The ramshackle appearance of this weapon actually reminds me of the Volt Driver (aka. "Hellbreath") Railgun from the Metro 2033/Last Light games, anyone else think that this might be a reference to that?--BattleBen (talk) 08:46, November 26, 2015 (UTC)

Nope, it's not. They just copied the design(though I should probably note that Volt Driver is a railgun and not a gauss cannon) because older gauss cannon we got used to wasn't "scrappy" enough. The guy who modeled it probably doesn't even remember where he had seen it before. 80.94.160.227 13:16, November 26, 2015 (UTC)

Revision as of 13:16, 26 November 2015

Skylines Flight 1981 did not contain any gauss rifles for me. I got 3 Automatic Laser Pistols instead. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.76.102.25 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

It's probably the same situation as with Skyrim. Sometimes even items out in the open are generated randomly from a list of items, possibly influenced by the player level. Once the G.E.C.K. is out such things can be checked more readily. --Alfwyn (talk) 10:17, November 20, 2015 (UTC)

Gauss or rail?

Magnetic accelerators come and go in many types and this one looks more like it's using rails instead of coils. ````

Effective perks and magazines?

What perks and periodicals affect the damage of this item? I'm pretty sure certain rifleman does but I already had it maxed by the time I carried this weapon. But does it count as ballistic, energy, heavy weapons, none of the above? can the various magazines affect the damage? I feel like once we know more it might be worthwhile to list these perks and possibly magazines in the article somewhere. Being one of the top damaging weapons in the game I'm certain people are going to come here to learn how to max out this weapon

Volt Driver Reference?
