I could not find the BB Gun here?
This page is useless replica, it also supplies the wrong information. It needs to be deleted!
- No, it won't be deleted; it's not a useless replica, the other page (Abilene Kid LE BB gun) was but I changed it to redirect to this one. --Kris 10:43, October 30, 2010 (UTC)
Its location Edit
I found it in a place called Jimmy's Well, when I was about to go to the Boomers for the first time, I talked to Rex, he said something. I chose the option: Did someone fall into the well. Then a pip-boy face with the ... showed up, indicating a Wild Wasteland treat. I went to Jimmy's Well, which was nearby and found the Abilene BB Gun there.
Insane Damage Edit
Correct me if I'm wrong but if my math is correct, then this gun has the potential to do 436 DMG!
Base DMG (BD): 4
Crit DMG (CD): 70
Better Criticals (BC): 105 (70 x 50% (35) = 105)
Sneak Attack (SA): 2x DMG
Head Shot (HS): 2x DMG (I think...)
70 (CD) + 35 (BC) = 105 + 4 (BD) = 109 x 2 (SA) = 218 x 2 (HS) = 436 DMG
w/o Better Criticals:
70 (CD) + 4 (BD) = 74 x 2 (SA) = 148 x 2 (HS) = 296 DMG

I haven't tested it but if you're right this may very well be one of the best guns in the game! 436 damage is a little under the damage of 3(!!) Archimedes II blasts--Ze5ro1 05:14, January 18, 2011 (UTC)

you can't have critical on top of sneak critical, they are the same criticals 126.96.36.199
so how does its damage calculated? for usual crit its 4+70(crit damage), thats simple. but for sneak attack it's definitely not dmgx2, maybe it's 4+70? so what about sneak+crit attack? (4+70)x2 or some insane damage? maybe i don't understand right how sneak attacks work... in FO:NV combat article stated that SA makes dmgx2 or it makes dmgx2 only with sneak+crit and, without usual crit, sneak attack makes this attack crit. can someone explain that to me, please?
Possible FO2 Reference: Edit
In Fo2 there was a unique BB gun called the red ryder LE, which did massive amounts of damage too.Zac hemker 23:44, May 24, 2011 (UTC)
Modified accuracy notesEdit
There was a paragraph that listed some issues with the weapon's accuracy, but had misleading information about how the game works. First, it basically claimed that spread doesn't affect VATS accuracy, which it does. It also claimed that the Base VATS to-hit chance GECK property affects a weapon's accuracy in VATS, which it doesn't. That properly sets how easy it is to hit the weapon when aimed at in VATS; it has nothing to do with the weapon's VATS accuracy. I just thought I'd leave this note here so people know why that information was removed.
Short version: Spread affects accuracy in and out of VATS, and VATS to-hit doesn't do what you think it does.--SushiSquid 09:22, July 9, 2011 (UTC)
Honest Hearts, Zion Canyon usageEdit
Particularly useful in Zion:
- Cheap to shoot and repair. Bring 4000 rounds from Mojave and you barely feel the weight, but you can shoot till the cow comes home. Repair it cost peanuts.
- Suppressed sound. i dont think it's really silent. still, good enough for assassination and more than adequate for long range sniping. What do you care about waste of shots, right?
