Merge this with a game mechanics article? --Vault01 14:57, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, sure as long as we put a redirect in place. I played this game >50% though before I even KNEW you could pick up items like that. - Ashran111 15:15, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Same. :P I accidentally activated it and had a Giant Ant corpse follow me to the Super Duper Mart. Anywho, back on topic. I would do it myself, but being relatively new here, I have no idea how to make a redirect. --Vault01 15:18, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Here's (http://www.fandom.com/wiki/Help:Redirect) how to do it, but I don't know what page you guys are talking about. NeonKow 12:21, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Cover[]

Can grabbing the bodies of larger corpses work for cover? Smuff [The cake is a lie.] 19:03, December 2, 2010 (UTC)

It works with barrels, it should work with bodies. Mictlantecuhtli 19:14, December 2, 2010 (UTC)
I managed to get by the sentries in the That Lucky Old Sun quest by using a barrel for cover. :D --CptMuddles 13:53, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

I tried using a creature corpse, but only ended up shooting through the limb that was blocking my gun. I think it could work, but I'm not sure The Courier can grab and walk with something large enough to be significant. Enemies can still blow off limbs, or shot around where you're not protected. - 4/28/2017

Physics error in Fallout: New Vegas?[]

I'm finding that some objects in Fallout: New Vegas (Deathclaw Hands, the Acoustic Guitar) move around in circles, sometimes slowly and sometimes quickly, for no reason at all. I assume this is a problem with the physics of the game with certain objects - could someone else confirm this? --CptMuddles 13:53, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Fallout 4[]

I haven't had a chance to play Fallout 4 yet because I am still waiting for it to be delivered so could anyone confirm whether it is in Fallout 4 and then obviously add it to the article. LS11sVaultBoy (Talk) 10:54, November 10, 2015 (UTC)

I'm not sure, but since it uses the same engine of Beth's another game i.e TESV, I'm pretty sure there is one, the button for that would probably be "E". ------Cassie Sparkle Neko. ✿ ≽^•⩊•^≼ · 𓃠 · ฅ^>⩊<^ ฅ 14:53, November 10, 2015 (UTC)

Fallout 4 has additional controls that can change the orientation of the grabbed object. Using a controller the aim/block and fire buttons rotates the object around the selected axis, the sprint button changes the axis of rotation.

For PC players it's left and right mouse buttons to rotate the object in one direction or the other and the shift key to alter the axis of rotation. --ffs (talk) 12:27, March 26, 2016 (UTC)

Console[]

The page says that there doesn't seem to be a console command to improve this;

I'm pretty sure that "setgs fgrabmaxweightrunning" and "setgs fgrabmaxweightwalking" each followed by a high number (basically, a bunch of 9's) can allow movement of many objects previously "too heavy". This works in Fallout 4, though I haven't tried it on every item. I recall being able to do this in Fallout 3, even allowing the lifting of cars, though I cannot recall if it was the same command.

For comparison, if you type "getgs fmaxgrabweightwalking" in Fallout 4 you will get a result of 100, and for "getgs fgrabmaxweightrunning" you will get 50. I don't know what these equate to, but it seems that in the base game, your walking grab power allows you to carry double.Mrsuperhappy (talk) 00:37, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
