Unused ending slides[]

I've marked all the unused ending slides as cut content ... and it just got reverted. Oh, and even the obviously wrong Shady Sands image got reverted as well ... Seems some people need to replay the game again (imagine a big eye-rolling smiley here). MrLexx2k (talk) 08:32, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

Thanks. This is very useful.

If I may make one suggestion, though: it would be useful if you mentioned the prerequisites of each ending. I.e. "Shady Sands ending 1: Don't kill Aradesh, rescue Tandi, don't enter Shady Sands more than 400 days into the game," or whatever does it. Jules 04:20, 29 Mar 2005 (BST)

The Hub[]

I have never gotten any ending but the second. Does anyone know what you do to get the first? -WCFrancis 22:38, 5 Aug 2005 (CEST)

  • From what I've read, it may not be possible to get the good ending. I got the bad ending on my first playthrough, and after searching all over, I've not come across anyone who has managed to get the good ending. Sith Alchemy 101 23:01, June 3, 2011 (UTC)
  • To further elaborate, the closest thing to a "good" ending the player can get for the Hub is simply for the city not to be mentioned in the epilogue. For this to occur, it seems that the player must either never go to the Hub, or complete the missing caravan quest and not return there after 140 days have passed. If the player does return, the bad ending will occur. Sith Alchemy 101 12:19, June 7, 2011 (UTC)

Junktown endings[]

The part about the endings being changed because the marketing department decided at the last minute that the game had to "reward good and punish bad" is not speculative BS. It's actually what Jesse Heinig, the developer who wrote those endings, said in the Fallout Bible. Ausir 00:15, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Anybody know a mod to change the junktown endings back? That and fix the bugged follower's one. would be greatly appreciated. the game feels more complete and better that way

The Overseer[]

I thought him surviving was established as canon. Was it disproven? --Christengo (talk) 05:16, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

FOTA good ending audio[]

The audio for this on the Wiki seems to be broken, the voice is really sped up that it sounds like a chipmunk talking.

Is killian really canon[]

Is there a source on Killian being the canon choice? I don't remember new vegas mentioning him directly. Also, in fo3, new vegas and fo4 there are skill books that mention the success of junktown as a bartering center. This would imply that gizmo is the canon choice, wouldn't it? Killian kills trading afterall. And in the vault dweller memories he says that in junktown he was "a bad person". Now, killing a kingpin after gathering solid evidence and with the back up of the town's enforcers doesn't sound as something evil to me.--Damx (talk) 10:49, January 29, 2020 (UTC)

Agree that we need a specific citation for that. For now, I've reinstated it on the page with a citation needed note. Leave this for a bit and if no one can come up with the direct reference, we can remove the note. --L84tea Tea kettleWould you like a cup of tea? 12:25, January 29, 2020 (UTC)
