When a Cosmic Knife just doesn't cut it.[]

So who else thinks one of these bad boys in your Lucky 38 Presidential Suite would be a bitchin reward for the completion of Dead Money.

Agreed

Fewer items?[]

Is it just me or can you make less stuff on an electric hot plate?

Ingredient in making Super-heated Cosmic Knife?[]

Is the "Active Electric Hot Plate" used in making the Cosmic Knife Super-Heated? If so, is it a required ingredient (along with the Cosmic Knife, Forceps, and Pilot Light)? Or is it just used as a 'campfire' to make the Super-Heated Knife?

It might be helpful to the readers if this article clarifies how the "Active Electric Hot Plate" is used in making the Cosmic Knife Super-Heated. In addition, if it is used as a substitute to a campfire -- then, by ommission, the reader may assume that means the AE Hot Plate can be used to craft everything that can be crafted at a regular campfire. If this is not the case, it may be helpful for this article to clarify just what the AE Hot Plate is used for.

The regular "Hot Plate" article indicates that it takes the "Active Electric Hot Plate" - NOT the regular Hot Plate - to make the Cosmic Knife Super-Heated. So, that appears to contradict the "Cosmic Knife Super-Heated" article.

The "Cosmic Knife Super-Heated" article indicates that a "Hot Plate" is a required ingredient (but does not clarify whether it is a regular or the AE version). Because of the way the article is written, the reader would be just in assuming the article means a 'regular' Hot Plate and that it is used as an actual ingredient, along with the Pilot Light and the Forceps, etc. If that is not the case, then the "Cosmic Knife Super-Heated" article needs to be clarified.

Answer: To make a "Cosmic Knife Super-Heated" you use a workbench. A "Hot Plate" is one of the ingredients used to make it, and can be picked up, added to your inventory, and used as an ingredient at a workbench. There is no way to pick up an "Active Electric Hot Plate".

Why isn't there somthing like the hotplate for the Lucky 38 Presidential suite[]

It always bugged my that despite being able to buy all kinds of extra stuff for the Presidential suite you have no way to actually cook food in it. I understand the many potential hazards presented by having a campfire indoors and why there wouldn't be one but with the introduction of working hotplates in Dead Money i wondered; "why cant i have something like that for my suite?".

What I can't understand is why there isn't one of these in the abandoned Bos Bunker since it seems to have everything else: Work Bench, reloading bench, bed, storage, cloud residue sample, and even a vending machine. And how come none of the ovens in any location work? It seems like at least one of the houses somewhere would have a working oven considering everyone has cookware lying around. Completely in agreement! There should have been a e.hotplate added to the L38 Pres. Suite Terminal Store after completing DM same thing the reloading bench in the vanilla game why not? maybe they were cut due to it being considered too much "convenience" in the wasteland? Item incorrectly named[]

Um, there's a fairly glaring error here. The proper name of this item is "Electric Hot Plate" not "Active Electric Hot Plate." When you cursor over this object, the interactive option reads: "Activate Electric Hot Plate." Activate. As in use the Electric Hot Plate--174.0.106.101 16:21, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

P.S. Fixed.--174.0.106.101 16:28, July 6, 2011 (UTC)

Missing information[]

You guys forgot to add the Technicals tab which shows the base ID which, for some people, is the only reason they come here. Do any of you mind finding it and place it there? Thanks. I also took the liberty to find the base ID for you. It's xx011219. --Jo-Barf Creepy 15:56, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

It's already on the page. --Xa3 15:57, July 23, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, because I added it a few minutes after I posted this. --Jo-Barf Creepy 20:40, July 31, 2011 (UTC)
