Stats[]

Since this armor has 50 DR and 2000 HP, doesn't that make it just as good as the T-51b?--173.24.160.179 13:35, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

That's more or less correct. The T-51b has an extra +10% rad resistance, and the helmet has +1 CHR. This has +30% fire resistance and the helmet has -1 CHR. Unless you care a LOT about radiation, or you're too lazy to take off the helmet when talking/bartering, this is the superior option. PositronicSpleen 13:48, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
It's a shame this armor can't be repaired either (save by merchants). -- Porter21 (talk) 13:56, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
Well, Charisma is the most useless SPECIAL stat for combat, and Radiation Resistance can reach the max of 85% with this armor and the right perks, and it's repairable. So, yes, it is better. 68.192.9.90 22:37, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

Wait, Hellfire armor isn't repairable? Can that be verified? Wanderer Lao 14:56, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Can be repaired by other Hellfire Power Armor, atleast I can on XBOX360. Don't have it on PC so cannot verify it works for non-360 users.

~But where can you find more Hellfire to repair it with after you *Spoiler* blow up the Enclave base?

I beat the game and the Enclave is still set up at camps around the Capital Wasteland. It may not be realistsc but I'm glad they're not completely gone.--173.24.160.179 16:05, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Do these camps respawn, or not? Wanderer Lao 00:30, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

The camps keep respawning, Just go to rockbreakers and then enclave base and you will easily get more armor.

I don't reccomend going directly to Rockbreaker's you'll spawn in a world of instant pain. Go to Five Axle's Rest Stop and own the sleeping raiders with a frag, then go south, watch out for some super mutants, then pick off the hapless Enclave and that huge rock. OR go to the sniper shack and get Sneak attack crits.

I don't know if anyone has found this out, But it seems all the Enclave armor can be virtually impenetrable with a Certain armor glitch. I use Enclave hellfire armor, But i carry 2 sets of the armor, And while i wear a fully Capped 100% repaired helmet and body, The other set takes the brunt of the damage during combat, But even better, if you get the armor down to broke, It still retains a minimal amount of DR, making it still take Damage for the fully repaired one, Technically, T-51B, Just..twice the weight =D--Nosferus 03:00, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

I think the best armor, is a combo, use this + the T-51b helmet, more rad resistance than the hellfire, still has the + 1 Special buff, and only for the 5 inch add on your dick -- smashedsaturn

2 Hellfire Armors[]

I just noticed that there are two diffrent pages about one the same armor:

http://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Hellfire_Power_Armor

http://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Enclave_Hellfire_Armor

I would have mailed this to an Admin so that he/she could fix this, but I diddn't know how, sorry ^^

Well, the first one redirects to the second :) -- Porter21 (talk) 08:20, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

NOTES[]

Protector Cassidan will NOT accept Hellfire armor from the player as it cannot be given

Hmm[]

Try combining the Hellfire body, with T-51b head, to maximize effectiveness. //--TehK 02:22, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

I like this armor with Ledoux's Hockey Mask.

Evil walking Tin Can![]

Armor is sick big and is just like T51-B and more easy to find

But the armor is like a tin can walking around killing people

RUN ITS THE EVIL TIN CAN!

BEST ARMOR THOUGH

LOL[]

Few comments about this, it kinda reminds me of the COG armor in Gears of War how the legs are kinda large. Also, the helmet looks like a robotic pig. My friend laughed so hard when he first saw it. Then Fawkes went crazy and started killing some Hellfire troopers, and my friend said "Go, Fawkes! Kill the piggy!" It is extremely powerful but it just doesn't have that upper body look to it like the Tesla power armor, or the T-51b power armor. This is either the coolest power armor in the game or the funniest. Either way, I like it. FawkesGamer360 00:30, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

You gotta admit the helm does look like a robotic pig its freaking funny Salty Demon 20:54, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Nah, it looks far more like 'space-marine' armour from the warhammer 40,000 universe. take a gander at that helmet and then this... http://mini-studio.darkartminiatures.com/myPictures/ebay_mortificator_head.jpg 81.155.18.124 14:00, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

i think the hellfire helmet looks like a cat wearing a gas mask.

Put on a headwrap, get a beard, wear this armor (excluding helmet) and call yourself Marcus Fenix

LOL[]

Hellfire armor is repairable with other hellfire armor lol. ;)

DR System[]

I wish we still had that damage threshold from the old Fallouts, if someone shoots at you with a BB GUN while you're wearing this it still penetrates.

Hellfire = Lancer?[]

I saw this concept art picture today and noticed how much the lancer armor in it looks like the Hellfire armor. Thoughts? http://s460.photobucket.com/albums/qq326/DELTA_1551/armor2.jpg 75.6.176.201 04:21, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

That's just a bad scan from the artbook for Fo3 with annotations made in paint. The names are entirely non-canon. 15px-Scribe.jpg Tagaziel (call!) 07:04, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
The name might be fake, but the picture (minus annotations!) should probably be added to the article. Nitty Tok. 20:25, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Hellfire helmet[]

Console spawn code is xx001080 for this one.

good job Bethesda![]

I like that they finally shown armor better than T51b showing that the Enclave have stronger armor than the BOS as in fallout 2...kinda feel sorry for BOS (D.C) only having on set of T51b tho Onikage01 20:47, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

When I was outside adams airforce base, I saw Enclave soldiers and brotherhood soldiers fighting. when they die, they respawn. I was able to get unlimited hellfire armor (and holotags) by killings these guys and then coming back.

T-51b isn't BOS though, it's pre-war US army power armor.--81.156.107.250 17:21, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

Its not really more powerful same DR only more repairable..But aesthetically it looks more advance...Besides that not much difference.

