Melee Weapon?[]
I think that this weapon might not be effected by the Melee Weapons skill. When I first got it, my Melee Weapons skill was at 30-something, I repaired it fully, my normal Nail Board had a DAM of about 8 or 9, while the Board of Education sat at 12.edit: forgot to sign inFiddlesoup 02:17, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
Board of Education is found at Clifftop Shacks,
in the dark abandoned shack with no hostages,
next to a bed with skeleton.

New to the site, but I think the Board might be semi-unique. I found one at the location stated here, as well as one in Germantown Police Headquarters.

Explanation of the Gag Name[]
I think the reason why it's called "Board of Education" is because the 3-D model of the board is based off of Roll Away Chalkboard legs. These types of chalkboards can be found all over the Capitol Wastes, and if you find one and drop the Nailboard holding it up, I think you'll find they're based off the same 3-D model. I think it also should be noted that the clifftop shack it's found in probably was a teacher's house, judging by the amount of books found in there. Conjecture, I know, but just a thought.

Munchkin?[]
Could this reference be removed from the notes section? I mean, Munchkin was actually a card game from what I gather (although it did spawn a d20 GURPS spinoff), Fallout 1 didn't use GURPS in the end anyway, and Fallout 3 was made by completely different developers based entirely on the already-established S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system. This seems like it's probably more of a coincidence than anything else. It's not unthinkable that more than one person would come up with a play on that homonym, considering that "Board of Education" is a pretty recognizable phrase. Oh, and to the previous poster, that's dope -- I definitely hadn't noticed but I'm going to have to check out the nail board vs. the chalkboard legs in the game. Love the attention to detail!
