Hostile Clarke[]

No matter what I do, Clarke never initiates conversation with me. He always turns hostile. If I enter the room, if I don't enter the room, if Danse is with me, if Danse is gone, if I am in power armor, or if I am not. I even tried using a stealth boy to sneak in undetected to snag the key and come down from the top. No bueno. Even though I was undetected he turned hostile as soon as I entered the room. This is *&$#! frustrating. Calfret (talk) 21:38, December 16, 2015 (UTC)

This was the same for me, but the bug on the article is correct for me, my power armor has targeting on the head, as soon as I entered the zone the objective "Kill Clarke" popped up and he would always go hostel as soon as he saw me. I was able to load before entering, and took the helmet off my power armor, and entered without the Kill objective popping up. To test I put the targeting helmet back on the suit while in the zone, and got in the armor, and his blip changed from orange to red and the kill objective activated. If your power armor targets him he goes hostel and won't go back. Draklerahl (talk) 03:12, January 9, 2016 (UTC)

Tested with Berry Mentats, same as the Targeting HUD, as soon as they're active, he's targeted and goes hostel Draklerahl (talk)

The same happens with a synth helmet with highlight living things active. Remove the helmet and it's fine.

Got power armor piece with killing Clarke[]

Currently, it says that there's just the 100 caps reward from Kells upon killing Clarke, but I killed him and got an AP refreshment power armor helmet from Kells. When I was near Clarke, I just walked past him. He turned hostile, I killed him withot having talked to him.

Clarke at Cambridge Police Station[]

I've just added the note that Initiate Clark will be found in the lockup at the Cambridge Police Station if you convince him to turn himself in. The Lockup terminal also updates with an entry for him. Seems strange he would be incarcerated there and not either on the Prydwen or in the Airport?

Stage 380[]

I got this mission well before completing Call to Arms, after stumbling onto "The Lost Patrol," and don't even remember if I had that Q. I was cleaning out the Airport area, before completing the prerequisites for the approach of the Prydwen, went into the lower levels and advanced Duty or Dishonor somehow to "Find Initiate Clarke." I completely cleared the lower levels, at some point the quest advanced to "Kill Initiate Clarke," then went on to do many other quests elsewhere, over a year ago. What I remember for certain is that the quest pointer, as I was leaving, was up at ground level, near the tarmac, in something that looked like a hanger or warehouse, later it was revealed to be the BoS warehouse, but there was no Clark or any other NPC at the pin. I never spoke to Clarke, and never found him, but I may have seen somebody run away at one point when underground. When I was leaving the airport the quest said "Kill Initiate Clarke."

Now I have begun the BoS questline, am doing Show No Mercy, just spoke to Lancer Captain Kells and he directed me to speak to Knight-Sergeant Gavil. So I checked my getstage, and it says 380, "speak to Knight-Sergeant Gavil," and "Kill Initiate Clarke." If I get more info about this I plan to post a follow-up. • Tried resetting the quest, even tried resetting faction affinities on Clarke (resulted in inability to speak to Clarke) and resetting some faction affinities, but could not find any way to complete this quest without failing and resulting in enemy of BoS. Changing Clarke's affinities resulted in this quest being locked at stage 0 (inactive), even after console commands to set stage 70. Proceeded with what I think is the proper edits to the Wiki (adding stage 380 and note) as a result. HalloweenWeed (talk) 18:39, April 2, 2017 (UTC)
  • Regarding the quest stage description "I entered the Airport ruins, and executed the optional quest to exterminate the Ghouls before interrogating Initiate Clarke. As a result, Clarke has turned hostile towards the sole survivor and I cannot execute conversation with him. After this point when encountering Clarke, the only choices are to eliminate Initiate Clarke despite the Brotherhood of Steel consequences (turns hostile), or simply flee the area. The quest can not continue until Clarke is killed (fail).": Perhaps it could be added that Initate Clarke became angry that the sole survivor killed the ghouls, and thus Clarke is hostile towards him, but I don't think it should be added that Clarke was stealing the supplies as at that point it was not discovered that Clarke was stealing the supplies. But to keep the description short this was all omitted. HalloweenWeed (talk) 19:22, April 2, 2017 (UTC)