This armor is kinda ok....for now heeeheeeheee[]

This armor is to ugly to look at well the helmet is.This armor has good DR but i prefer to keep light armor I only use power armor when taking on REALLY DANGEROUS FOES LIKE REAVERS OR ALBINOS OR REALLY DANGEROUS MISSIONS aside from that no use for me............

found this armor in front of deathclaw sanctuary waay to early[]

I found a complete set of this armor in front of the deathclaw sanctuary on a dead enclave soldier before I've even been to jefferson memorial. This bug is probably introduced by Broken Steel DLC, cause enclave soldiers shouldn't appear until you proceed further with the main quest. I repaired it using Crazy Wolfgang. WRFan 00:29, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

I can confirm this, it happened to me, too on the PS3 before completing waters of life (or tranquility lane), and just after hitting lvl 20 and installing Broken Steel DLC. I'd just got the bobblehead in DCS and when I came out there was an Enclave Soldier at the top of the canyon wearing Hellfire armor. In my case, he was alive, but easy sneak kill.

BoS Armor + Enclave Armor = Hellfire Armor?[]

I think the Hellfire armor looks like a cross between the Enclave armor and the BoS armor but it makes the armor look cool and I love this armor! Anyone else see the Enclave and BoS armor in the Hellfire? --Chiefsean16 15:30, January 3, 2010 (UTC)

One Thing that bothers me[]

Thing that bothers me is that this armor is just T-51-b spray painted black turned into a walking block of Enclave and some metal removed and swiched out for ceramics to make it more fire resistant. Would it have been to much to ask for something a bit larger that made you roughly the size of a basic Super Mutant and looked extreamly mechanical. Personally I always though this was the Enclaves heavy duty human tank power armor but the stats never added up so i eventualy moded it to be much stronger. My stats were along the lines of this:

Enclave Hellfire Armor

DR: 60

Item HP: 2000

Weight: 60

Value: 1200

Effects: +2 Strenght, +2 Endurance, -2 Agilty, +25 Radiation Resistance, +40 Fire Resistance and 100 Lb of your back.

Enclave Hellfire Helmet

DR: 15

Item HP: 300

Weight: 10

Value: 400

Effects: 15 AP, -2 Charisma, +5 Radiation Resistance, +10 Fire Resistance

This may be overpowered but it fits in a bit better considering that this was made for a Enclave heavy shock trooper. And if they do concider the T-51-b which ingame is on par with the standard Hellfire armor to be out date and useless then why not make something better than it. They should be able to with all the tech, skill and resources.

I have also been trying to make a mod that makes a more cooler, larger, bulkyer version to match with my stats and ideas.

If anything, those should be the stats of the regular Enclave power armor, without the AG penalty. Forget the Hellfire suit, the Advanced Power Armor MKII used in F3 should be infinitely better than the T-51b. Nitty Tok. 22:09, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
How much DR do you need? My melee character has 44 DR naked. I could get 85 DR with Ranger Combat Armor and Ledeaux's Hockey Mask, but I use winterized t51-B instead because, hey, it's indestructible (so is the hockey mask, go figure). Plus, overkill is fun. And any set of armor + helmet that gives you 75 DR is defintely overkill in this system.76.123.120.56 08:05, July 16, 2010 (UTC)

Changes to Notes[]

Just removed the following sections from the notes.

  • No explanation has been given in the game for how the Enclave produced Hellfire power armor. The Brotherhood of Steel's power armor consists entirely of obsolete T-45d models, which were replaced by the T-51b model shortly before the Great War, and the Enclave used advanced power armor Mk.II and Tesla power armor.

Why is this section neccesary? Is just says what Power Amour the Bos and Enclave use and says no explaination for manufacture is given which is obvious because it would be in the main article if there was an explaination.

  • Hellfire power armor resembles a combination of the T-45d and advanced power armor Mk. II designs, and is presumably new and exclusive to the East Coast Enclave operation. The Enclave was either inspired by the older T-45d design and incorporated it into the new model, or was restricted to less advanced manufacturing techniques which forced designers to abandon the aesthetics of previous Enclave armors in favor of more utilitarian approaches.

This is pure speculation, why would the Enclave be 'inspired' by the T-45d power armour, Hellfire supposedly shares similar aesthetics to the T-45d, that cannot be enough to say it is somehow based on it surely, T-45d is inferior to Advanced PowER Armour and I see no reason why there is a link between them.

If manufacturing techniques are restricted then why is it superior to regular power armour, the Adavanced Power Armour, " By 2277, the Enclave redesigned its appearance while keeping the ceramic composition and the "advanced power armor Mk II" designation" from advanced power armor implies that all Advanced Power Armor mk II in fallout 3 is newly manufactured, just because they were added in Broken steel does not mean they were being made at Adams Air Force Base. Adam James Walker 01:07, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

I was under the impression that at this point both the bos and the enclave could produce armor, at the very leastt the enclave. Didnt they make the armor for frank horrigan? ralok 01:31, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

the reason i think APA maybe so messed up was that Bethesda may have mixed up Advanced Power Armor from tactics with the enclaves, The "lancer concept armor" does look incredibly similar Hellfire Armor24.178.85.94 03:34, October 11, 2010 (UTC)SUPERSTUDS

History[]

Hellfire developement should be added/updated to match the ED-E history. According to Whitley, working on ED-E, his project was canceled to allocate recourses to the Hellfire project, appearently also being developed at Adams Airfore Base. --Radnus 81.205.186.16 21:44, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

                                .

Warhammer 40k?[]

Is it just me, or this armor is more or less based on the Space Marines from Warhammer 40k?

While wearing a fully repaired suit i found out that it was getting damaged even though i had an extra siut in the inventory.

Ugly as heck[]

I must admit, this might be the ugliest power armor I've ever seen. Like, it just looks bad. 87 VEF (talk) 08:57, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
