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!! 2- Do the glitch: go inside, check his repair skill, then go outside the nuka cola machine and open it (don't take anything), go inside again and so on. Eventually you'll get 100% repair skill. But he's an expensive repairman!!, so scam him after you fix everything with another glitch (that works with any vendor): 3- You need a set of 3 armor/outfits OF THE SAME TYPE (e.g. 3 laser guns). One of them in 100% condition, another in lousy condition and another in between. Sell him the one with 100% condition and the one in between, keep the one in lousy condition for you. Close the dialog and start a new dialog with him, check his inventory, and you'll have the gun/armor in lousy condition and he'll have 2 guns/armos in better condition than yours. Now, sell him your item in lousy condition, the arrow will appear and you HAVE to hit the square button (in ps3) to close the deal and get the caps. DON'T CLOSE THE DIALOG!! immediately buy from him the SAME item (gun armor) with the lowest condition again, now it should appear the arrow with the caps, close the deal, and in your inventory should appear the item, but with a different price (actually higher than the price you bought it), now, sell it again and close the deal, get the caps, go to his inventory, get the lowest priced gun/armor, buy it, close the deal, and so on. This is a very known glitch, you can check it on youtube. But don't listen to the guy who said that shooting at him with the gauss rifle you can take his things, I did that and ended up with an angry Haley that is not being friendly anymore, even if I put my gun away or wait for days in another location.

Enemies at spawn point of Haley`s Hardware.[]

xbox.

  • Don`t make the mistake as I did of attracting a Scrapper and Tracker from the bridge to Haley`s Hardware and killing them outside of Haleys Hardware. Every time I fast travel there from the Wasteland for the 100% repair of the Firelance and Blaster they will be waiting outside the immediate spawn point for you.You will spawn right on top of the Scrapper while the Tracker is waiting by the Cola machine fence. --1000HrsFallout3 (talk) 05:35, March 13, 2013 (UTC)
