Cut but not cut Edit

Some of these things are in the game and used in the game, but weren't intended for inventory, instead they were how the devs implemented some things.

The Nuke gun and it's ammo are what's fired from the Yangtze. They needed to actually have a weapon in game so that it could have damage and other stats, but to have the weapon it needed other info like a model, so they just copy/pasted the Broadsider stuff and changed what they needed to. Yes, you can add it to inventory with commands, and no you can't find one normally, but that doesn't mean it's not in the game.

Same thing with the Mortar. There's three different Mortar guns that seem to vary in range based on their IDs. They all look like Broadsiders. Same thing, though, they are what's fired from the Artillery piece that you can build in settlements. The devs needed an actual weapon that could deal damage in order to make the artillery function properly. It's not cut, just not an obtainable weapon. Do things like this qualify to be on the page? --Xernoc (talk) 21:07, January 1, 2016 (UTC)

That's interesting. The voice only NPCs used for some holotapes are probably on the same level. Wonder if we should have something else for stuff that is only partly used and behind the scenes. --Alfwyn (talk) 21:41, January 1, 2016 (UTC)
I'd imagine all that's needed (if needed) is a note on the respective pages. Well, the NPCs I'm not sure about because we seem to give whole pages to "mentioned-only characters", but the weapons we could probably just leave a note on the Yangtze page and the Artillery piece page and call it good. --Xernoc (talk) 21:47, January 1, 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, for moving it from this page. But I'm also looking for a way to mark that stuff on the page itself and various overview pages clearly as non-regular weapons/encounterable content. Marking it as cut content served that purpose. --Alfwyn (talk) 21:54, January 1, 2016 (UTC)
Gotcha. Yeah, not sure of a different or better way off the top of my head. It can probably stay for now so it's all in one place. --Xernoc (talk) 22:05, January 1, 2016 (UTC)

I guess this should be placed on a different page, similar to Fallout 3 non-player weapons. Just saying. ☢ Energy X ☣ 23:29, January 1, 2016 (UTC)

--- Found a almost completely cut NPC. "Adrienne" only references are a marker in sanctuary named "Min01AdrienneTalkMarker" and a couple follower command references in Min01. Unrelated, there is also a single enablemarker named "Vault120EscapePodParent" north of Fort Strong. Are these enough to go on to count as "cut" since there's really no telling what they are? Buffout addictionEdit

Why is buffout addiction marked as cut? Appears to be in the game? 12/27/17 Again Dejavu (talk) 01:56, December 28, 2017 (UTC)

You're right, that's a mistake. It should have said "buffjet addiction". I've fixed it. Thanks for noting!

FishermanEdit

Why is fisherman included in this list? Isn't he at the lake outside covenant? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.47.95.252 (talkcontribs) 22:35, July 17, 2018 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

There are three fishermen: one at Covenant, one in Far Harbor, and one that was cut from the game. The third one is mentioned in the list of cut characters, but someone added a link to the first one. Whoops. I've removed the link.
