huh???[]

why does this page exist? (Thelee 05:30, January 24, 2012 (UTC))

Only because he was mentioned in Fallout lore. Might be worth seeing if we can merge this with another page though. Dragon Skål! 05:30, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
Perhaps we should have a page for each Fallout intro, so that all the little topics are in one place.AaaaaTheNemesisx 05:31, January 24, 2012 (UTC)

Actually, I first protested these pages when they were made. My argument was that real-life characters, regardless of if they're mentioned once, are not Fallout lore. This stuff belongs on Wikipedia. But if you take a look at the Vladimir Lenin talk page, you'll see why these pages exist. Maybe now that we've started the wiki fresh, we can see about getting rid of these stupid pages. 114.77.77.5 05:39, January 24, 2012 (UTC)

I do have to agree with you there anon that i have never met or herd about in my whole entire life at this wiki XD but anyway IIRC it was Trolly Polly who had created these pages which cause a bit of controversiy at first, id rather have them removed and in its place have links to the people who are mentioned from the intro's to wikipedia (like you said) on the Fallout Intro pages.AaaaaTheNemesisx 05:42, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
True or at the very least we should create a forum and vote on keeping them or deleting them.AaaaaTheNemesisx 05:51, January 24, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, page history does prove that Trolly made this. I remember that Tagaziel wasn't happy with having pages for real people either, but we couldn't convince the Admins at the time. If we can get Jspoel and Scar on board, maybe we can see about merging all these pages into a directory. 114.77.77.5 05:45, January 24, 2012 (UTC)

If Trolly Polly wrote it is must be full off ill intent. I still feel sick over how I helped that Malcontent. I welcomed him, her or IT and even designed an avatar for that wrong minded hater. I was rewarded with viscous spam and site vandalism.

Mentioned[]

So where and when was he mentioned again? Agent c (talk) 16:34, November 17, 2012 (UTC)

As far as I know, the only mention is in the intro: "Hitler shaped a battered Germany into an economic superpower." Paladin117>>iff bored; 16:41, November 17, 2012 (UTC)
Thats the only mention I remember, and not sure its worthy enough for an article. Let me review the intros again and see how other mentioned in the intro only people are dealt with. Agent c (talk) 17:00, November 17, 2012 (UTC)
Right, looks like his mention in the Intro is fairly unique. Seems the best course of action is to ask Danny as leader of the logical history project if he wants to cover it, but my personal opinion is that there isnt enough to warrant an article, particularly one that has all the right ingredients to be a vandalism magnet. Agent c (talk) 17:05, November 17, 2012 (UTC)
I'm with Chad, don't see any reason for Hitler to have an article. --Enclavesymbol 17:05, November 17, 2012 (UTC)

Agent c has invited me to provide some input on this matter, and after some contemplating I have decided that I agree with the others in that there is not enough relevant information on Adolf Hitler to warrant an article of its own, nor is the mention even that significant when compared to other real-world people's pages. To quote more of the mention to provide context:

War. War never changes.

The Romans waged war to gather slaves and wealth. Spain built an empire from its lust for gold and territory. Hitler shaped a battered Germany into an economic superpower.

But war never changes.
Fallout intro

The quote wherein Hitler is mentioned is referring to the nature of war. It then provided a few examples - the Romans, the Spanish conquistadors, and Hitler. In my opinion, there is not enough relevance to actual Fallout as the mention is only in regards to pre-Divergence history.

Looking at the page history, I must say I wish proper procedure had been taken first instead of an edit war. But now if there are no objections or arguments against deletion then I will delete this page after a day. --Skire (talk) 22:11, November 17, 2012 (UTC)

As a Devils advocate, reluctantly, I ask, please can we see the whole text just one more time?

  • There should be no doubt that this had a fair reading.

I suspect this was just more hatemongering but to honestly put it to sleep for once and all times we should see the Original post one more time. Please ? Then none could say IT did not get a fair reading.

  • Read it one more time then. We can say "It was justly considered"

Note : I have little doubt what the conclusion should be, I'm anti Nazi. I am just to pro Liberty not to give it one more read before I say "Suck It NazI" Post denied!

Looking at the original text, it had nothing to do with fallout, did not indicate which games the subject was mentioned in and the quotes included were seemingly selected to ridicule the subject. Agent c (talk) 12:41, November 18, 2012 (UTC)

he's mentioned, so he need s to be here 94.253.131.152

He's only mentioned, in passing, and in the intro. Realistically we have to look at what we would put in such an article - he's mentioned in the intro and that is it. Agent c (talk) 22:36, November 18, 2012 (UTC)

So far, I've heard no convincing arguments as to why Hitler should have his own page. In addition to everything said by myself and others before, we have an old forum page that has determined without objection the initial deletion of the page. Furthermore, there is 0 content on the article right now, which is understandable considering its complete irrelevance to Fallout lore. And so Agent c and I have agreed to delete this page. --Skire (talk) 22:55, November 18, 2012 (UTC)
