Sugar Bombs is a pre-War breakfast cereal that can be found all around the Wasteland, packaged in white and blue boxes with a red ovoid logo at the top, fully labeled as "Sugar Bombs breakfast cereal." Numerous promotional posters can be found posted on walls around the wasteland, touting the Sugar Bombs' "explosive great taste!" and some supposedly contain a "free Captain Cosmos decoder ring," though one has yet to be found. The cereal pieces themselves are modeled after atomic bombs, resembling the Fat Man, or perhaps more relevantly, a mini nuke.
Sugar Bombs are mildly useful food items, which provide only a small amount of Hit Points when consumed. In Fallout: New Vegas, Sugar Bombs are individually distinct from most other "basic" food items; they now provide a limited boost to the player character's maximum Action Points.
Irradiated Sugar BombsEdit
The irradiated variant appears in the game as a normal box of Sugar Bombs, but it has absorbed an amount of radiation. They are rare and found in a few most irradiated spots in the Mojave wasteland.
Behind the scenesEdit
The words "Sugar Bomb" is a pop culture phrase meaning a food with little or no nutritional value. "Sugar Bombs" could also reference the cereal from the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson..
