“The T-51 series of Power Armor was the pinnacle of mechanized protection before the Great War. First introduced in the Battle of Anchorage, it is highly valued today for its increased protective capabilities.”— Fallout 4 loading screens
T-51 power armor is a set of power armor appearing in Fallout 4.
Background
A pre-War product of West Tek in conjunction with the United States government.[1] The armor was developed at Fort Strong, utilized in both China and at the Battle of Anchorage.[2][3][4][5] A power armor frame is required to mount T-51 power armor, and pieces spawned can vary from A to F models.

Variants
- Piezonucleic power armor - Unique T-51 torso potentially obtained as a quest reward for finishing the Cambridge Polymer Labs quest.
- Nuka T-51 power armor - Unique full set of T-51 armor with the unique Nuka-Cola paint job.
Locations
Main article: Power armor (Fallout 4)
- Worn by Clint at the Quincy ruins, it is guaranteed to be an almost full set of T-51 power armor. It is at the Overpass where Clint would normally be outside of his armor.
- An incomplete suit is worn by Tessa at the nearby Quincy police station, though she may be wandering around nearby. Tessa's suit has only a T-51 power armor torso (possibly one that belonged to Clint) and the unique raider power armor right arm, Tessa's Fist.
- Worn by an unnamed Gunner on the other side of Bradberton Overpass in Nuka-World, this suit is identical to Clint's. Nearby is a partial suit of level-dependent X-01 that can be worn by another Gunner if awoken.
- Pieces can be bought from Rowdy at the Atom Cats garage.
Notes
- The T-51 is the only power armor model whose basic A-tier isn't primarily rust colored. Applying military paint to the A-tier will result in the rust color.
- In Far Harbor, a full set of T-51 power armor with multiple fusion cores lying around can be found in a cave next to a vertibird wreckage on the seafloor, along with some loot. The objects can only be reached using mods or console commands, as they lie right outside of the game boundary.

Thomas Morgan: "The T-51b units are at 95 percent readiness level. We've had a bit of trouble adapting them to the cold."
Constantine Chase: "What are we looking at for losses if we pull this off?"
Thomas Morgan: "I'd say about 20 percent, sir. But that number significantly decreases if we can get the tin cans in there."
Constantine Chase: "Any word from Washington on my latest request?"
Thomas Morgan: "Sorry sir, they said the technicians are still dragging their heels a bit on the fusion power plant issues."
Constantine Chase: "Well you tell them that if they want their viable liberation contingency ready in case Operation: Anchorage fails, they need to get off their asses!"
