This is a "10mm" round, not a ".10mm" round. A ".10mm" round would be 1/10 of a mm, instead of "10mm" being 1cm. Dafpants 04:30, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
I propose we change this page to match the format of 5.56mm round or change that page to match the format of this page. I prefer the format of the 5.56mm page, with the summary, followed by the game breakdown with weapons that use subhead, instead of the summary followed by a weapons that use breakdown with games subhead.Ralphredimix 17:55, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I was just going to change this one to the 5.56mm one as well. Ausir 17:58, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

- I wasn't sure why there wasn't a wikipedia link to the 10mm Auto article in wikipedia similar to the link to the 5.56x45mm NATO article in the 5.56mm Round article, so I added it. We can always revert if it's not wanted.→Torin23 22:23, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Most common?[]
According to .32 caliber round and 5.56mm round, 10mm rounds must be the most common. I noticed a conflict between those articles and this, so I changed this article with the assumption that the other articles were accurate.
Vault13.net[]
Apparently this page is now defunct. Does anyone have an archive preserved copy of the interview? I'm sure Ausir wouldn't mind hosting it for posterity. ABCoLD 03:54, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- We do have a local copy of the interview at Chris Taylor interview for Vault13.net. Haven't replaced the link in all places, though. Ausir 04:00, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
10mm or .40 S&W with different name?[]
The real [10mm Auto] cartridge is actually more powerful than a .357 magnum cartridge making it unsuitable for standard issue, especially when fired out of a non revolver weapon, yet the in game round's performance is more like a 9mm and considering that as of 2009 the 9x19mm round is already starting to fall out of favor due to the increased prevalence of body armor (among other things). The 9mm might be replaced with something like the .40 S&W which is technically speaking a necked down 10mm Auto cartridge, their bullet diameter is virtually identical and sometimes the .40 S&W is called the 10mm Short.
Most Common?[]
I don't believe that the 10mm is the most common ammo type in the game. I've found many, many more rounds of 5.56mm than I have of 10mm, or even 32 cal rounds.
- I would have to say that since 5.56mm is only used in automatic weapons, the devs put in more of them to compensate. That's why there are more 5.56 rounds than .32 or 10mm. That and there are more opportunities to get 5.56mm, such as the Outcast Collection Agency and stuff like that. Best regards, Kastera (talk) 15:03, March 26, 2011 (UTC)
