I've read in many difference places that the action boy adds +25 action points, so, is the Xbox360 loading-screen-slide just an oversight? The little blurb says Action boys add +20. --AshRandom 20:39, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Managed to answer my own question. After adding up what should equal 140 action points I was able to rack up 7 VATS attacks with weapons listed at 20AP. So, the loading-screen-slide is just a typo after all. Ash Nuke AshRandom (Talk) 16:17, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Does anyone else think they nerfed Action Boy/Girl in Fallout NV? It ony gives you +15 per rank, with two ranks it's still only +5 more AP then in Fallout 3. Also in NV you get perks every other level, which makes this whole thing even more stupid, I think we're better off getting Math Wrath instead of this.

Reference Edit

Would it be worth noting this perk is a likely reference to Superman? The Pip-Boy has the same basic look - tights, cape, and a big letter across the chest. And the addition of glasses is also probably a nod to Superman's Clark Kent persona. Although it's equally possible that the artist just came up with a generic superhero outfit (i.e. in the sense that almost all super heroes wear tights and a cape).--69.204.216.160 11:27, January 12, 2013 (UTC)


Bugs Edit

In Fallout 4, this perk appears to be bugged, if the following are true: 1) the player took Rank 1 and/or Rank 2 of Action Boy/Action Girl before installing Far Harbor; 2) the player takes Rank 3 after installing Far Harbor. The consequence of this bug is that the AP regeneration rate reverts to base; that is, none of the three ranks will have any effect. --170.222.183.102 14:19, June 14, 2016 (UTC)

There is a console workaround. Before taking rank 3, remove and then add back the first two ranks:
player.removeperk 65df6
player.removeperk 4d872
(save game, then reload game)
player.addperk 4d872
player.addperk 65df6
Rank 3 will now work correctly when taken.
