For other uses of the term survivor, see Survivor. |
The survivor is a hostile vault dweller encountered in Vault 106 in 2277.
Background[]
A descendent of original vault dwellers, the survivor has been left insane by the psychoactive drugs that are still being pumped through the air systems of Vault 106 as a result of the Vault's experiment. Because of this, the survivor only functions on primal reflexes.
Interactions with the player character[]
Interactions overview[]
Interactions | ||
---|---|---|
This character drops a finger upon death (Lawbringer). |
Other interactions[]
- The survivor is always hostile towards the Lone Wanderer.
- When the survivor's Hit Points are reduced below 80%, a hallucination starts, in which the survivor disappears and the Lone Wanderer is attacked by hallucinatory versions of their childhood bullies, Butch DeLoria, Wally Mack, and Paul Hannon Jr.
- When the survivor's Hit Points are reduced below 45%, a hallucination starts, in which the survivor turns invisible (same as a Stealth Boy effect), preventing the Lone Wanderer from targeting them in V.A.T.S.
- If the survivor is killed immediately when encountered, the childhood bully hallucination and Stealth Boy effect may not occur.
- Alternatively, if the Lone Wanderer's companion attacks the survivor, nothing will occur until at least one hit is made by the player character.

- During the hallucination of the "childhood fight," your game may freeze, and you will have to restart your computer and load the last saved point. [verified]
- The Wally hallucination's head may remain and float in midair, even after the hallucination ends if it was shot off with a railway rifle. [verified]
- The hallucination may end while Wally is still alive and, if it does, he may remain and keep fighting you but disappears when you kill him. [verified]
