Why are 25mm grenades high explosive so expensive?[]
They only do 1.35 times the damage, for 10 times the cost? Really? Is there some speed thing that is not apparent, because I have never actually used them. Can someone explain? --Dandys 03:47, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

These are like the 45-70 Gov't ammo for me, I can only buy the High Explosive rounds from 2 vendors. I can't find the normal ones anywhere else. And those rounds really aren't worth the money.--Jolipinator 16:49, December 1, 2010 (UTC)
The boomer munitions manager sells the regular type (usually like 20-30 or so), this can be utilized by saving the game, quitting, and then loading {not continuing} the game to restock his inventory.
Go for the 25mm high explosive[]
Don't even waste your money on the regular type, go directly for the high explosive ones. Although more expensive, the x1.35 damage AND the AoE x1.36 really makes for it. Add the Splash Damage + one rank of Demolition Expert and you have a serious "house cleaner" on your hands, you simply kill packs of foes that are distant from each other much more easily.
If you don't want to spend money on these, I think that the 40mm version that Thump-Thump/Grenade Launcher/Mercy use are better suited. Or your Hand grenades with Heavy Ho! + Demolition Expert. BTW, the Incendiary Grenades/40mm Incendiary are affected by the Pyromaniac perk, I use them a lot against Deathclaws.

- Just to interject, the 25mm HE grenades only deal 35% more damage with the impact of the grenade itself (5 damage becomes 6.), the 50 points of blast damage are not increased. Nitty Tok. 17:53, August 10, 2011 (UTC)
I've tested both variants of 25mm grenades(standard and he) with living anatomy perk and should say that blast damage is affected by HE grenades. I don't know if it was patched or people who's said otherwise didn't tested it in the first place, but nevertheless I've removed this mistake from the page.212.104.95.13 01:53, June 19, 2014 (UTC)
25mm Pulse/Plasma?[]
Is there any good place to get large quantities of 25mm Pulse or Plasma grenades? I tried Silver Rush but they only have like 15 or less at a time. Did I miss a perk that lets me craft them (mad bomber or something similar) or what? It seems like they added them into to the game just to technically say they did it and then never let you use them, kinda like throwing knives.
The Boomer Munitions Manager at Nellis Hangers sells 25mm Pulse & Plasma Grenades, but not in very large quantities.Hakashi57 14:58, October 3, 2011 (UTC)
Bug?[]
Has anyone else tried using the 25 mm pulse grenades on robots? In my games they haven't applied the extra damage, and if they act this way for others, we could list it under bugs.
