The reason I added they were the first to vanish is because in the holotape it says "ate each other to death" in past tense. This means they are no more by the time of this recording. But since it doesn't specify about the other gangs' fate I guess it is better to leave it ambiguous as it now is. --Ryon21

- All is good, I just read that part and asked myself "How do we know that they were the first to vanish?" Checked for dates for all three extinct gangs, didn't found any. Placing any of the gangs ahead of the others is too far a stretch imho, especially when considering that eating one another was against the gang's code. So far we only have two outsiders (Frank the Cuttroat and Rose) making that claim, but not actual proof that they really ended themselves this way.
- In the same way, the Gourmand's note states their members continued to disappear after Morris and Edie were already exiled. So I think it is best to state that we don't know the "how", only that they did vanish. –Findabair
