Every time I try to approach this cave my game crashes. Haven't had any other crashes (and played about 44 hour now). 4 times now I've tried from different saves)--Crossmr 01:33, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

name change?[]

on the map it's black rock cave, why is the page called cavern?

Black Rock Cavern is the name of the interior. --Kris User Hola 23:38, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

I sort of agree with the first guy here we should keep to what it says on the map marker,it would prolly make it easyer to navigate the wiki.81.231.59.40 20:50, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Nightkin[]

I visited here directly after completing Tabitha's quest, and allowing her and Rhonda to leave peacefully. The nightkin here aren't hostile, perhaps as a result of the quest outcome? The other (surviving) Super Mutants on Black Mountain turn non-hostile once the quest is done...it is possible that applies here (and possibly other locations) as well. Others should confirm their status pre-Tabitha.

same here

I've run into a few hostile Super Mutants at Black Mountain after repairing Rhonda, but most that remain are non-hostile; ironically the ones that remain hostile are mostly Nightkin along the road, though I did encounter a hostile Brute or two at the fast-travel point. I'll make it a point to stop by Black Rock Cavern. --Kris User Hola 10:10, November 24, 2010 (UTC)

Seems pretty obvious to me that this is a reference to Blackrock Mountain in the Warcraft series, considering the similarities between super mutants and orcs.

At a stretch you could also link the coyotes to hellhounds and the paladin toaster to sulfuras, the hand of ragnaros.

Blackrock is to common a name to draw the conclusion. And, yes, the rest of what you list is a real stretch. Not a reference to Warcraft.--Gothemasticator 05:16, June 10, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, by that logic, I could say that this Black Rock Cave is based off the the Black Rock Cave from The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. But I'm not even suggesting that.--Kajex Firedrake 10:15, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Nightkin always hostile?[]

In my game Nightkins were always hostile. After "Crazy, crazy, crazy" resolved by repairing robot - too.

many NPC's Spawn outside the cave[]

Like, Easy Pete, Trudy. caravaner(s) from C.C. I think it has to do with it being at the center of world map

Mentions of Crazy, Crazy, Crazy should be removed[]

The note on Crazy, Crazy, Crazy conflicts with one of the bugs (a pretty common one if it is indeed a bug, the same happens to me). Unless this 'intended' behaviour is confirmed elsewhere, wouldn't it be better to just remove the references to the quest and say the nightkin may not be hostile to the player?--77.101.211.23 20:29, April 3, 2013 (UTC)

Black Rock Talk[]

Could someone try and get some of the nightkin talk from this page and put the quotes on the wiki? I'll check the G.E.C.K. when I get a chance, but I can't find things easily.
