Divide CC list into 3 categories

The ingame CC menu divides content into 3 categories- Apparel (including paint jobs), Weapons, and World. Same should be done here; not a big deal right now but for when more CC content gets added. 17:35, September 18, 2017 (UTC)

"Obtaining" section may be redundant

I personally don't think the Obtaining section is needed in the tables since how it is obtained is briefly explained in each item's description in the CC store. I think it should be replaced by player notes and guides (including tips/tricks/trivia) on the specific item. I suggest copy/pasting the obtaining method from the CC store directly into the Description section of the table. Eddo36 (talk) 08:30, October 14, 2017 (UTC)

The removal of obtaining might be an option, but to include the tips/tricks we would have to change our entire article content policy as it does read "All content needs to be objective. Opinions, gameplay strategy, and "my favorite"-style passages should not be added to articles. Accordingly, guides may only be posted as subpages of one's user page or as a blog." Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 08:36, October 14, 2017 (UTC)
The "Obtaining" column is maybe too detailed right now but I'd like to keep it. For weapons and apparel it could say "Through the quest XYZ", "Directly deposited in inventory", "To be crafted on a weapons workbench". Until the community votes on wether or not we can create articles for each mod we should keep the column since the information isn't available elsewhere. --YOD ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ 09:39, October 14, 2017 (UTC)
Then instead of tips/tricks we can list stats for the weapons/armor. Eddo36 (talk) 05:39, October 16, 2017 (UTC)
Anyways I still think the Obtaining section should be more simplified. Maybe copy the exact short obtaining description from CC menu. Eddo36 (talk) 12:31, December 3, 2017 (UTC)

Power Horse Armor or Horse Power Armor?

Which one is it really named in the game? Eddo36 (talk) 09:11, November 2, 2017 (UTC)

It's named power horse armor. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 17:21, November 2, 2017 (UTC)
In Xbox it is listed in the CC menu as "Horse Power Armor". Regardless the list on this page should be in alphabetical order as in the CC menu. Eddo36 (talk) 08:42, November 3, 2017 (UTC)
It is also titled Horse Power Armor on PC. I have moved the article and updated this page appropriately. TheMoonRover (talk) 02:07, December 22, 2017 (UTC)
They must have changed the name during the latest update. Before, it was power horse armor on PC. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 08:57, December 22, 2017 (UTC)

Canon vs. Non

This may be beating a dead horse, I'm not sure, but couldn't we determine, from past material, what from the CC could be considered canon or not? Certain items are known in the lore. Again, hope this isn't the wrong place Dovahdude (talk) 00:41, February 1, 2018 (UTC)

Well, I'd personally think the Creation Club content in general could be considered Semi-Canon. Considering that Bethesda may have made some content that would make sense and others that would be wacky, but that is just me. Regardless, I think we should mark pages with the CCC template as a compromise for now. Similar to section of pages marked as "non-canon" (ex: Canon pages with Van Buren info like NCR).
Because I can tell that withholding information, made by a company who made the game, for the wiki would not sit well with some people. But this could change in the future in the end as Bethesda produces more CC content like Tunnel Snakes Rule!. Batran99 (talk) 01:23, February 1, 2018 (UTC)
Because many users have tried to add Creation Club-related information on main pages the last few days, the discussion on what to do with Creation Club will probably be reopened pretty soon (I thought someone said later this week). Keep an eye on the forums I'd say :)

Seems fair, I'll keep a look out. If nothing else, I'm hoping we can all agree the Chinese stealth and Hellfire armors, as well as tunnel snakes, is Canon lol. Since it's so rooted in lore. Others I could see being semi, like the Doom gun and horse armor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dovahdude (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Yet other people would argue that their existence in the Commonwealth is not canon in the slightest. It isn't inconceivable that they are there, DC isn't that far, however there is nothing else beyond this miniture add-on to really align it. Add in that some items are clearly non-canon and were created for demonstration purposes. There will be a forum shortly. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 08:03, February 1, 2018 (UTC)

Understood. But like others have said, it's publishes by Bethesda. Sure, perhaps some of them were worked on by others, but with full oversight by the company that made the game and added by them. That's like say NV isn't Canon, in a way. I'll keep an eye on the forum. Dovahdude (talk) 21:58, February 1, 2018 (UTC)

Since we are now a while in regarding CC I believe we should allow edits regarding CC content on other pages but possibly mark them. After all while CC may be showing conflicts with lore it is officially sold by Bethesda and created by Bethesda (although in some cases via contractors). While things like the Prey Suit seems questionable it is possible that Bethesda games share Universes to some extent or that Bethesda Franchises exist in fictional form in the Fallout Universe. For example the Prey Suit could be Replica Prop an of in-game pre-war movie. So I believe we should consider it canon unless any official statement says otherwise. However we should be careful as Bethesda could declare it non-canon and as such I suggest marking or separating creation club related edits into a section on pages where those are necessary or helpful. While I find the sliders make sense in order to shorten the page I do believe if makes the page lose proper overviews of bundle content/available content. For one there is no easy way to see all available canines at once anymore. I do believe this is not a good choice.

Additionally I feel like the style of the sliders just isn't good and doesn't fit properly with the page an their intended purpose here. At this small size the navigation and caption takes close to 50% of the space available for the image. This makes is somewhat bothersome to see any detail on the pictures. Sure you can click them if you want to see more detail but at this point it is kind of difficult to make out much on the thumbs there. Noxwyll (talk) 07:58, July 12, 2018 (UTC)

Additionally the "expand button" is not helpful in this situation. It does not list the items in the slider but rather just shows all images in the page in a seemingly random order. Noxwyll (talk) 08:01, July 12, 2018 (UTC)
Mobile tables
Its a problem either way imo. With the images set on their own vertically it isn't great on desktop, but horrendous on mobile (most of our formatting is stripped out, see the snippet for how they look with the sliders). The text in the sliders isn't too bad, I'll look at adding bit of extra transparency to them so the content is more visible (I also increased the image size to that end too). The navigation is an issue through, if I try and trim maybe 5-10% of the width, and/or add some transparency that should assist with that. The expand button is absolute garbage though, I'll have a look through the gallery documentation to see if I can do away with it. I also plan to fix the alignment of the sliders too.
I feel like we are dealing with a "lesser of two evils" issue with this one. Short of re-writing all the tables as

<div> tables with a mass of CSS, I'm no sure what other options we have. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 08:52, July 12, 2018 (UTC)

As much as I dislike it. Maybe we should go text only and try to link the images only. Like one cell with a list in it and a link to the images after. Like "Blue [View]" Noxwyll (talk) 11:06, July 16, 2018 (UTC)

Camouflage Bundle

The new Camouflage Paint Job Bundle bundles 6 old skins and 6 new skins (not yet in the wikia) in one exclusive package. There are 3 skins for each category of skins and what's the best way to sort all these items, with the rest of the skins or as a bundle? In can provide pics and description, if somebody could point out the best way to take the scan. P.S.: Been supporting this page for a few months, but still not as a registered user. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Files considered for re-upload

If anyone got better scans of these files, it'll be a welcoming addition, as the scans provided by me are incorrectly cut. (Black/Brown bars)
