Sturdy scrap metal is a miscellaneous quest item in Fallout 76, introduced in the Burning Springs update.

A yellow plastic barrel with the rust raider's logo on it, filled with scrap metal that Beastmaster Lina uses for armoring deathclaws.

These barrels can found in the Jackson Junkyard during the public event Gearin' Up.
